Hey y’all! Crafting updates should resume tomorrow. I ran some errands yesterday, got overheated*, spent the rest of the day recovering, then woke up this morning in the middle of an allergic reaction and have spent the day recovering from the dehydration that caused**. I’m doing better, but I have not had the spoons for crafting this weekend. Minor explanation below the read more

*I knew I’d have to be outside, so I prepped by taking salt pills ahead of time and drinking lots of water and gatorade, but it wasn’t enough. It was not heat exhaustion, I’m just *extremely* susceptible to heat and humidity because of a combination of POTS, adrenal issues, and the associated Salt Problems **not explaining that one, except to say it was a relatively minor reaction, over quickly, but it compounded the dehydration from the day before and my blood pressure today has been. Uh. uncooperative? about doing anything but sitting still and reading

#the person behind the yarn #medical mention #my ability to tolerate heat is non-existent #I start visibly wilting at like...not even 80 degrees fahrenheit #the only good thing about my circulatory issues is that heat-induced problems for me are immediately very obviously visible #(which is to say I either go super red or super pale in the heat depending on how my POTS wants to be that day)#which is one of those symptoms that for me just means my circulatory system is being weird again #and I can fix it by cooling down drinking water and eating salt #but in other people is one of those like...oh shit! kind of moments? you know?#so it's WAY easier for me to get accommodations now than it used to be #also I have a magic phrase of End This Conversation Now I keep in my back pocket #which is a liiitttle bit bending the truth and fairly rude but works! very well!#with less rude options too. I've never had to use the rudest one yet but it is prepared
