hi!! ur m&l iceberg appeared on my dash, and i mmmight wanna make a premiere video abt it someday?? (if i'm able 2 get the right tools 4 the job kdkdjndg i wanna do game commentary and maybe reviews) but like!! do u mind explaining each of the points in crude detail?? i already know abt most of them as well, but just 2 be sure!! ty :D

I'm HONORED you'd consider making a video about my chart! However, I had some problems with answering this as Tumblr would frequently delete all of my progress. I assume this is because of the answer simply being too long, which is why I'll try to tackle three layers at a time. I will add more parts of the explanation with every reblog. I'm truly sorry but this is the only option.

Just as a little refresher, here's the full chart! Explanations are under the cut because this is gonna be long >:)

Alright let's get into this!

Layers 1 - 3:

Layer 1

-Seven games:

In total there's seven games in the Mario and Luigi series, five original titles (Superstar Saga, Partners In Time, Bowser's Inside Story, Dream Team, Paper Jam) and two remakes (Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions, Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Junior's Journey)

-Striped socks:

On the original artworks for the Mario and Luigi games, Luigi is seen wearing striped socks, something unique to this series. However, the socks haven't shown up in official artwork since Dream Team.

-Luigi running gag:

In the Mario and Luigi games there exists a common running gag that consists of Luigi being underestimated or completely forgotten by other characters. They'll often praise Mario while then either insulting or downplaying Luigi.

-Giant battles:

In Bowser's Inside Story and Dream Team there exists a form of battles known as "giant battles", during which Bowser (in BIS) and Luigi (in DT) turn massive to face off against giant enemies. The player has to flip their DS/3DS horizontally and dodge/fire off attacks by tapping the touch screen. In Paper Jam, there's also a form of battles called "papercraft battles" in which the player controls giant paper figurines, looking similar to the game's characters.

-Superstar Saga on Switch:

On February 8th 2023, Nintendo announced the port of several GBA games to Nintendo Switch Online, with Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga being one of them. Superstar Saga is currently the only title to be playable on Switch.

Layer 2

-Fawful in PIT:

In PIT there exists an optional area right underneath Peach's castle, in which you can observe a mysterious hooded figure. If you follow them with Baby Mario and Baby Luigi, the person reveals himself to be Fawful, who quickly starts telling the babies about his plan for revenge. He starts getting more and more emotional during his speech, but tells the babies that there's no need to worry about him. The player can then pay Fawful with beans in exchange for rare badges. This scene foreshadowes the entirety of Bowser's Inside Story, in which Fawful takes over the Mushroom kingdom, making his plan reality.

-The blorbs:

The blorbs are an illness that plagues the Mushroom Kingdom during the events of Bowser's Inside Story. If a Toad consumes a so called "Blorb Mushroom" they will get infected with the disease, causing their bodies to grow large and round, immobilizing them. The blorbs play an important role in the plot, as the illness is an important part of Fawfuls plan to take over the Mushroom Kingdom. During the end of the game, Dr. Toadley manages to get rid the blorbs, using the Miracle Cure.

-Luisley:

Luisley is the name of a popular ship in the M&L community. It is based on the idea of Luigi and Prince Peasley being in a romantic relationship. The game itself seems to heavily support this idea, as Peasley is often seen paying special attention to Luigi, and Luigi blushing when meeting the prince. This Tumblr post explains it in more detail.

-Gold beanie:

In Superstar Saga and Dream Team you can encounter enemies called Beanies. They're basically just green beans with and evil grin and tiny feet, and they're pretty easy to take down. However there exists a rare golden variant of these enemies, which have a high chance of fleeing every turn. Upon beating one, the playing receives a high amount of experience points as a reward.

-Alphadream filing for bankruptcy:

On October 1st, 2019, Alphadream, primarily known for their work on the Mario and Luigi series, filed for bankruptcy. This was most likely due to high development costs and bad revenue in return. What got the studio into that position in the first place probably were the bad sales of Superstar Saga's remake and Bowser Junior's Journey failing horrendously.

-No PIT remake:

While Superstar Saga and Bowser's Inside Story both received remakes, Partners In Time didn't get to enjoy that treatment. This was most likely due to Inside Story having better sales in comparison and Alphadream wanting to remake the most popular game in the series. However, them skipping the second installment and remaking the third game instead, still seems a bit odd.

-Shroobish:

Shroobish is the language spoken by the Shroobs in Partners In Time. It is written in a different alphabet and is totally indecipherable. The game does translate some words and sentences for the player, most notably the word destroy.

-Beanish and beanies are related species:

This is a popular theory created by fans that isn't mentioned in the game itself. The theory is based on the fact that Beanish and beanies share a lot of similarities, for example wide grins and green skin tone. The theory states that Beanish used to look similar to beanies, but evolved over time into what we know them as today.

Layer 3

-Cover art style change:

Superstar Saga as well as Partners in Time both have very detailed designs for their box art, while from Bowser's Inside Story onward the design is kept much simpler, just having a white background with the characters placed on top of it. It is important to note that the American version of Superstar Saga's remake uses the modern style, while the European version is a direct callback to the original's box art.

-Paper Jam hate:

Paper Jam is easily the least popular game in the series. This is due to the game's lack of original characters and story telling, which makes it stand out negatively when compared to the rest of the series. It had big potential, being a crossover with the Paper Mario series, but barley incorporated any of its elements, ending up as a rather boring M&L title, with Paper Mario as a playable character.

-Carrot minigame:

The carrot minigame is one of the many minigames present in Bowser's Inside Story and it's remake. Due to it's precise touch screen controls it is notoriously frustrating and difficult to beat, especially for younger players, slowly making it gain kind of a meme status amongst the community.

-Cacklebean:

Much like Luisley, Cacklebean is another popular ship in the M&L community, this time pairing Cackletta with Queen Bean. The idea is often backed up by Cackletta seemingly having a lot of knowledge about Beanbean Castle and its secrets, such as the security system surrounding the Beanstar. Queen Bean and the residents of the Beanbean Kingdom also never seem to mention Cackletta in any negative light whatsoever, often just insulting Fawful instead of her.

-Yoko Shimomura:

Yoko Shimomura is a Japanese composer primarily known for her work in video games, including the Mario and Luigi series. She also composed for games such as Super Mario RPG: Legend Of The Seven Starts and Kingdom Hearts.

-Headcanons:

This is a more community focused entry. Fans of the Mario and Luigi series often have a lot of different headcanons, some just adding more depth to certain characters while others change the story in its entirety. Since everyone's headcanons are different, everyone perceives the games differently and every fan stands out in their own unique and special way. Some popular headcanons include Cackletta being Fawfuls adoptive mother, Popple and Fawful being brothers or Peasley being gay.

-SSS difficulty spike:

The original version of Superstar Saga is kind of notorious for having a really weird difficulty spike with the game being pretty easy over all but then suddenly raising the difficulty out of nowhere before having it decrease again. Some examples of this are Wiggler and Trunkle going down in just a few hits while having much harder battles before and after them, Cackletta in Woohoo Hooniversity being a pretty tough challenge for this point of the game all while having the difficulty decrease again seconds later, and of course the final boss being absurdly hard and coming out of nowhere with the game refusing to prepare you for it at all.

-Popple is suffering from memory loss:

When encountering Popple in Dream Team, he does not recognize Mario and luigi at all, despite mentioning how he had trouble with people looking extremely similar back when he was still in the Beanbean Kingdom.

-Geno in the Fungitown arcade:

In Little Fungitown, the player will encounter Geno from Super Mario RPG while playing the Star 'Stache Smash minigame, where he will moderate the game and explain the rules. Geno is absent from the remake due to him not being owned by Nintendo.

Actually.. The Daycare Attendant never came back.

In the story he did go to an employee the next day. But they told him the same thing. “We cant find anything wrong with you, so go back to work”

Sunny knew they were full of crap. So he figured to keep everyone safe.. He would keep the lights on at all times and not leave the Daycare until he could fix himself.

..A few months have gone by now, and he still hasn’t left the safety of the Daycare.

I never really cared for it too much. That’s mostly why I made Sunny/Moony one person in my AU.

Having them be two separate characters sharing one body just got confusing. And I couldn’t see a reason why Fazbear Entertainment would want to have a dual AI animatronic like that.. So I just made him 1 person.

Also aaaaaaa nooooo my Gravity Falls art ehk-- 

My Chica’s eyes are almost identical to her “infected” eyes. The infected eyes are a bright toxic purple while her normal eyes are like a soft purple-ish pink.

If I decide to keep the part where Chica gets crushed by the trash compacter thingy, she will not have been lured in by Monty Mix. She would have been lured in by a pizza.

Because in my AU, its just food in general that Chica wants to eat. And Pizza is the thing she is most consistently recognizes.

I hate it :/

Nothing against Jack Black and Chris Pratt, but I really hate them for the voices of Mario and Bowser. And although I haven’t heard the voices of the other characters, I imagine I’m gonna hate them too.

Kamek’s voice was alright though, and Toads could’ve been worse. But I just couldn't get over Mario and Bowser.

The ONLY way I will be 100% fine with Mario is if they go with the Storyline of Mario being some random guy from Brooklyn or something that got transported into the mushroom kingdom. If they try to sell him as Italian I will be ANGRY

Also there’s nothing you can do to make me like Jack black as Bowser, I just keep hearing Po from Kung fu Panda. When ever Bowser talks he loses all of his intimidation.

Uhg and I bet they’re gonna make Bowser witty and quirky and the awkward comic relief character and whatever instead of the intimidating ruler that he is.

The Plumber and The Painter

Dal's not really much of a painter but I crave alliteration, okay? =w=

Yet another part of the Real Worlder!Dal AU, where he's off on his first real adventure in the Mushroom World!

What lies below is more of a summary of the events rather than a full-blown fic, but chances are it's gonna be long af anyway because I have no self-control. You know this already =w="

After his first experience with the other world seven years ago, Dalex put everything beyond the magic green pipe behind him as a once-in-a-lifetime event. He'd carried on with his life, with all the highs and lows it entailed, including watching over two sweet young souls; a pair of brothers named Tuna and Tuno.

Tuna and Tuno loved it whenever "Dolly" came over; he was like a big brother to them! So much fun to play with, especially when the game of the hour was hide and seek! They had the perfect spot this time; under the kitchen sink! Dolly would never find them there…

…Hey, wait a minute… Was this big green thing always under the sink? To Tuno, it looks scary, but to Tuna, it looks kinda cool! It's gotta be an ever better hiding spot! Without a second thought (because why would three-year-olds think twice?), the brothers crawl into the giant pipe, itching to see what lies on the other side…

Not even five minutes have passed before Dalex is panicking. Where'd the boys go?! The three of them all stay downstairs whenever he's babysitting, and the house is locked up tight! Even if it wasn't, neither of the boys know how to turn doorknobs! KIDS?? WHERE'D YOU GO?!

He damn near ripped the door off the cabinet once he saw a shade of green he never thought he'd see again…

Meanwhile, in the Mushroom Kingdom, Princess Peach is out for a nice, leisurely walk with Toadsworth. It's a lovely day; the sun is shining, the birds are chirping, Toad children are playing without a care in the world. Especially those two kids with blonde hair and unusually long cap!

...Wait, those two aren't Toads!

Peach waves the boys over, and one glance at their round ears is all the proof she needs; they're Real Worlders. And they're far, far too young to be running around here by themselves! But alas, when Toadsworth asks where their parents are, the blonde child proudly says that he and his brother were... being watched by a doll? What?? He knew from experience that kids can say the darndest things, but... it still felt too unsettling for the old Toad's liking.

The blonde child, who introduced himself and his brother as Tuna and Tuno respectively, explained that they were playing hide and seek with their "Dolly" before ending up here. Tuna claimed that "Dolly" always found them, unknowingly hinting to Peach and Toadsworth that "Dolly" may very well be a real person, and would hopefully find their way to the Mushroom World in search of their wards.

In the meantime, these young children would need a place to stay put and safe, and what better place than the castle? Tuna was over the moon; he'd never been inside a real castle before! Tuno was... a little intimidated, to be honest. While the mushroom people and pretty pink princess lady were nice, he missed Dolly. But he didn't wanna spoil Tuna's fun, either, so he grabbed his brother's hand, letting the other take the lead, like always.

The outskirts of Toad Town were filled with the cries of one young teen. Frantically looking left and right, Dal's worries grew with each moment as Tuna and Tuno were nowhere to be seen. Even though his first visit to this world was more than half a decade in the past, some memories never left. One of them being the big carnivorous plants that could pop up at any moment!

Oh cod, what if he's too late? What if the boys already got hurt, or worse?! That's how it goes with kids, you turn your back for one moment and-

"Do... Do my eyes deceive me? Child, is that you?"

That voice... that was another thing that Dalex remembered. He turned around to see a very familiar Magikoopa wearing a very familiar dark pink robe. It was Koukai! Dalex didn't think twice about running over to the older, now slightly shorter turtle and scooping him up in a hug.

"Look at how much you've grown!" Koukai laughed, delighted to see the human once more. "Gotten a bit stronger too, it seems!"

Dalex chuckled. Well, Koukai wasn't wrong, his friend Makani had managed to talk him into joining a few of the kickboxing classes she was taking... But that was a talk for another day. Maybe when the lives of two small children weren't in the slightest hint of danger.

Upon being asked, Koukai sadly confirmed that he not seen any human children at all. There was a chance that a Toad or two had seen them, however! The kingdom as a whole had been rather lively for the last few days, so the kids being spotted was almost a guarantee. And if not, Koukai knew of two particular men that wouldn't hesitate to help Dalex the moment they heard of his plight.

The elder Koopa's words lifted some of the weight crushing Dalex's heart. Right, no need to assume the worst just yet... Maybe, just maybe, everything was alright. With a shaky smile, Dalex followed Koukai into Toad Town, hoping that one of the mushroomy folk held an answer to his search.

Mario wasn't sure what to make of this.

He figured that his and Luigi's weekly visit to the castle would be like any other. Say hi to Princess Peach, chat with Toadsworth, maybe get a slice of cake if one was made, and take care of various odd jobs around town for a few extra coins.

But this time, instead of being greeted by the Princess, Mario came face to face with two small, human children, with Peach and an already exhausted Toadsworth following after them. The Bros.' timing couldn't be more perfect; she was just about to send a Toad to fetch them!

Tuna and Tuno almost felt like tiny copies of Mario and Luigi respectively, as while Tuna was happy to walk up and say hello to the new faces, Tuno shyly hid behind Peach, only waving when Luigi waved first. The red-hatted boy kept a straight face, but Luigi could see right through him: he was confused, scared, and based on Peach and Toadsworth's explanation, in need of a guardian he was actually familiar with.

Whoever this "Dolly" person was, they needed to be found, and fast. And after taking a moment to straighten his cap, Luigi was more than happy to volunteer. Finding the boys' guardian shouldn't take too long, it was sure to be a walk in the park compared to, say, dealing with Bowser.

...In hindsight, Luigi could only wonder if he jinxed it from the thought alone. He hadn't taken more than ten steps outside before the first explosion.

Dalex was wrong, nothing was going to be alright.

It felt like he'd barely blinked before the chaos had started. One minute everything was fine, the next, giant ships had appeared in the sky, seemingly out of nowhere. Koukai didn't hesitate to grab Dal's sleeve and run for cover, grumbling under his breath. Damn it all... of all the days for him to invade again... why today?

Dalex didn't understand. "Him?" Him who? What the hell was going on-?!

Koukai didn't answer either question. Instead, he told Dalex to stay down and cover his ears. Finding his charges was important, but he wouldn't be able to find anyone if he ended up getting crushed by debris.

Dalex could do nothing but obey after that, silently praying that wherever the boys were, they weren't hurt.

Luigi already knew what to expect after the smoke cleared.

Peach had been taken, and Toad Town was destroyed. Again. And to make matters worse, she wasn't the only one kidnapped this time; Tuna and Tuno were snatched alongside the princess!

Mario didn't think twice about chasing after the retreating airship, and Luigi couldn't blame him. Both he and his brother knew that Bowser wouldn't hurt Peach, but those two kids? That was up in the air, and Mario wasn't about to take any chances by taking his time through the Worlds. He waved back to Luigi as he ran, promising to return with all three of them safe and sound.

Luigi was ready to do his part in helping the Toads recover, when a voice called out to him. It was the Magikoopa that lived just outside of town, along with a purple-haired human he didn't recognize. The younger boy immediately asked Luigi if he'd seen two kids, and the latter felt his heart drop. THIS was "Dolly," and he'd just missed his chance to reunite with the kids...

Luigi hated being the bearer of bad news. And while he believed beyond a shadow of a doubt that Mario would keep his promise, just as he always did during Bowser's invasions, seeing the boy's face fall into a mix of terror and despair was sure to haunt him for quite a while.

Upon hearing that someone had already gone after them, Dalex insisted on following. Tuna and Tuno were his responsibility, and he had to get them home safe. Luigi tried his best to sway Dolly- er, Dalex away from the idea; the path to Bowser's Castle only gets more dangerous the further you go, and Dalex was a fifteen-year-old child. Not completely helpless, of course, but who in their right mind would just let a kid go off on their own through Worlds they've never even seen before, let alone head straight for Bowser's Castle???

Both Toadsworth and Koukai made the same suggestion: Have Luigi be Dalex's guide!

Both he and Mario have more experience with the Mushroom World as a whole, and it would be safer than letting the purple lad go alone. And if there's another thing that Toadsworth knew from experience, it's that kids Dalex's age could sometimes have a rebellious streak. And since Dalex wanted to go for the sake of children he clearly cares for, him leaving was inevitable, with or without the adults' permission.

Their logic was sound, and Luigi hated it. He'd only just met the teen, but he didn't want to see Dalex getting hurt... Even Power-Ups felt like too much of a risk, especially ones like the Fire or Ice Flowers. Luigi had his own share of mishaps when he first encountered those plants...

Koukai got a thoughtful look on his face. Avoiding the Power-Ups would still mean that Dalex was left defenseless should he and Luigi ever get separated... Suddenly a lightbulb goes off in his mind. He did know one way to compromise...

Koukai brought Dalex and Luigi to his home, which thankfully survived the initial chaos. After flipping through several books, Koukai finally found what he was looking for: an old tome explaining the history and creation of magic catalysts. With this, Koukai could create a weapon that Dalex would, theoretically, be comfortable using in record time. The only catch was that this type of catalyst creation was of an initally ambiguious sort; No one involved would know what weapon would appear until it showed itself, meaning it could be anything.

It was up to Dalex, of course. Even if he didn't take the offer of a catalyst, Power-Ups were still an option, and Luigi could always teach him how to use those along their journey.

Dalex wasn't sure what to think. His mind was still reeling from everything that had already happened. He just wanted to find the boys and get them home safe. He didn't know what a Fire or Ice Flower was, but if their names were any indication, one wrong move could spell trouble for both him and Luigi. The "catalyst," on the other hand... Koukai did say it could be something Dal could learn to use quickly...

With a deep breath, Dalex nodded. He'll take the catalyst.

Even with all the chaos he'd witnessed in the last two hours, getting a giant paintbrush for a weapon still caught him off guard. He wasn't even really an artist, let alone a painter! He doubted he'd be "comfortable" using this thing as anything other than a blunt object to swing at things...

But hey, at least it wasn't something as deadly as, say, a sword. And if it'll help him save Tuna and Tuno, then Dalex will take what he can get!

The World beyond looked peaceful. As though Bowser never flew by just a few hours ago.

But Luigi knew better. Looks can be deceiving, even in the Mushroom World. And if Dalex was going to make it out there, he'd need Luigi's guidance.

In truth, Dalex would probably be much safer at Mario's side. But his brother had already run ahead, and it would take time for the duo to catch up to him. Luigi glanced down at the younger boy's face, which was filled with apprehension. Underneath, however, was hints of determination. It reminded Luigi of himself, in a way. He'd pushed through his fear many times before in order to do what's right, whether it's capturing a ton of ghosts or battling a dragon turtle and his forces.

He pat Dalex's shoulder, giving the boy a smile and a nod, much like Mario. That's... what Luigi was doing this time, wasn't it? This must've been how Mario felt when he reassured Luigi before an adventure...

When Dalex gave a nervous yet grateful smile in return, Luigi swore to himself to not let this child down.

One way or another, he'll make sure everyone's saved.

Do you have any favorite Mario Party mini games?

Yes, of course!!!!!!!! There are many very very very very very good minigames… every game has a lot of good ones! And some bad ones. But there are the best of the best of the best!! Let me share. In no particular order.

1. Hexagon Heat from Mario Party 2, aka Mushroom Mix-Up from Mario Party 1, also featured in Mario Party: The Top 100 and Mario Party Superstars. This game is the best of all time!! 4 players stand on a group of differently-colored hexagons, with a toad who stands on his own platform occasionally raising colored flags. You’ve gotta get to the right colored platform in time before the rest of em sink!! The game speeds up over time to make it tougher, and also, you can stomp and jump on other players (I actually don’t like that part) to slow em down. In Mushroom Mix-Up you are on mushroom platforms sinking into the water but in Hexagon Heat you’re on metal platforms over lava. This is the only difference, but I think it’s interesting how this and a number of other Mario Party 1 minigames got retooled for Mario Party 2! The games play the same but all have a slightly changed visual aesthetic. I believe Hexagon Heat is the version featured in Top 100 but Mushroom Mix-Up is the version featured in Superstars. Weird, huh!

2. Booksquirm from Party 4! Also featured in The Top 100 and I’m pretty sure in Superstars. Four players stand on a book’s pages, with the pages from above slowly descending on top of them! Your goal is to quickly determine where the holes in the falling page are and run to those spots to slip through! Just like the hit game show “Hole in the Wall.” But with a book. It’s fun!! The page falling speeds up as time goes on and there’s a high score to keep track of it. If you ever wanna see something magical, look up a TAS of this game heheh… they manage to get to 100 pages, I think!

3. Toad in the Box from Mario Party 2!! I dunno why I like this one so much, but it’s cute. Each player stands beneath a spinning block with several faces, 3 enemies and a toad. When you hit a toad, your platform goes up one notch, and I think you need 4 notches to win. However! If you miss the toad, and hit an enemy, it gets ya, and you’re briefly stunned. The block spinning speeds up with each notch!! So u gotta time carefully, but by the last notch it’s spinning too fast to do anything but jump and hope! It’s a little luck-based in that way, but I don’t mind.

4. Shy Guy Says!! Another minigame featured in Mario Party 1 and 2, as well as the Top 100 and Superstars!! Depending on the version, either the 4 players are out in barrels attached by ropes to a pirate ship (I like this version heheh) or they’re held up by balloons! A shy guy pirate on the ship or a shy guy archer on a cloud will give one of two commands- “A” or “B”- indicating which flag to raise! You have to raise the right flag or he’ll cut ya off or shoot ya down. Careful though!!!!! He can be tricky, raise a flag briefly to fake you out or what not. Last person standing wins!

5. Look Away, from Mario Party 2, and also on Top 100 and Superstars!! It’s a 1 vs 3 game where the top player looks in any one of the 4 cardinal directions or head-on, and then the 3 players have a split second to look in a different direction! If they look in the same direction, they’re out. The 1 player wins if they get all 3 players out before 5 rounds are up, while the 3 win if they survive. I like the funky music they play. Also, the losing players on the 3 team can still play along and pick a direction to look and if they look the same way again they become smaller dhdjdnd.

6. Bobsled Run from Mario Party 1, 2, Top 100 and Superstars. A 2 vs 2 race in a bobsled along an ice track, where you have to push the sled to the starting line and then cooperate to lean the sled to hit boosts and avoid falling off!! Simple but fun.

7. Speed Hockey! I’m gonna. Stop saying all the games they’re from now dbdjdbd but it originated in MP2. A 2 vs 2 game that’s basically just like pong! It’s hockey but you can only move up and down along a track on a little platform.

8. Day at the Races from Mario Party 2!! Interestingly it never appeared again I don’t think. Each player gets to pick one from among 4 racers: a boo, a bob-omb, a thwomp, and a womp. Each racer has a different movement method or special ability, but none outclass the others entirely. You pick in order from last to first, then watch the race play out, betting on your chosen racer! It’s totally random, but it’s cute and fun to watch! There’s a similar game in Mario Party 5 called Random Ride that’s also a battle game but features each player picking a ship to fly with different names, but the ships in that game actually do have rates of how often they win, so it’s more weighted and I don’t like that as much. Plus there’s more than 4, it just picks 4 from the pool. Having the same 4 each time is a little better.

9. Quick Draw Corks, from Mario Party 2! A simple duel minigame where you wait for the shy guy to tell you what button to press to fire your cork gun!! Whoever shoots fastest wins. Heheh. Similar minigames appear in other Mario Party games as well, like Shy Guy Showdown in Mario Party 5.

10. M.P.I.Q. from Mario Party 3! Again, I think this one never reappears. It’s just a simple quiz minigame asking about Mario Party… which means I’m really good at it heheheh. The way it works is that the question appears on screen slowly, and you can buzz in anytime you think you know what it’s asking, but if you’re wrong you have to sit out the next round. It can be cheesed if other players wanna be rude but it’s fun!

11. Tick Tock Hop from Mario Party 3! Simple duel minigame where two players stand on the hour hand of a clock trying to jump over the minute hand. The hand will randomly change direction and speed, and the hand you’re standing on will eventually start to move too!! It keeps a record as you go, so it can get real intense between two skilled players. Burn style from Mario Party 6 is similar, but it’s a 2 vs 2 instead of a duel.

12. Pushy Penguins from Mario Party 5! A hoard of silly penguins, big and small, charge the players, and you gotta weave and squeeze through em to avoid getting pushed off! Last player standing on the iceberg wins.

13. Leaf Leap from Mario Party 5! All 4 players are trying to climb a beanstalk as high as they can. Leaves will appear above you one at a time and you’ve gotta jump to each one! You can jump to the left or right or straight up from whichever side you’re on. If you miss a jump you’ll end up falling to the last leaf that was in that column, so if you mess up at a bad time you can fall really far. If you’re quick, you can climb all the way up into space!! This game keeps records too, so I always try and break em. What I also like is that records are marked by an orange leaf! It’s my color!! And it looks nice.

14. What Goes Up from Mario Party 6!! It’s like Leaf Leap but you’re actually on a high cloud trying to make your way down to the ground as fast as possible, and you have to avoid landing on Paratroopas who act as platforms. You’re also not picking and jumping, just trying to navigate your fall. So it’s not actually like Leaf Leap at all, but it is in my brain.

15. Same is Lame from Mario Party 6! You have to pick a button to press each round from among “A,” “B,” “X,” “Y,” and I think “Z.” Or maybe not Z. Anyway, if you pick the same as anyone else, neither player gets to advance. If only you picked your choice, you go up a layer! Whoever wins I think 3 rounds first wins. It’s fun! I like little mind guessing games like that. It’s kinda like Look Away!

16. Control Schtick from Mario Party 6! The screen will tell you which direction to point your two signs via tilting each control stick on the GameCube controller, and you’ve gotta match that within a short timeframe! I don’t think it’s ever been featured again cuz the 3DS doesn’t have dual analog sticks and I don’t remember Superstars featuring it. Oh well.

17. Track & Yield from Mario Party 7! The players run against a conveyer belt trying to jump over those uh… track sign thingies? The ones you gotta jump over in track. Um. I dunno. Anyways!! Regular ones just push you back but electric ones shock you and usually for long enough that the belt can carry you away. Last player standing wins!

18. Deck Hands from Mario Party 7! A battle game where players pick a random numbered card from a deck in 3 rounds and whoever has the highest total at the end wins. The player with the lowest score picks first each round too.

19. The Final Countdown from MP7! Players stand on a grid of numbers which gradually count down. Whenever a square hits 0 it’ll open to a pitfall. Players try to run around and not end up on any square when it hits 0. But you can also punch and kick and push people into other squares to try and get them to fall!! It’s devious!

20. Jump, Man from MP7. It’s a single-player DK minigame where you race Donkey Kong along a short DK-inspired obstacle course to try and get to the end first! If you beat him, you get the reward he’s playing you for based on what you rolled on the board.

21. Sick and Twisted from Mario Party 8! Players all race along a course of spinning platforms while avoiding bullet bills and try to make it to the end of the course! Anyone who finishes can win, I think.

22. Cardiators from MP8!! This is a really cool one. A duel game where two players in an arena are given a set bar of health and pick random cards from a table. Each one has a different Mario enemy on it, and will take varying amounts of health from the enemy, including some that do no damage. Whoever’s HP hits 0 first wins!! It’s like yugioh kinda!!!

23. Trash Landing from Mario Party DS. It can be a duel or 4-player minigame. Each player picks a rope and rides along it. You have to land on whatever object the rope takes you to, but the objects all have varying sizes and thus room for error, randomly decided. So it’s not entirely luck based, but luck plays a part! It’s fun and nifty.

24. Dust Buddies from Mario Party DS!! Players are running from a vacuum cleaner and have to jump over and dodge out of the way of various household objects acting as obstacles. If you get to the end you win!

25. Soap Surfers from DS is a fun game where you try and knock your opponents out of the sink while riding on bars of soap!!

26. Camera Shy from DS! Each player has a camera and is lost in a hedge maze. You have to find and photograph all 3 of your opponents without getting pictured yourself! The map won’t show you where anyone is unless they’re being taken in a photo.

27. Stretch Run from Island Tour! It’s like curling, but with carts! Or is it shuffleboard? Or something else entirely, maybe, I dunno. I’m not an athlete. Anyway! Each player tries to gauge the distance to launch their cart to get to the edge of a dock without falling off! The closer you are to the edge, the more points you get. But obviously you don’t get any points if you fall off. There are three rounds, so you try to adjust for each round!

28. Pachinko Wizard from Island Tour. It’s another luck-based game but I love the name and aesthetic and tension. You pick one of four pachinko… what’s the term… like, landing areas? And then a Lakitu tosses a Spiny down the board. Whatever section it lands in, that player is eliminated. After 1 player loses it goes to 3, then 2, until one player has outlasted the others and won!

29. Blown Hover from Island Tour. It’s a quick game where you race on a hoverboard trying to jump over or duck under panels that will fold out in your way, but they only do it as you get close so you have to react fast! Some panels can be jumped or ducked over, some can be avoided by changing lanes and some can be avoided by doing nothing- some can even be avoided in multiple ways, but the deadliest are the ones you can only avoid one way. If you get hit, you aren’t out, but you lose speed and have to build it back up, which can be fatal! Whoever gets to the end first wins!!!

30. Slip Not from Island Tour. It’s a race where all 4 players are sliding on a thin ice bridge. As you go along, the bridge gets thinner and thinner and harder to stay on, made worse by the need to use tilt controls heheh. Almost nobody makes it to the end of the course, but what matters is being the last person to slip off the track as it gets thinner! It’s a fun one and I had a blast as a smaller tiger trying to reach the fabled end of the track… never did manage it though, sadly.

Whew!!!! That’s all the faves from the ones I’ve played, so excluding 9, 10, Star Rush, Super Mario Party, and Mario Party Advance. If you’re wondering why this ask took me so long to get around to, it’s cuz I don’t front much and this was a loooot to write for such a lazy catboy heheheheh.

Princess Peach, The Royal Druid

Princess Peach in D&D would make for a good NPC. That would be leaving well enough alone. But Peach has been a playable character in a number of games, so I think it's only fair that she gets to be a potential player.

There's...actually a LOT better builds for Princess Peach if you wanted to capture a specific feel for Peach. Hell, if you REALLY wanna go in this direction, you should go the route Tulok the Barbarian went in his own Peach video. Won't lie, saw it a year ago and felt a bit deflated since part of what he did was what I wanted to do and had abandoned this since I didn't wanna be called a copycat.

But, eh, screw that. We just ended up coming to a similar conclusion, even if for different reasons. No shame in that. D&D is 90% inspiration anyway! Heck, this dumb 'Super Mario Campaign Setting' project is just playing stuffing Mario tropes and conventions into D&D.

So, since we built Mario and Luigi into D&D, it only makes sense we make a Playable Peach!

So, the reason Princess Peach is being built as a Druid is to go in line with what we've got for the setting if you followed the link up there; our Peach is the ruler of the Shiitake Hills, a series of hills covered in mushrooms as far as the eye can see.

And since canonically, Peach is served by mushroom creatures, naturally, I'm implying she's a Circle of Spore Druid. Being the latest of a long line of Spore Druids.

...And boom. I don't think I really need a big explanation for this. At least, I personally have no reason to put more options on the table. Peach hangs around the Toads, which in canon are Mushroom people, so her D&D Counterpart, ergo her class.

Peach, in this setting, would be a Lawful Good Elf. Probably a High Elf, the first born daughter of the Royal Druids. As such, it is her duty to learn the Druid Arts and carry on the tradition. Personally, I'd play it that the previous Queen and King was slain by the main villain of the campaign when she was young, leaving her to be raised by her Halfling Attendant and being taught the arts for the council of Druids who serve as the Queen's advisors when she becomes of age. There, clean cut, and gives someone who can run the kingdom while Peach is away, but doesn't take away her level of authority. All in a nice, pink bow.

Though, if you wanna multiclass, or perhaps wanna go for a 'Peachette' build, as the Princess' younger sister who goes on adventures instead since 'Peach' herself is too valuable, then here's a few suggestions.

01. Cleric

This is the one I originally would've gone with if not for my Shiitake Setting. Peach IS a healer in Super Mario RPG, so I think it makes sense for her to be a Cleric. I'd think Life Domain, which for our Shiitake Hills setting, would be either Avus or Mater (or Eldstar and Mama of the Star Spirits, lol).

02. Sorcerer

So Peach definitely has some kind of magical power. I don't think Peach is the 'ditzy blonde' type, but I don't think Peach is cracking open old tomes and learning witchcraft. Ergo, she's probably a Sorcerer, being born with her magical powers.

I'd think Divine Soul, but could you IMAGINE if she was of Draconic Bloodline? That'd be so scandalous~ And could be an interesting plot line...

03. Bard

Peach is charismatic. She's cute, she's eloquent; people like Peach. You'd be hard pressed to find people who don't like her.

Well, except this guy.

But yeah, for the most part, everyone wants Peach! I'd imagine College of Glamour. Though, you could play her up as a ditz as a cover for a College of Lore or Whispers. Just a fun little idea for RPing.

04. Warlock?!?!?!

Yeah, this is more of a fun one, but this is based on that one time Peach got possessed by the Shadow Queen in Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door.

I don't know, I just think this is more of a funny possibility. Cause there's so many different ways to play this one. Do you wanna go full Goth, Bad-Bitch Princess? Or how about someone trying to hide the sinister nature of their powers? Is she cursed? Maybe cursed during the adventure and so it's mechanically supported by getting those Warlock powers? Or did she make a deal with this evil entity? Does she have a bubbly outer shell, hiding a more sinister personality?

Well, I think that's everything I wanted to talk about!

Dreams

I’ve always had the strangest dreams both irl, and when I sleep. I once played so much “Viva Piñata: Party Animals” that when I was dreaming I was still if 3rd person camera. As if I was still laying it and not asleep, that's not the strangest part though. I had to run the course in game as this character until I won. However the moment I won I was transported to this weird water park where 90% of this room was filled w water, and in the water were ofc sharks that would attack me if I stayed in the water for too long. In this part of my dream i had to build up enough speed while going down this massive water slide so that when I shot out of the tub it would shoot me through a hole in the wall opposite said tube. i wish I could say that was the end of it but it just keeps going; once I was through the hole I landed on top this super steep hill that I had to ride this bike, it looked almost exactly like my mountain bike I had as a kid, it was freaky. In order to move to the next area in my dream I had to ride the bike down this steep hill and jump the trench that was bellow me. Sounds easy enough right? Guess again, I had died about 3-4 times dealing w the sharks, but I died 6 times trying to land this bike. either by not getting enough speed and landing in the trench or by getting too much speed and eating ass on the landing. Call bullshit if you like about me dying in my sleep seeing as I’m still alive and all those dumb stories we all heard as kids, but it was really like dying. It was as if i had it the reset button in a game after watching myself die. It was a strange moment in “time”. Anyways, continuing on to the last part of my dream. After finally landing the bike I noticed that I landed in some weird mushroom village. Thinking about it the best way to describe it was a 3D version of a toad village from Mario Bros mixed w a Smurf village. All the buildings and plants, streams etc, were small as if they were made for Smurfs but it had the colors and art style from Mario. I spent what felt like 2 days in this village. I think one time i even fell asleep under a mushroom. But to get out of this place I had to get access to this book that was in on of the mushroom houses. i spent “hours” at this point bc for the life of me I couldn’t figure out how to make the mushroom grow so that i could get inside. This book was essentially a way to travel to and from the “real” world and the world from my dream. It was kinda like the scale/rock from Drago Tales or Hermaeus Mora’s black books. In the end I found this watering can on a shelf near the stream. I used that to water the mushroom house and within seconds it was 3 times its size and I was able to leave and wake up finally.

To this day this is by far one of the weirder dreams I’ve had, its just the tip of the ice berg though. But as far as my crazy real life dreams go? I wanna be a sex and relationship therapist and a streamer, so that’ll be an interesting combo

So there was a rare magical pipe that lead to this place called the Mushroom Kingdom. But they was not safe. So my mom and my dad went to a strange dark castle. They had to keep me safe. And the next day, a large door open. It was a koopa, name Bowser. So Bowser picked up the egg, and said he’ll take care of me. (I was still an egg) Extra: My koopaling form isn't related to the koopalings, I got adopted by Bowser. Because I had no family that’ll take care of me. Also, Bowser never potty train me, So I still wear diapers. Bowser didn't know how to do it. So I walk around in diapers. Also, the koopalings are Extra Information About Me: Ever since I was a young toad, a pink yoshi with red and white shoes also female who is always after me trying to eat me. She been after me since we was kids. Until a light blue yoshi with green and purple hair saved me from the pink yoshi. Her name is Micole, she rescue me from a pink yoshi name Gum. Who’s been trying to eat me for the past bunch of years. And she is still after me trying to eat me. Micole always kept me protect. Either though I have my own stuff to save me. Micole was always there for me. So when we was in school. Pre k all the way to 8th grade we’ve been friends. But in Highschool. For Yoshi and toads only. Starting with 9th grade. We started to hook up. Or dating each other. We may not had the same class together as a couple. But we always see each other at the end of the day and set together on the bus sometimes, we even held hands on the bus. We couldn't stop blushing *giggles* We was just too happy together. Her sister Nicole always supported us. She always walked me to class everyday when we was in school. She even held my hand. I knew we was gonna be together. We are very happy to be with each other. She also told me she was transgender. Which I didn’t mind. I love Micole just the way she is. We even grated together. And went to prom together. We both are very happy to be together. Also there is a koopa name Arrio who is after me all the time. He had a crush on me. He dislikes Micole alot because she took me from him. I rather be with Micole. We love each other very much. I love to play in the snow in both of my forms. I love cute animals. I also like to go boom boom in my diaper. I don’t have a pet, I do want a pet like a hamster. Because they are so cute. I love to go swimming and hang out with my friends. Toadette,King Boo, And Shy Guy. And sometimes I like my diapers to be warm and fuzzy. I love when they get all big and puffy. I also love to watch funny videos on Toadtube. I sometimes vores my friends in my toad form and I sometimes eat Micole. Hehe she likes that kind of thing. In my koopaling form I like to sit in my nice and messy diaper. My favorite step siblings is Iggy and Lemmy. I'm kinda step twins with Lemmy a bit. And I don’t wanna get potty trained. I also fly unlike my other step siblings. They can’t fly unless they have airships. I can fly with my strong angel wings. Also in both of my forms, I have a male version. His name is Coe, he is like me in my female form that likes diapers. In my toad form, I have a twin sister name Colette. Colette also likes to wear diapers, I got her into that. Hehe she is very welcome, She also loves it alot. She love the squishiness just like me. She have Pink hair. She also have a secret life like me, She is secretly in a relationship with Collette. She have a star on the side of her face in both forms. She doesn't want me to know about her secret life, just like me. More Information: I am always the main one who get eating all the time, I get eaten by every single yoshi that I come across. They just love the taste of a rare toad who wear diapers. Tendou – Safe Haven

So, B over at @guessmonsta had a rough day and in efforts to draw up her spirits I present a slightly melancholy but overall silly piece featuring her fave boy: Tendou Satori. Hope you feel better B!

“Tendou, you’re Princess Peach, get your ass over here!” shouts Semi.

“Oh you are so going down, pretty boy,” Tendou exclaims hopping over the back of the second, or possibly third, hand couch in his dorm. He lands heavily next to Semi, his former teammate sending him a glare.

“Says the one currently playing a character sporting pink,” retorts the blonde.

“Tch, for your information, pink happens to be my favorite color! Plus, Peach is a badass! Make no mistake, she will fuck you up on the track,” Tendou quips, selecting the motorcycle as his choice for race vehicle.

Semi, Reon and Goshi all make their own selections, they being Mario, Bowser and Toad respectively.

“Heh, did you choose Toad to match the aesthetic of your hair cut?” Tendou asks.

“Screw you fire head, let’s just get to racing so I can wipe the track with your ass,” Goshiki shoots back.

Tendou laughs as the timer counts down to zero, each of their representative characters jumping off the starting line with the press of the green button. The race is fierce and filled with flying shells, mushroom speed bursts and loud curses from all participants.

“So where’s Toshi?” Tendou asks through a hiss as Peach barely dodges an oil slick.

“Couldn’t make it, practice,” Reon answers shortly, thumbs moving with practiced ease sending Bowser into a perfect drift.

“Shit, can’t that guy ever get a break?”

“You know him Tendou, it’s all volleyball, all the time. Especially after last year,” Semi comments, cursing a second later when he gets hit with yet another red shell from Toad. “How the fuck are you getting so many of those?!”

“They’re pity shells cause he’s in last place,” Tendou smirks.

“Oh yeah? Pity this!” Goshiki yells, launching a blue shell which takes out both Peach and by proximity Bowser, leaving just Mario as the last obstacle to his glory. There’s no way the others can catch up now and with one last screech around a bend, Toad emerges victorious with a perfectly timed mushroom boost.

“Damn it!” Semi shouts, throwing down the controller.

“Hey! Careful with those, I got this second hand you know,” Tendou complains taking a sip of soda.

A knock at the door draws all their attention, Tendou standing to open it since they’re in his dorm. “Probably the pizza guy,” he calls over his shoulder, unnecessary considering they’re in a single room together. When he opens it, it’s to find a rather cute, but annoyed looking girl standing in the hall. “Definitely not the pizza guy,” he comments lowly.

“What? You know what, never mind, I don’t care,” she snips. Fixing fierce eyes on him she goes on, “Do you think it possible for you to keep it down? There are some in this hall trying to actually get work done around here.”

Tendou leans against the threshold, crossing his arms. Smiling he replies, “Working is for classrooms and libraries, where else are we supposed to unwind?”

“The bar? A club? Hell, go back to your parents’ basement for all I care, just keep the noise down!”

Tendou’s smile widens; he likes her snark. “One, we’re under age still so no bars. Two, do we,” he points behind him to the guys now watching the proceedings, “look like the clubbing type to you? I think not. And three, as long as we’re throwing around stereotypes here, why don’t you take your self-centered, eldest child, type A personality and chill the fuck out? We just got out of high school, time to live a little before we hook on the ball and chains of responsible society, don’t you think?’

As he’s been talking, her cheeks have been growing steadily redder and redder with each point he nails on the head. Tendou likes a good battle of wits and insults and this little lady had no idea whose door she was pounding on when she attempted to exert a guilt trip.  Her mouth opens to retort, only for the pizza guy to finally arrive.

“Order for Tendou Satori?” he asks looking between them.

“That’s me! Oi, you lot of losers! Gimme your penance,” he says, hand out to receive money from Semi and Reon after which he draws the remaining balance from his own wallet. Handing the guy the money, along with a small tip because he’s not a complete asshole, Tendou passes the two pizzas to Semi who takes them to his desk. Looking back at the girl still fuming outside his door he grins.

“I’d offer for you to join us but since you’re a no-nonsense type, I’m sure it will be a waste of breath. Have a good night.” He’s about to shut the door when her hand slams against it startling him. “You’re a dick,” she glowers. There’s a pause and he can’t wait to see what comes next. Taking a deep breath, she looks up into his eyes. “But you’re also right.” Tendou’s so stunned he almost falls over. With less hostility and a slightly shakier tone she goes on, “I…I’d really like that…if you’re serious.”

He blinks, unsure what exactly just happened but steps to the side, silently offering her entrance. A moment later, he’s introduced all of them, including himself properly, before they settle to consume their meal of cheese, carbs and grease.

“Being an adult, or at least transitioning into one, sucks,” she comments around a bite of pizza.

“Amen to that,” Reon replies toasting his slice with hers.

“So, what’re you studying?” Semi asks politely.

“Chemistry, it’s a bitch.”

“Shit, you must be a genius or something. I’m barely making it through my general ED, still tryin’ figure out what I wanna do,” Goshiki remarks.

“Hey! No gloom and doom talk here, guys! This is our time to shut out the rest of the world and just have fun! To forget our problems and worries,” Tendou proclaims. Deftly he slides the controller into their new companion’s hands, a twinkle of mischief in his eyes.

“You gotta earn your keep sweetheart, that pizza doesn’t pay for itself you know.”

Leaning forward, she bops his nose. “Bring it on, pretty boy.”

Semi laughs uproariously at the look on Tendou’s face as his cheeks heat up but the red head recovers quickly, sliding next to her with a controller of his own. The race is intense, but she emerges victorious, whooping and hollering about her win.

“Hey, you might wanna keep it down, I hear there’s a warden about these halls,” Tendou teases.

“Then we’ll just tell them to go fuck themselves. It’s our time to be young and alive, right?”

He grins, shoving his shoulder into hers. “You got it, warden.”

“Shut up and race, pretty boy.”

And for the rest of the night into the wee hours of the morning, Tendou, Semi, Reon and Goshiki provide what she never knew she needed. A safe haven away from the responsibilities and expectations piled on her till she can’t breathe. They let her laugh and curse and belch without judgement. They tease and mock her, treating her quickly like one of their own.

But most of all, they allow her to just be a “kid”.

Peach: Welcome back to Game Corner Central. Let’s begin our interviews. First up, the leader of the Phantom Thieves, Joker.

Joker: Thank you, Your Highness.

Tails: So, Joker, what sports would you take up in the Olympics?

Joker: Well, at first guess it would have to be shooting. Particularly in pistol. But I’m thinking of giving other sports a try. Like cycling, especially BMX. Also, a trip to Hawaii got me into surfing. And let’s not leave out weightlifting and wrestling. And let’s not forget swimming, baseball, and golf. I’d also like to try out the decathlon. And recently, I got into skateboarding.

Sonic: So basically, you wanna try out for all of them.

Joker: Not really. I know I’m not that good at basketball, unlike Oracle. And for personal reasons...

We’re staying out of volleyball.

Tails: Well, it’s not surprise. Someone at your school was arrested and his sport is volleyball. He was your also your very first target.

Joker: I know. But don’t think we hate the sport. Heck, some of us are still going for it, but that’s another interview with another thief.

Peach: I see. You know, most of us already good with other sports in the Olympics. I’m sure you and your friends might be good.

Mario: That’sa true. Just look at me. I’m good with all sports.

Joker: That’s cool. I guess I could try all those sports as well.

Mario: And I hope we would face off again soon. Whether it be in Smash Bros. or in the Olympics.

I’ll look forward to it.

Sonic: (smiling) Same here. You’re actually quite fast... But not as fast as me.

Peach: Alright, on to the next thief. Next up is the muscles of the group, Skull.

All right! My turn is up!

Sonic: Now from what I’ve heard, you used to be quite the runner.

Skull: You bet. I used to be a member of my school’s track team. So I guess when it comes to the Olympics, track ‘n field would be my first choice. But I’d really like to try other stuff.

Peach: And that’s what we would like to know. What would you do at the Olympics other than track?

Skull: I really like to try shotgun shootin’. I also like to do sailin’, karate, and field hockey. Like Joker, I'm also interested in baseball. And maybe basketball. There’s also hammer throwin’, discus throwin’, swimmin’, water polo, table tennis, and skateboardin’. I’m even thinkin’ of givin’ fencin’ a try.

Tails: That’s a lot. And what about soccer? With your legs already somewhat strong, you look like you might be good at it.

Skull: Actually, I never thought of that. All right, I’ll give it a try.

Tails: And about skateboarding, I guess we can try that together. Right, Sonic?

Sonic: Well, it’s a little different than Extreme Gear Racing, but it’s just as good.

I’ve heard of Extreme Gear. I wish I could try that.

Sonic: (smiling) Maybe someday you will.

Skull: I was never really good a skateboardin’ at first. I have a board, but I don’t think I ever used it. It’s just sittin’ next to my shelf. But when I saw Joker skateboardin’ and a friend of mine made somethin’ similar to Gear, I thought I’d give it another try. He helped me, of course, and now I’m actually good at it.

Sonic: Then I’ll look forward to having a session with you... Not that you have a chance knowing my speed.

We’ll see about that. Yer on.

Peach: So, Panther, what sports in the Olympics would you like to take part in?

Panther: Well, me and my friend used to play a lot of tennis back in middle school, so I guess there’s that. But I was told I might have a knack for other things. Like equestrian jumping, mountain biking, taekwondo, baseball, trampoline gymnastics, fencing, and boxing. Noir’s also got me into badminton.

Tails: That’s sound great. I also heard that your friend not only does tennis and volleyball, she’s also part of her school’s Stride Club. Have you ever thought of giving it a try?

Panther: I don’t know. I was already told why most girls don’t do Stride.

Peach: I know that. My friend, Princess Daisy, also knows the sport and has seen what happens when girls participate.

I know. I’m surprised my friend wanted to join. I guess she wanted to prove how strong she is.

Peach: But she’s proven that true, hasn’t she?

She has. I’m glad for that.

Peach: I’m sure. Thank you, Panther. Now, on to you, Fox.

Tails: Before we begin, I love that you’re based on a fox.

Fox: I’m sure you do.

Tails: So Fox, what sports would you like to do in the Olympics?

Fox: Well, I’m not usually the sporty type, but I guess I would love to give archery a try. I would also like to try equestrian sports. As well, there’s artistic swimming, diving, the hurdles, the javelin, the high jump, boxing, fencing, kata in karate, judo, shooting, and table tennis.

Mario: That’sa lot. I thought you set you weren’t the sporty type.

Fox: It never hurts to try things that are considered out of character. I might even try wrestling.

I like the sound of that.

I know you would.

Peach: How romantic.

Mario: (a little unhappy) Reminds me of the Moon.

Peach: So, Queen, what sport would you be good at in the Olympics? I was told you were quite the martial artist. Maybe karate or judo? Maybe even taekwondo?

Queen: Technically, I trained in aikido. But I think wrestling might be good for me. I might also like to try road cycling. There’s also relay racing, the high jump, marathon racing, pole vaulting, canoeing, rowing, rugby seven, the triathlon, soccer, shooting, and something Noir introduced me to, badminton. I’m also ging to give volleyball a chance.

Mario: Another balance type. Well, if you were in the Olympics for real, we wish you buona fortuna.

Who said I might not be in it?

Tails: Guess that’s a question for another time. Now moving on to my favorite Phantom Thief, Oracle.

I’m your favorite? Thanks, Tails, I’m happy to hear that from a fellow tech head.

Tails: You’re welcome. So, what sport are you interested in the Olympics? We were told you like basketball.

Oracle: I mostly do singles, but I think I can give teams a try. I’m also into handball, golf, trampoline, table tennis, archery, and boxing.

Tails: That sounds like quite the lineup. Though, you could try some team sports as well.

Oracle: Like what?

Peach: Well, there’s relay swimming, relay racing, I also recommend softball and rowing.

Oracle: I’ll think about it. And isn’t handball already a team sport?

Peach: I never thought of that.

Not many people do.

Noir: Well, I do a lot with my hands. Especially gardening.

Peach: So do I. I’ve heard so much about it.

Me, too. We should all see it sometime.

Tails: You’ll be glad you did. It’s really beautiful. Now, on to Crow.

Thank you. I’ll try to be as honest as I can.

Tails: I’m sure you will. So, Crow, what sport in the Olympics would you do?

Mario: (a little worried) Why do I feel worried hearing you say shooting?

It’s a long story.

Crow: Well, it’s not uncommon for a detective to be good at some sport. A colleague of mine, Shinichi Kudo, does both soccer and shooting.

Tails: That’s true. He learned those things as part of his detective training.

Sonic: Don’t tell me it’s the same for you.

You never know. That might be true.

Mario: That’sa little vague. Well, we’ll have time to think about it during the break.

If you got to know, I’d think any sport that requires cat-like reflexes. Maybe artistic gymnastics? I even want to try fencing and skateboarding. There’s even climbing, hurdles, wrestling, soccer, rugby sevens, and boxing.

Tails: Those do sound like they require cat-like reflexes. But it looks like you can also try swimming.

Mona: (a little hesitant) I’d rather give that a little more thought before trying.

Peach: I see. Still, you also look like you’d be good at karate and judo.

Mona: Yeah, I get that a lot. But yeah, I think I can give those a try, too. They tell me I have potential.

Sonic: Look like it. You might even give Eggman Nega a run for his money.

Mona: (getting ideas) A Phantom Thief of Justice going up against a villain from the future? I like that.

Sonic: (looking a bit grim) Why did I just say that? This is going to get crazy.

Peach: Anyway, now we’re on to out last thief of this edition. Before we begin, thank you again for saying I’m your favorite character.

Violet: You’re welcome.

Peach: So, what sport in the Olympics would you like to do. I was actually told that you are great in rhythmic gymnastics.

Violet: You win that bet. I think I also like to go for fencing and shooting. I also like tennis, badminton, baseball, high jump, judo, equestrian dressage,  and a bit of table tennis.

Peach: Those sound like nice sports. Actually, I do a lot of horseback riding in past Olympics myself.

Violet: Really? I know I played the game, I didn’t know you actually did it.

Peach: I do, sometimes. Actually, if we can, we can ride together.

Violet: Thank you. But I think that may have to wait until February.

Tails: You mean the release of Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers.

Violet: That’s right. Me and Crow are not in it, so I think we can go.

Sonic: I wonder why you and Crow aren’t in it.

Violet: ... It’s complicated. I’m sure the other admin will think of something.

Peach: Well, it appears that is all the time we have. So before we wrap this up, any last words?
