Got a weird one, but hear me out:

if you were to draw yourself as a dragon, what would you look like?

Oooh i love that question oAo

I grew up with Ernest Drake's draconology manual so i gave quite some thought about what dragon i would love to raise but never what i'd be like as a dragon oAo

I guess I wouldn't have any feathers, because they'd be more fragile than scales and i don't trust my clumsy self not to hurt myself or something xD so I guess it'd be scales all the way !! I'd still have a few scars of my dumb ass endeavors though.

I also guess i wouldn't be a massive dragon but i wouldn't be too small either. I'd be a little on the tall side (which is my height) and I'd have a spike at the end of my tail so i can draw with it on the sand ! =D

As for colors, for some reason the first color that came to mind was a vivid, bright blue- i guess this is linked to the fact that i really clung to the idea that blue was my favorite color as a kid (even when it wasn't sometimes) because kid logic, and because the color just brings back good childhood memories with my sis. It still is one of my faves now. I'll let kid me have that one. 💙

Hey Liz! We do indeed like the requests (and you)! I've already added quite a few to the pile a while ago so this is just a bit of encouragement. I'm happy you're making progress and excited for any new updates <3 please keep writing I'll literally draw some of your boys to show you my appreciation for this little blog later

Does anyone following me have that post with the guy talking to the girl and she goes "this is amazing!" and he responds with "you only think that because you're an amateur", to which she's like "won't most of your readers be amateurs?" Then he's just like "OAO You're right!" and it's a total light bulb moment?

I'll be honest, total inspiration point for me and I don't know how to find it again.

Because I'm not a fantastic artist. There are flaws in my writing...

But there could be people who'd still enjoy the stories I want to tell anyway. Who would still like the way it looks or the characters the stories follow.

If I wait to hit whatever the crap benchmark it is I've set for myself before I start... I'll never start.

Eichiro Oda did not start out a great artist. However, he's one of the biggest manga creators in Japan and inspired a number of other creators. His art has also come so very far since he started in 1998! One of my favorite creators, Yuusei Matsui, may have been fantastic at grotesque surrealism, but not great at the human form had a successful debut series (even if Viz refuses to release the manga to the American audience!!!), an incredibly successful follow-up, and is already into his third series. He's gotten much better at drawing humans as time has gone on.
