A lot of traditional Chinese art work on him to connect to the large Chinese culture and history in California

Cactus + sugar skull connects to the large Mexican culture and history in California

Sun sword is literally to the quote about how it's always sunny in California but also power, authority, protection, and divinity

Plants all around him are based on his national parks (and plants are pretty!)

Ants and bee because they are known for hard work and building up even during hard times which I feel like fits California and the people
