Konoha 12 Domestic/Spousal Headcanons
Tumblr media
Tags/Warnings: No Reader Pronouns, Boruto Doesn't Exist, No Mentions of Children/Adoption
Completed versions of these headcanons will be linked on the character's name.
𓆃 Choji
THE BEST COOK ON THIS LIST NO ONE CAN COMPARE
Loves bonding over cooking and baking— whatever you like! If there's anything you're ever craving, Choji is taking to the kitchen to make you a gourmet meal as good as any professional chef!
Prime rib, lamb, tartare, croissants, macarons, soups! It doesn't matter your allergies or preferences, Choji can and will make you any food your heart desires.
Offers excellent cuddles. 11/10 squishy and soft.
Is very understanding, a fantastic listener, and naturally positive.
Never lets the romance l die, and after a hard day at work, will feed you ice cream while you rant about your day.
𓆃 Hinata
Traditional wife who has always wanted to be a traditional wife since she was a kid.
Content with cooking, doing laundry, and other domestic work.
Although, because of the society and the way she was brought up, she might feel insecure transitioning out of shinobi life.
While being made to feel weak isn't something Hinata is a stranger to, she is sensitive to comments from others about her domestic life.
Be sure to give her lot of reassurance and validate her work around the house.
𓆃 Ino
Also wanted to be a wife growing up, but the stay-at-home life is clearly not for her.
She'll try it for a period of time after your wedding or union, but she's far too restless for cooking and cleaning.
You supposed that she thought it would be relaxing and aesthetic, but if anything, she's getting frustrated and throwing the potato across the kitchen as soon as it slips out of her hand.
Ino will eventually find important work to do, come home to complain about it over dinner, and buy you something nice in a half-brag about how much more money she's making.
This is, of course, not to say she's bad at housework or doesn't do her share. She's perfectly good at domestic work and does the bulk of it, but the moment you expect it from her is the moment she stops.
𓆃 Kiba
A slob who, if allowed, will live in heaps of trash.
For the bulk of his 20s, he'll be super unsure of the whole settling down thing. You could make a whole bingo chart out of the cliche bachelor lines he spouts.
I'm not really a marriage kinda guy. I don't wanna tie myself down to a ball and chain. I just wanna meet people. I'm looking for someone who doesn't take themselves too seriously. Nah, I'm not looking for a relationship.
That is... until one day he wakes up and desperately wants a family of his own. To an extreme extent. Like his expectations are absolutely insane.
As a husband, you'll need to reevaluate those and have a nice long chat because at the beginning of your relationship he will certainly not be pulling his weight.
𓆃 Lee
Sweet, clingy, loving and sincere man.
Ah, you are the sun, the moon, and the world to Lee. He is constantly thinking of or doing the sweetest possible thing he possibly could for you at any given hour of the day.
Is his execution great? You'd give it a 50/50. Does he ever take a break? NO.
Whether it's breakfast in bed or going on a grocery run to get it off your plate, you're sure to have to put out one fire and learn how to use 20 carrots in your meal prep for the week.
He really tries his best, he just gets a little excited.
𓆃 Naruto
Another slob, although well intended.
Naruto never had a formal family growing up, and so he has little ideas of what's expected.
Much of his idea of what a partnership should be comes from media or stupid things that Shikamaru probably told him on the playground growing up, so you'll have to work together as a team to set expectations.
A lot of what he does for you is in his language (you have to learn that him making you both ramen cups is indeed a romantic gesture for him), but he loves exploring things that you like!
Naruto explores your likes and hobbies in a very genuine and non-performative way. Sharing things you enjoy together will be the foundation of your relationship.
𓆃 Neji
You'll spend your first year of marriage focused heavily on strict boundaries, expectations, and other couples work.
The way Neji was brought up completely fractured his sense of family. Not to mention, no matter what you're like Neji will certainly have to fight with his family in a silent battle over clan politics.
Because even though the Hyuga clan has stopped certain practices, doesn't mean that everyone in the clan is in mutual agreement or share similar attitudes with each other.
This will be a marriage built on structure and meaningful confrontation. Neji is determined to break the cycles of his family to make a healthy life with you.
𓆃 Sakura
Wasn't sure if she'd end up with a partner. She really wanted it, but with everything that happened in her life, she had her doubts.
Most definitely too hard on herself. Sakura pushes herself to almost fall over you to ensure you're pleased. Whether it's housework or cooking, there's a part of her that feels the need to prove her work ethic.
It's the small things with Sakura. Even after a long day at work, she'll still bring you your favorite home for dinner, even if the place is out of the way. She'll stay up an hour later to spend time with you even if she has an early morning.
𓆃 Sasuke
An ironic mix between Naruto and Sakura.
As a kid, Sasuke 100% wanted to be a husband when he grew up. 100% wanted to have a spouse to provide for and had similar dreams that some kids often do when they think about families.
But after the Uchiha Tragedy, much of Sasuke's outlook about his future has been skewed. Any relationship will start off as rather unstable and you can almost count on Sasuke being emotionally distant
It's about how the two of you work through his baggage and his willingness to be vulnerable.
𓆃 Shikamaru
Surprisingly well-adjusted?
He knows how to do basic life skills. Pulls his weight and sometimes even does your tasks. Shikamaru is generally clean and organized.
Where's the problem? He's terrified of commitment.
Most of the relationships in the Nara clan seem to consist of passive Nara men with verbose spouses who have no issue bossing their partners around.
But at the same time, Shikamaru doesn't mind this dynamic. He wants to laze, but he's also almost seemingly afraid of dynamics that allow him to laze.
He'll be just fine around the house, just a bit dramatic if you ever ask him to do anything. He'll get over it.
𓆃 Shino
Great husband and great family to marry into.
Just overall very balanced, if not quiet. The Aburame clan is close, but respectful of each other. You'll never have to deal with nagging in-laws because Shibi has already taken you in as one of his own.
Enjoy fresh meals of produce expertly tended to from the garden.
While Shino has his more talkative side when it comes to people he's close to, he's still quiet by nature. Don't expect that to change just because you've gotten married.
The obvious con is the massive amount of insects that will constantly be around you. You're not allowed to trap them or kill them.
You will have to get used to bugs crawling on you.
𓆃 Tenten
You're always doing something crazy.
You don't think any of the other Konoha 12 ever expected that Tenten would have the most exciting marriage, but look at her now.
You're always innovating, making new things for her business, and taking spontaneous trips to check out crafting techniques.
Anything and everything you set your mind to, you support each other in. There are ten million projects scattered around your home.
You roll up to get-togethers (when they seldom happen), being the most traveled and bringing the most unique gifts.
No one knows what you're going to be up to next.
Thank you to all who liked, reblogged, followed, and supported. Your support means so much and is greatly appreciated.
Notes: I apparently had a lot more opinions on all of these characters than I expected. When I make multi-character posts, I like to keep each section sort of short, so if you are interested in more in-depth hcs, tap the underlined name or visit my blog for more.
Sakura, Lee, Choji, Tenten and Sasuke are done at the current moment.

Hello! I saw you were taking F/O requests, and I saw BATIM was on your fandom list, which makes me soooo happy so. Uh, I’ve never asked for a headcanon request before but uh, could you do married life Headcanons with Sammy and an Agender s/o ;w;??? This would be pre game if that’s okay???
I’m gonna admit, here... I’m so sorry this took so long. If I realized this was a “married life HC” request sooner, I legit would’ve gotten on it faster, LMAO. I’m such a sucker for domestic fluff...
Sorry for the wait, I hope you enjoy!!!
Tumblr media
Honestly, he’s just amazed you’ve stuck with him long enough to get engaged, much less married! Working as a musician for Joey Drew Studios ain’t exactly a luxurious life, you know that...?
Still... You accepted his proposal and still support him, so that’s that.
Wow, he loves you, though.
If you don’t work at Joey Drew Studios with him, expect to know the place like the back of your hand, anyways. If it’s not because he forgot lunch, it’s because he’s complaining about his workplace again.
Busted pipes, broken instruments in need of repairs, episodes being made faster than Sammy can conduct music for them... He’s being driven mad by the maddest of men himself, he swears.
You also get to witness him losing his mind in real time to Bendy. “That smile... It gets to ya, after awhile. Wonder what he’s so smug about? It’s driving me crazy, dear.”
You’ve tried to get him to quit. The sad thing is, he’s a stubborn one and won’t leave the studio unless Joey fires him first.“Where else am I gonna make my music? Not on the streets, dear, that’s for sure. Man of my class... We don’t play on the streets. I’ll make it by all right, you’ll see.”
...His stubbornness worries you.
Still, it’s nice. When the work days are more forgiving, it’s not uncommon for Sammy to be a well of inspiration, chatting your ear off about tunes he wants to write or playing a piece on whatever’s home... Usually most of his equipment at the studio, stored in another room in your home.
It’s not uncommon for him to make songs at home, all the way to dinnertime...and only leaving for the call of food.
Though if you do work at the Studios with him... It’s interesting for everyone. Sammy’s a crabby, snarky man who can only take so much before he’s venting into a tape deck...but around you? Sweet as can be.
If you ever ask him about it, he admits it’s because the Studio wears on him. Lotsa dunces around the place, if you catch his drift. No respect for the art of music! His patience has been tested, love...
It’s why he relaxes with you around, though; you understand him, his love for music, give him space when he asks for it, and are also kinda married to him. So you’re already better than the other coworkers he slogs to work with every day.
The only downside, overall, is the fact it’s the late 1920s~1930s and people wanna tack a gender on you. Wife? Husband? It bothers you, but not as much as it bothers Sammy.
It’s really not a big deal to him, how you see and present yourself. Unless you’re okay with your birth gender’s pronouns (in which he’s still a prickly pear, but more manageable), he’s hopping mad at anyone who gets on your case like that.
Not only do you have to ask him to calm down, but it makes him more motivated to work and channel his energy into music. Not the best sort of outlet, but talking is for after work... Breaks are too short for a thing like this.
Depending on what you do for the studio, Sammy will do his best to support you in turn. Working for Joey Drew ain’t rainbows and wildflowers, so he’ll see what he can do to cheer you up in such a hellhole.
Woe be to you if you provide any voices... He will try to write music you can sing to. Often a background singer to the main trio (especially to Alice Angel), but Sammy will try to build you a metaphorical stage all your own, built on your voice and his music.
If you’re an artist, you’re just gonna help him out, really. What’s the next episode about? He can finish up the episodes already submitted to him while preparing for the next round you’re still working on with the rest of the team.
Though back at home... Sammy’s not the best cook, but isn’t beyond helping out in the kitchen, on occasion. It’s just uncommon for him to do so. He likes helping you out the best, whether with breakfast or dinner, but some days he’s more tired than others. You can still kick him into gear if you want- he’ll happily help chop some vegetables or look over the cooking meat- but if you don’t... Expect him to either retreat into the music room of your home or pass out for a nap on his favorite recliner.
You’d only hear this if you visited/worked at the studio, but as it turns out... Sammy’s secretly a braggart of your marriage...!! He told anyone who’d listen that you said yes, what the wedding was like, how happy he is... He’s a lot more subtle with you, but basically everyone at Joey Drew Studios knows how sane you keep their resident musician.
Tell him you overheard that and watch him blush with embarrassment. It’s adorable and he tries to pardon himself, but hey, don’t let him! It’s so cute he’s that excited about your married life!! What a sweetheart he is!!!
Giggle as he blushes more under the storm of saccharine comments, rubbing his cheek and trying to push down a smile.

The ship i choose will always be HH, and because I'm a greedy ho, let's go for 17, 28, 31, 35, 38 and 42
17. What would make them break up? Would it be permanent?
I can see only two things tearing Jack and Brock apart: broken trust (cheating) and ending things because they believe their causing more harm than good. In the first case I see them staying apart for a long time but, after several years of pining for each other but both unwilling to bridge the gap they meet by chance and all those old feelings come spilling out. They take it slow at first, the one who was cheated on is afraid of being hurt again even though the cheater won’t ever do it again.
For the second case, I don’t see the break up actually going through. Jack will probably explain things plainly: “As long as we’re together there will always be a target on you. I couldn’t live with myself if something happened to you. We need to end this.” Brock will look him dead in the face and refuse with the simple reasoning of “I can’t live without you.”
Soooo no, I don’t see them actually breaking up for good lol. They’re definitely a ride or die couple and my OTP.
28. What are their vacations like?
Their vacations are a compromise mostly. Jack always wants to go somewhere quiet in the country and Brock wants to visit a city with a beach nearby. Jack always gives in for the sake of Brock’s happiness (and their sparse vacation time) but when it comes to the actual vacation Jack is always the one making the agenda and he makes sure there’s a day where he can rest and recharge somewhere quietly with Brock. While they may argue a bit on destinations they both always have a good time and get what they’re looking for out of it.
31. Do they finish each other’s sentences? Pick up any phrases or habits from each other? Know when the other is hiding something?
Brock finishes Jack’s sentences all the time. He’s not as talkative around others but Brock knows him so well they can have nonverbal conversations. Jack definitely will pick up little phrases from Brock, much to his annoyance, and Brock will poke fun at him for it. Jack always knows immediately when Brock is hiding something. It takes Brock a little longer to notice when Jack is hiding something (typically bad news or an injury) but he always picks up on it eventually.
35. Do they bring out the best in each other? Or the worst? Do they have a fatal flaw?
They bring out the best in each other but their best doesn’t always line up with everyone else’s. When they’re on your side, you thank God for them and when they’re not, well... Brock and Jack both want to do the right thing but if one is swayed the other is easily convinced to follow in most instances so it’s both a flaw and a perk of their relationship. Their fatal flaw would be how combustible they are together. They feed into each other’s drive like fire and gasoline and they will burn until there’s nothing left but destruction in their wake if it comes to it.
38. What are they like in the bedroom? Any kinks/fetishes/turn-ons? Anything they won’t do?
Oof okay. Smut warning, obviously. They are both very active in the bedroom (and out of it). While they enjoy time together platonically they both prefer to get down and nasty. Jack most definitely has voyeuristic tendencies thanks to their busy schedules and the how little alone time they actually get. So handjobs in the hangar and covert blowjobs are their bread and butter. I like to think Brock has a bit of a kink for slight degradation (Jack calling him ‘Princess’ and chastising him for being greedy).
They both have competence kinks. Seeing each other in the field often leads to them hiding away and heavy petting. Brock’s favorite pastime is getting Jack hard in public because hiding his erection is *cough cough* a lot of work. Jack’s favorite pastime is getting Brock to cum in his pants right before a meeting just to watch him squirm while addressing his team.
I think they’d be down to try anything once, nothing is exactly out of line for them. Brock is definitely the ‘let’s try this’ one in the relationship. Jack is very supportive of all new ideas *wink wink*.
42. Do they let each other get away with things that would normally bother them?
Yes and no. They hold each other accountable for screw ups, but they’re often so tough on themselves that there’s no reason for the other to get involved. Brock, as Commander, still will lecture Jack if need because despite their personal relationship, he doesn’t permit anything but excellence. Jack is the same exact way. If he feels Brock is making a bad choice, he won’t hesitate to call him out.
In their personal life, Brock permits things he wouldn’t typically: Jack drinking straight out of the carton, Jack throwing dirty clothes by the hamper instead of near it — but he has a limit. Brock will passive aggressively call him out on it.
Jack is also more forgiving with Brock’s domestic short comings: never filling the dishwasher, leaving wet towels all over the floor, cluttering the sink with all of his hair and face products — but it will push his buttons eventually and he’ll grumpily do it himself, complaining loudly the whole time.
@kalika999 I’m sorry this is so late but I hope you enjoy it lovely! ❤️
