i don’t think marc’s struggles with qualifying rn is a marc on a ducati thing, but rather a marc on gp23 issue. zarco struggled in time attack last year on the machine, a one lap wonder jorge martin only post catalan gp has been able to start taking poles and consistently qualifying on the front row, otherwise the start of the year his grid positions was like 5th or 10th, gp23 absolutely destroyed both bastianini, who qualifies actually pretty well on the latest version of the bike, even though everybody talks about how he isn’t the best qualifier, and bez, who can’t get the bike to turn. yes, marc has done somethings like pressing the wrong button (lol grandpa) and other mistakes, however, him and his crew chief have been more focused on the race pace setups and also lack any sort of data on marc on any given track, so when they arrive to the new place, compared to some other ducatis, they are at a disadvantage. so, i think he’ll be blindingly quick next year, like, i wish he was washed, it’d be more entertaining, but he is just not budging 😭 however, pecco might ask for something in the development of the next bike to introduce gremlins that only he can really conquer (it seems like only he immediately gelled with gp23, no problem), but i don’t think he is smart enough to figure out how to hamstring marc!!!

wellllll I don't doubt there's specific characteristics of the gp23 that can make it tricky to handle, but I'm not entirely sure you can definitively call it a poor bike on a single lap. pecco's grid positions from the start of last year wouldn't really suggest that. jorge's results in general were a lot shakier in the first half of 2023 than the second, though you're right he did also have some qualifying gremlins. zarco's kinda been having issues with qualifying throughout his ducati career (mind u he used to be lethal on the yamaha) and bastianini... I mean he was just bad overall, we're talking average grid of 12.6 vs average finish of 10.15, and his whole gimmick is being a poor qualifier but having late race pace. idk, I don't necessarily think it's going to be a lingering problem, but I do think it is an issue (and I'm aware marc was just being an idiot today, but two other gp23's did outperform him on their first flying laps which was historically quite rare). I do know they're at a disadvantage on a track-to-track level! I just think it's interesting it's more of a qualifying issue, because that isn't actually guaranteed, and 'well we were just focusing more race pace' doesn't quite do it for me as an explanation. again, I think he'll be fine, I just think it's a problem right now and I'm curious whether he'll ever get back to quite some of the ridiculous quali numbers he was posting in some of his prime years (the other reason why this is less likely is that the margins have gotten slimmer since then)

that being said! pecco wouldn't and couldn't be doing that kind of 10d bike development chess. first of all while you can obviously attempt to develop a bike more to your own liking than your teammate's liking, if you start attempting to deliberately introduce gremlins you will just like. be fucking yourself over. secondly ducati aren't idiots and pecco doesn't have that kind of internal sway to engage in this kind of gamesmanship when it's clearly not in the team's advantage. also while he is the 'lead rider', my sense of that dynamic has always been it was more about training up a rider to ride that bike than having a bike be developed in line with a rider's style. in general I reckon pecco will try to just keep to himself, not get involved in any of this kind of thing with marc, just focus on what he's doing. I imagine that's broadly the advice he's been receiving from his mentor too. all this drama and bike development silliness is really marc's wheelhouse, not pecco's, the less attention pecco pays to marc during their teammate stint the better. far from easy, but that's got to be the goal

JOJO’S BIZARRE ADVENTURE

Okay so, when I first watched part 4, I literally was during my exam session, I had a high fever that lasted about 2 weeks, I was mega stressed and I literally binged 100 episodes of JoJo in less than 5 days, and compared to the first 3 parts, DIU seemed to me like such a goddamn easy going and chill troll part, after so much angst from before.

But hear me out - 

After I re-watched it again, as I wrote my Josuke story, I realised that - He’s actually such an adorable and charming boy and I judged him too harshly because of the chill plot and weird art-style.

As soon as I read your description, Josuke came into my mind, and I think he’d be perfect for you! ( Also, I think you mentioned not reading the manga, so I didn’t want to spoil, so I didn’t think of anyone from parts 6-8 <3 )

So, now that I got that out of the question, let me tell you this-

This boy is very vocal about how he’s only interested in meeting the love of his life, so he doesn’t care what you look like, he only cares what’s on the inside, he cares about your heart, about your kindness, about your sense of humour, and I’m pretty sure there’s nobody more affectionate in such a cute and innocent way like he is!

He’s already a gamer, so he’d love to play games with you, not even having to get competitive, just super chill and fun, and while at it, he’d love to cuddle with you and eat snacks in bed, covered by a blanket, while watching some anime or movie/tv series that you like, and when you’re done binging, he’s going to chat SO much with you about it, about his opinions, about characters, developments, choices, cliffhangers and so on.

Josuke is the type to shower you with compliments and kisses all over the face, whether you need reassurance about your looks or not, he is just that loving and feels the need to both show and tell you how much he cares about you.

He has an amazing sense of humour and he’s prone to laughing easily, so if you like someone funny and goofy, who’s also a pranksters and can get mischievous, you’ve got your guy - And he may or may not ask you to film him while he pranks Rohan or something.

In modern times, I think he’d be a viner or something, because he’d love to watch funny things on the internet with you, but he’s also friends with Okuyasu and Koichi, and he has Rohan hating him, so in such a little town like Morioh, you bet this 1-Braincell Trio would get internet-famous with their silly shenanigans.

Josuke is extremely patient and understanding, especially since he has his anger-issues problem regarding hair insults, and would appreciate you being by his side and supporting him, he would turn that back at you tenfold, as he needs to show you how much he treasures you, and no behaviour switch is going to keep him from loving and caring about you.

He may seem like a smug bastard and a casanova jerk, but in all actuality, he fails at being a womanizer, and ends up being a goofy fool who makes you laugh with his antics, which, in a way, is definitely a win for him, even if his flirting attempts failed.

Jacob, in modern times, would definitely be the kind of guy to binge-watch TV series, like Peaky Blinders for example, but if you’d like to watch some anime with him, I bet he’d like Gangsta - Like, I can’t not imagine him trying to be as smooth as Worick, but failing badly.

I think he’d be a lot into fighting games, like Street Fighters or Mortal Kombat, and may be prone to getting a tiiiiiny winy bit competitive, but he has no ill-intention, he’s just silly and whiney. 

If he loses, he’d whine, pout, and throw his arms around you, telling you that the game is dumb or rigged, but if he wins, he’s gonna boast and do a little victory dance, then kiss you and tell you you’re the lucky Queen of a badass Gamer King.

Even if he won 1 out of 100.

You bet he’s gonna be the first to film himself when he gets into fights with the Blighters, kissing you after every win...And of course, wanting you to patch him up, but hey, he’s internet famous now, and you can laugh about him whenever you see him!

Despite not showing his love and caring in traditional ways, it’s obvious that he cherishes you dearly, and would make sure to give you his hat if it rains, his coat if it’s cold, would put the blanket over you if you fell asleep without it, would get you in bed, if you fell asleep on the couch, would make sure that you ate, that you slept enough, and overall, taking care of yourself, ‘cause if you don’t, even if he’s a huge baby, he’ll take care of you, whether you like it or not.

Jacob is one of the chillest people in the world, so if he loves you, he loves you, and got used to any little quirk that you might have, no matter what it is, or if it bothers you, or think that it bothers him - He’d be quick to reassure you and tell you that no, you’re not bothering him, he doesn’t need to have patience with you, ‘cause there’s nothing wrong with you, and he loves you no matter what.

Zoro is not one to fall for you quicklyand not one to immediately express his feelings when he does begin to developfeelings for you, this means the two of you will have to be friends first or atleast be rather familiar with each other first whether it’s by growing up together,being friends, crewmates, or even rivals, he will need to spend a fair amountof time with you before he does fall for you.

 Even when he does, he’s unlikelyto ask you out and more or less a relationship develops without needing him toask you out or verbally establishing that the two of you are in a relationship,the both of you will just kind of know and it develops on it’s own, which overtime will also be pretty clear to others. 

It’s your differences that pique hisinterest in you but your similarities that help the two of you get closer andlet’s the two of you learn more about each other. You are quite optimistic andlook on the bright side of things while Zoro is far more realistic and cautiouseven to the point of seeming negative, even in some of the most positivesituations he tends to expect and plan for the worst case which makes him veryobservant. 

Especially with you he is quite watchful wanting to keep you safebut he can also tell when something is wrong with you, if you’ve had a roughday or if you seem sad, depressed or upset. Though he often times will not immediatelyask you what’s wrong or try to press you to talk about it, kind of trustingthat if it’s serious or something is really on your mind you will come to himand want to talk without him having to press you into it. 

He can be verypatient and surprisingly understanding towards your feelings and because ofthat he’s a great listener and will not pressure you to open up to him or talkto him but he does make it pretty clear that he is always there for you if youneed him or want to get something off your chest and just vent. He may notalways offer the best or most practical advice but he does try and he is comfortingin both a physical and verbal way, at the same time he won’t baby you or showyou a lot of sympathy he’ll focus more on helping you get over the problem andmove on rather than dwell on something that’s upset you or hurt you. 

He’s veryencouraging and supportive towards dreams and goals you have whether they aresmall or large goals like getting in better shape, writing a book, traveling,learning languages or even more grand dreams. You can be very honest and bluntand so is Zoro though you know when to act politely while Zoro can come acrossas far more rude no matter the situation. 

You do have a quick temper butdespite this you would rather talk things out calmly when there are problems,though Zoro also can be rather quick tempered and depending on the situation orwhat the problem is it can be harder for him to be calm and talk things outpeacefully, he can raise his voice and argue if he’s annoyed especially if youare snippy towards him but generally he can calm down pretty quick and talkthings out. 

He will show a curiosity towards your interests and hobbies andwill like spending time with you, which you tend to be a night owl and so is heboth of you stay up rather late and you don’t even feel as though you need muchsleep anyways, while Zoro tends to nap randomly throughout the day. When hesees you doing things like reading or writing he will show an interest in whatyou are reading or writing, though usually it’s a rather casual interest but ifyou don’t want to talk about it, he won’t pester you. 

Zoro really isn’t one togush over you or shower you with attention, affection or praise especially in frontof others but when the two of you are alone, he can be very loving and caringtowards you, even complimenting and praising you when he’s proud of you or you’veaccomplished something. He’s not really interested in PDA but doesn’t flat outrefuse affection from you unless you’re going over board, though he can getembarrassed by affectionate acts or verbal affection quite easily especially infront of others. 

If he does get embarrassed, he’s likely to walk away or stopyou from being affectionate with him, otherwise he often doesn’t really mindfor you to be casually affectionate with him in public, leaning against him,hugging him, even holding his hand or holding or hugging on his arm, even if he’sbecoming a little embarrassed, he can tolerate it. Of course, he doesn’t mind onebit when the two of you are alone and will instigate cuddles or affectionateacts with little to no hesitation. 

Once he falls for you he genuinely caresabout you and your well being and will do whatever it takes to keep you safeand wants you to be happy and achieve your dreams, this makes him very helpfuland considerate towards you.

■He’s not clingy and doesn’t really get jealous either though he does worryabout your safety and can become rather stern or bossy if he doesn’t trustsomeone or a situation, or if he thinks you are in danger and he won’t want tohear any objections which can occasionally make him seem controlling.

■You do like traveling and so does he so he will like going different placeswith you, however, he does have a terrible sense of direction and can easilyget you both lost if you allow him to lead the way, making it far safer for youto be the one navigating and choosing where to go.

■Zoro tends to be very patient and doesn’t get bored very easily in facthe can be quite content laying around all day, which makes him rather easy toplease as well. He doesn’t need to be doing anything special with you and willenjoy just being near you or relaxing all day, or simply playing games or goingfor walks.

■When he is being affectionate and loving with you he tends to hug you frombehind resting his chin on your shoulder or the top of your head depending onhow tall you are, he also develops a habit of picking you up whether it’slifting you a little when he hugs you or actually picking you up and carryingyou over his shoulder or bridal style.

■He does get very use to spending time with you and being around you ingeneral which means he won’t like when the two of you are apart, mostly becausehe worries about your safety just in case something were to happen, but also,he gets use to your company and will miss not having you around.

■You like taking care of people when you care about them which Zoro can berather stubborn and independent and may not always seem open to receiving helpfrom you depending on the situation, and other times he has no problems withyou helping him or taking care of him at all, it can heavily depend on thesituation.

◐ Kunikida is very level headed, considerateand loving towards you though he is not openly loving or affectionate towardsyou when the two of you are in public because he doesn’t particularly care forPDA, though he often times won’t flat out refuse it if you initiate somethinglike holding hands he won’t mind unless he’s in a particularly bad mood. ◐ Ranpo has no real problems with PDAthough he isn’t a big fan of being around a lot of people or busy or crowdedareas, and often times would rather just stay home and just spend time withjust you. He is rather prone to getting jealous and even over some of thesimplest things because he likes having your attention and praise and can getjealous if you show a lot of attention or praise someone else. He can alsobecome quite clingy at times particularly when he’s bored or feeling lazy, hecan be very cuddly and adores being affectionate with you. But at the same time,he does have a serious side and can be blunt and even painfully honest with youor anyone, being completely honest with his thoughts and opinions.
