When i think about Jiang Sect and their main family like a business, I get this very vivid "treat each other like family" or "you're part of the family" relationship with Wei Wuxian has to the main family. I truly understand how precarious his status becomes in the Jiang sect becomes. Like an indentured servitude contract that continues gaining debt interest solely to keep you there indefinitely
#mdzs#wei wuxian#mikh talks#i think about the one side story about the dead servant and the young master#I've worked in employment situations like that maybe not to the severe extent as wwx but i can empathize#and sympathize with the balancing act he maintains#but since trying to recontextualize the jiang family and sects into easier to understand terms for me#it truly does emphasize the classism and wwx status as a servant in the book#since then i havent really been able to look at it the same way nor certain fanon interpretations#i dont really have 1:1 ideas since getting into this genre so always seeing these meta posts makes me appreciate the book more#i wanna finish the audio drama and reading it some time
