It was extremely rare for Lena to get a Friday night off, since that’s when her radio show, The Horror Show, aired. Combin that with the idiotic curfew that the oppressors that were the American government infringed on this Island full of victims, and she was always deprived of the whole Friday night fun thing. Saturday night, too. She did what partying she could every other day of the week. But, she’d had last night off and celebrated her ass off. She had partied like it was 1985 and she was at a White Snake concert.  The come down was absolutely brutal.
It was passed lunch time, headed towards dinner real fast, and Lena had managed to shove on sunglasses and stumble out of her apartment in the search of food.  Flitwick's was the only viable option, other than the occasional pizza and fried chicken, Lena didn’t really eat anywhere else. She’d flung herself into a chair, and pointed at the menu with a grunt. The waitresses were used to her by now and knew exactly what she wanted.
Not even bothering to lift her head from the table until her food arrived, Lena put off her best “don’t talk to me” vibes. Unfortunately, the place was pretty busy, it being Saturday afternoon and all. It didn’t take long for the only available seat to be the one directly in front of her. Creepy Carl was eyeing the seat in front of her like he was already imagining his exposed buttcrack cozying up to it. She could not deal with his shit right now, so she points to the first normal looking person she sees.
“Hey! Sit. Eat. It’s been ages!” Lena’s voice, raspy with sleep and her hangover cut through the crowd, giving the stranger no question to whom she was speaking.
Her attention is caught by the arrival of a massive stack of pancakes, not caring if the person in question sat down or not so long as Carl didn’t, she pushes her sunglasses back up on her nose and starts drizzling an alarming amount of maple syrup over her pancakes.
