So...

...we all know that the Eggperial City is gonna bite the heroes back in the ass in like 20 issues from now on, right? Cuz, like, everytime the heroes get a victory in the IDW universe, the results of said victory come back to bite them in the ass when they have to face a new threat. Neo Metal Sonic defeated? Boom, now Eggman's back and he caused the zombie apocalypse. Starline gets fired during the Metal Virus ordeal? He starts working on "creating" Surge and Kit. Sonic, Tails, Amy, Tangle and Belle have a visit in a testing tower of Eggman's? The results from the test tower got used to create Eggperial City. Where did Shadow teleport them fake Emeralds to anyways?

Also Silver being understandably pissed off at the mention of "no use" made my day, and for a second I thought that little "souvenir" Rouge stole from Eggman was a totem of the Ancients

My brain is also crafting a theory in that we'll see what Belle was doing during this arc in another annual but that's neither here nor there

listen listen listen I'm a mutishipper, right? With Sonic alone I dig Sonamy, Sonknux, Sonadow, Sonaze, and Sonic x Chilidog because idk how this man manages to be so bi and ace at the same time. But you get what I mean right? I enjoy it all - look at all this fandom content I get to experience. So cool. But then I get to Whispangle And it's just... literally I cannot, physically I just CAN'T bring myself to ship those two with anyone BUT each other. To ship them with anyone else feels like a betrayal - like you fundamentally misunderstand them as characters. They are so just- intertwined that it feels so wrong to break them apart. With Sonamy, Sonelise, Sonally like - if you ship Sonic in a relationship that isn't pushed by canon then sure, that's so cool - no stipulatuons, love that. But with Whispangle - nah dude. They gay af. They are the apples of each other's eyes and just - THEM. IT'S THEM. I LIKE THEM.
