Lei: “Ciao, buongiorno…
sono ancora a letto, stropicciata, spettinata
e mi sto strofinando nel cuscino...”
Lui: “… Mi piace.
Tumblr media
Abbassa le mutandine,
ma senza toglierle del tutto
e adesso strofinati tra le lenzuola,
come fossero le Mie mani che ti accarezzano
TUTTO il corpo.”
Tumblr media
Lei: “Mmmhhh...”
Lui: “GIRATI! A pancia in giù e sfilale del tutto.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Lei: “Il solo leggerti mi rende così tanto eccitata…
HO VOGLIA.”
Lui: “Adesso, senza cambiare posizione,
infilati un dito dentro…
infilane uno solo e stringilo, stringilo forte e poi…
Tumblr media
rilascia i muscoli lentamente.
MI SENTIRAI PER TUTTO IL GIORNO, DENTRO.”

Autistic D/deaf people who sign, I would love to hear your experiences with eye contact and facial expression while using a sign language (with or without comparison to a spoken language).
I understand that sharing your experience may use energy and/or time you would prefer to spend on other things and so I'm not expecting anything from anyone. I'm not entitled to your time and stories and would be extremely grateful if anyone was happy to share.
I am a hearing autistic person who just completed an intensive introductory course for Auslan, and I had a really interesting experience. I found I was able to make consistent eye contact and that facial expressions were much easier for me to use and understand, when both of those things are very difficult for me when using a spoken language (primarily English for me).
Our course material highlighted the importance of non-manual features, such as eye gaze and facial expression, in sign languages but didn't really have the scope to go into how this might differ (or be similar!) in autistic signers when compared to allistic ones.
I hope to continue learning Auslan by attending Deaf events and perhaps taking a longer, more comprehensive course so that I can communicate and support the Deaf community where I live.

Sign Language in the Human Imperium
Losing one's voice and/or hearing due to injuries is fairly common in the Human Imperium. A lucky survivor might be able to acquire bionic hearing augments or synthetic vocal chords. But the vast majority have to make do with Imperial Sign Language.
There are three major branches of ISL: Standard, Militarum, and Ministorum.
Standard ISL is taught in workplaces where hearing loss is a common risk. It also allows supervisors to issue directions to workers while allowing workers to efficiently report to their superiors. It is also used by Adeptus Administratum clerks to convey data to each other quietly from across distances.
Militarum ISL is used within the Imperial Guard to quickly communicate tactically vital information. A standardized lexicon is taught to medium and high quality infantry units while low quality penal legions are "spared" such training. Given the risk of the enemy deciphering standard communications, and the sheer variety of enemies that the Imperial Guard face, IG companies wind up developing their own unique dialect.
Ministorum ISL is typically used to convey sermons by those who have made vows of silence or to congregations which are mostly deaf. It uses grand sweeping gestures derived from and used in sacred rituals. The Sisters of Battle use a simplified version of the language that resembles the type used by Imperial Guard.

I'm also unsure: should i learn Indian Sign Language or ASL? i would prefer indian because idk home country i'll probably vibe better with it but asl is kinda standard or smth i suppose? idk how different one sign language is from another sign language.

I need some signs that differ only in the facial expression you use when you sign them (for example, the American Sign Language (ASL) signs for “sick,” “disappointed,” and “hilarious.”)
Any ASL examples would be awesome, but if you happen to have British Sign Language (BSL) or Irish Sign Language (ISL) examples, that would be amazing as well.
