NIRF 2019 ranking

The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) has declared the India Rankings 2019 today, on April 8 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.The President of India, Ram Nath Kovind has declared the rankings. IIT Madras tops the list in Overall category in NIRF India Rankings 2019. The NIRF India Ranking is done on the basis of teaching, learning and resources, research and professional practices, outreach and inclusivity, graduation outcomes and perception. नेशनल इंस्टीट्यूशनल रैंकिंग फ्रेमवर्क (NIRF) ने 8 अप्रैल को नई दिल्ली के विज्ञान भवन में आज भारत रैंकिंग 2019 घोषित की है। भारत के राष्ट्रपति राम नाथ कोविंद ने इस रैंकिंग की घोषणा की। आईआईटी मद्रास एनआईआरएफ इंडिया रैंकिंग 2019 में सभी श्रेणी में सबसे ऊपर है। एनआईआरएफ इंडिया रैंकिंग शिक्षण, सीखने और संसाधनों, अनुसंधान और पेशेवर प्रथाओं, आउटरीच और समावेशी, स्नातक परिणामों और धारणा के आधार पर की जाती है। Rankings were announced under nine categories like Overall, Universities, Colleges, Management, Pharmacy, Medical, Architecture, Engineering and Law. समग्र, विश्वविद्यालयों, कॉलेजों, प्रबंधन, फार��मेसी, चिकित्सा, वास्तुकला, इंजीनियरिंग और कानून जैसे नौ श्रेणियों के तहत रैंकिंग की घोषणा की गई थी। Overall category: IIT Madras tops the list of best institutes in the Overall category. Architecture category: IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee have secured the first two positions respectively. Indian medical institutes: AIIMS New Delhi and PGIMER Chandigarh have secured first two ranks. Colleges category: Miranda House and Hindu College are ranked first and second. Pharmacy category: Jamia Hamdard has secured the first rank in Indian institute followed by Panjab University. Indian Management institutes: IIM Bangalore and IIM Ahmedabad are placed as first and second. This framework outlines a methodology to rank institutions across the country. The methodology draws from the overall recommendations broad understanding arrived at by a core committee set up by MHRD, to identify the broad parameters for ranking various universities and institutions. The Supreme Court Monday directed the EC to increase random matching of VVPAT slips with EVMs to five polling booths per assembly segment, from one at present, in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls saying it will provide greater satisfaction not just to political parties but the entire electorate. सर्वोच्च न्यायालय ने भारतीय निर्वाचन आयोग को निर्देश दिया है कि EVM के परिणाम से पेपर ट्रेल मशीन की पर्चियों के मिलान केवल एक बूथ पर न कर के प्रत्येक विधानसभा क्षेत्र के पाँच बूथों पर किया जाए जिससे कि चुनाव की प्रक्रिया में अधिक विश्वसनीयता आ सके| The apex court however did not agree to the demand of 21 Opposition leaders, led by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, for counting of at least 50 percent of the Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) slips with the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) in every assembly segment. The candidate who has been voted on this, his name and election symbol is printed. This slip shows up to seven seconds on a glass screen in the EVM. Bharat Electronics Limited and Electronic Corporation of India Limited have designed this machine in 2013. It was first used in Nagaland elections in 2013. Election Commission has decided in June 2014 that VVPAT will be used at all the polling stations in the next election ie 2019 elections. BEL made 33,500 VVPAT machines in 2016. It was used in the election of Goa in 2017. Release of PM Modi biopic deferred till further orders from EC

The Election Commission of India has banned the release of any biopic, including a film on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which was scheduled to release on April 11 2019. भारत के चुनाव आयोग ने प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी पर बायोपिक फिल्म की रिलीज़ पर प्रतिबंध लगा दिया है, जो 11 अप्रैल 2019 को रिलीज़ होने वाली थी| Read the Election Commission's order under Article 324 that prohibits display/exhibit any biopic/publicity material when Model Code of Conduct is in force. Any poster or publicity material concerning any such certified content, which either depicts a candidate for the furtherance of electoral prospect, directly or indirectly, shall not be put to display in print media, without the prescribed instructions of pre-certification in the area where MCC is in operation. Any cinematograph material, certified by the appropriate authority, if there exists such a violation or on receipt of complains in this regard, shall be examined by a committee duly constituted by the commission, which will then suggest appropriate action. The committee would be headed by a retired Justice of the Supreme Court or retired Chief Justice of any High Court. अनुच्छेद 324 के तहत चुनाव आयोग के आदेश को पढ़ें जो आदर्श आचार संहिता लागू होने पर किसी भी बायोपिक / प्रचार सामग्री को प्रदर्शित / प्रतिबंधित करता है। ऐसी किसी भी प्रमाणित सामग्री के विषय में कोई भी पोस्टर या प्रचार सामग्री, जो या तो प्रत्यक्ष या अप्रत���यक्ष रूप से चुनावी संभावना को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए उपयोगहोगा| उस क्षेत्र में पूर्व-प्रमाणन के निर्धारित निर्देशों के बिना, प्रिंट मीडिया में प्रदर्शित नहीं किया जाएगा| कोई भी सिनेमैटोग्राफ सामग्री, उपयुक्त प्राधिकारी द्वारा प्रमाणित, अगर इस तरह का उल्लंघन करता है तो इस संबंध में शिकायत प्राप्त होने पर, आयोग द्वारा विधिवत गठित एक समिति द्वारा जांच की जाएगी, जो इस पर  उचित कार्रवाई का सुझाव देगी। इस समिति की अध्यक्षता सर्वोच्च न्यायालय के सेवानिवृत्त न्यायाधीश या किसी उच्च न्यायालय के सेवानिवृत्त मुख्य न्यायाधीश करेंगे। According to the commission, such political contents pose a serious threat to the level playing field, as they may create an impression of the truthfulness of such content being shown through television, cinema, internet-based entertainment programmes or the social media. They have potential to disturb level playing field during the election.
