Genuinely what is wrong with this website that nobody understands what a third party is and that voting third party isn't the same as abstaining from voting
#Look I am 19 I have not lived through a lot of elections so perhaps I am missing context here#But thus far if there was an election where a third party vote may actually achieve something it's this one#And for some fucking reason far rightists seem to be doing it way more despite leftists being almost universally#Dissatisfied with Biden#Like. Wide scale reform happens at more of a local and state level (Fuck me if it'll happen in Florida but whatever)#But unless it starts to look like it's 100% swinging towards Trump I think a 3rd party vote is in fact a very reasonable#Expression of dissatisfaction with the Democratic party#It drives me crazy how often people point to voter supression as evidence that voting matters#And then not realize the MASSIVE bipartisan resistance to third parties#Is the exact same fucking situation. This could be one of the largest 3rd party votes since Debb imo#Just. Don't get it. Feel like there's something more going on here than straightforward strategy but idk what it is#Bc I probably wasn't alive for whatever cultural event is making this opinion popular
