I've been playing a game called Nuts, which is about a research intern living in the woods for a few weeks to study squirrels (in a universe where squirrels are an endangered species? Unclear) and help fight back against a corrupt corporation that's destroying the habitats you explore. Unfortunately, the main gameplay loop is focused around a finicky camera triangulation mechanic which is not what I would consider "fun"

#please feel free to ignore this #I'm playing Nuts #It's gamebro #I got it on sale for $4 and I'm perfectly satisfied with having paid that price for it #All other aspects are quite polished #but the main gameplay loop is like if Pokemon Snap involved placing a camera at a specific spot #going back to another spot #watching a recording of what happened at the spot where you placed your camera #and using that recording to go back and reposition the camera #until you capture the right pokemon in the right pose #It feels like a lot of unnecessary or just un-fun fiddling to pad play time
