This month’s playlist is dedicated to the sonic DNA of a new performance piece by Alan Fielden with JAMS. I am the J in JAMS. We are going to be performing Marathon at the Barbican’s Pit Theatre from 20 September - 29 September 2018. I am thrilled. Here are some words about this music from Alan (the A in JAMS): 

“Sometimes it feels like Marathon is closer to music than theatre, and that as performers we’re playing with dynamics that are more sonic than dramatic. Whether in reference to repetition, pattern, syncopation, improvisation, harmony & discord, foregrounding & backgrounding, here’s a collection of songs that have had some affect on our process and ways of thinking.”
