NAKED - 2: Lips on Neck

I know. I know. I know. My next post was supposed to be about Jikook and the Art of Silence … but I am INFJ-T … so I follow my feelings (for the most part) and as a result, I’d like to talk about that particular occurrence in the lives of JM and JK for a second. All that chest, waist, butt and neck talk made me rethink about Hickeygate!

Like I do, in this come naked second of the blog, I’d like to begin with stripping them down of EVERYTHING that has happened to them previous to the day in which JK, at the time a 23 year old young man, vocalist of a band named BTS, came out of a car with a mark on his neck, ready to go to rehearsal. Soon after him, from the same car, out came another young man by the name of JM, also a vocalist for the same band. If I may add, the fact that they came out of the same car should also be stripped down from this story and simply regarded as facts. 

This information is being given to us through a compilation provided to us by the company of said band, HYBE. The DVD/compilation is called “BTS Memories of 2020” and it is paid content (there is a whole can of worms about paid content, but this is not for today’s essay…), which is edited by HYBE and mostly directed to ARMY, who are BTS’ fans BUT … we already know aaaaall of that right? So we shall not go deep into the various objective of this DVD, as this is about the two boys: Jungkook and Jimin.

When the cameraman addresses JK, who is monitoring JM’s rehearsal and asks him what happened to his neck, the young man said and I quote -

JK: “Yesterday, Jiminie-hyung and I played around while having drinks. Jiminie-hyung got dizzie and bit me. He bit me and it became like this”

In the following scene Jimin is confronted with regards to JK’s mark. This time, the cameraman chooses a different approach and questions JM while he is in the company of JK and two other bandmates (Tae and Jin). JM replies and I quote:

Jimin: “... Jungkookie carried me and kept on going round and won’t let me down so I bit”

From both boys’ versions of the event at some point: Jimin’s teeth were on Jungkook’s neck as they both used the word bite. Now I know it didn’t look like a bite. To many, including myself, it looked like a hickey BUT, let's strip them down of that as well. OK? Teeth are located inside the mouth, right? And the mouth is made of lips, just like an ass is made of buttcheecks. Thus, let’s chalk it up to the fact that, at some point during that night, JM's lips were on JK’s neck.

Now, let’s take a second. Let’s imagine. You’ve been drinking. For those who have never drank, it makes you feel lighter, it lowers inhibitions, and the more your drink the less you can control your bodily functions as well; you really need to concentrate in order to do something properly.  

Let’s take a step back. Jungkook and Jimin are bandmates but also friends. In a location that is not provided to us, they were drinking, alone, as Tae and Jin seem to have no idea of what was going on. How do you drink with your friends? I'm usually seated at a table on a chair, so are my friends / friend. Some might be on a table, or by a window etc. But each on their own. And we are not talking about drinking while watching a movie or doing something else, because that is another situation and I do believe it would have been mentioned. This was just a drinking and talking night, it seems. Now here comes the piece of information we do not have: How did JM end up getting carried by JK?

Take a second and let’s continue to try to imagine. What could have made JK want to get up and carry JM? ...

So let’s change the scenario. Let’s have them standing, what could have made them be standing? Maybe JM observed that JK now is so strong that he can carry him for example like he does in No more Dream! He knows, JK knows. So … would they need to demonstrate the fact to themselves? I’d say no, but they’ve drank, so for the sake of argument let’s say that JM wants to have JK show him how easily he can carry him … for some reason … and JK agrees. They both stand up and JK carries JM bridal style. Cool. Yeah, cool but apparently there was spinning.

… Let’s keep imagining. 

Once being carried, (not for the first time because Jungkook has carried Jimin bridal style many times) they both confirm and can see that Jungkook can carry Jimin, but for some reason JK decides that it is a good idea to start spinning them. Now mind you, they have both been drinking at this point and the last thing you want to do is start spinning. Like, I’m what you call a liquor enthusiast (... to put it nicely 😬…) and TRUST MY PEOPLE, spinning is really the last thing you want to be doing as the brain and the body would not sync and lots can happen from dizziness to throwing up. 

… but let’s keep imagining.

At some point during this very controlled, yet under the influence, rendition of No More Dream, JM decides that he wants to get down but JK doesn’t let him. From what we’ve observed JM usually pats JK’s chest to let him down, which he probably tried that night without avail. At which point, apparently we are still spinning (JK is Clark Kent …) and the next thing JM thinks is to bite him. Except, there are no teeth marks at all BUT we will call it a bite mark. JK must have not felt the bite at all or maybe didn’t mind it, and for his neck to get that bruise it means JM was on the neck for more than 15sec at least… after which we have no idea what happened. All we know is that they both showed up together to rehearsal with a clear mark which JK could have covered but didn’t. I’ll get back to this but before this, let’s take a quick step back and rely on some good ol’ physics real quick

Have you ever been on a spinning ride? If you haven't, what happens is that you will be kept closer to the outer edges of what is spinning because of the centrifugal force, which depending on its strength, would make it very hard for you to reach the centre of whatever is spinning. In the bridal spin situation, JK was the center and JM was at the edge of “the ride” and depending on how fast JK was spinning, it would have been hella hard for JM to reach JK’s neck. Now let’s say that JK was spinning him slowly … 

try to imagine two tipsy grown ass men slowly spinning in the middle of a room, alone, while one is being carried bridal style and reaching out to bite the spinner in order to make him stop … LOL.

This is not just JM calling JK cute, or JK slapping JM’s but, or JM pinching JK’s cheeks, or JK shaking JM’s hands. This is literally JM’s lips and tongue (now stay with me on the PG lane please! 👮) on JK’s neck, and no matter how blurry the concept of personal space is for every member in that band, they do have boundaries. We don’t know in fact if JM spent the night or if the same car did its rounds to go pick them up from separate locations … but that really doesn’t matter does it? As we get back to our speculation of what might have happened, let’s imagine JK, waking up in the morning, looking in the mirror and finding that mark on his neck. We all know that JK has plenty of makeup available, because of work but also personal choice, so covering that up was definitely going to be

... but he didn’t.

And here come my thoughts - JKK_OBSERVATION_5.mg - Part of me thinks that if it were left to himself, when asked about the “bite”, he’d just say that Jimin bit him, but JM had them agree on a story to go with. And it wasn’t like the area hurt or anything, homeboi was touch the hell out of the mark and the whole day the only people that were allowed to touch that “bite” were the bitten (JK) and the biter (JM), now I ask you, if this were just some messing around among friends as some are trying really hard to make it look like, would JK be so sensitive about who touches a non important mark on his neck? I also feel like lowkey (highkey) JK was kinda proud and happy about being able to just walk around with that bite on his neck, I think that was a personal important moment for himself. Not sure what Jimin thought but as the biter he couldn’t quiet dictate how the bitten handled his body, right? Many will also downplay the meaning of a hickey, but let me tell you, just like when you write your name on something to make sure people know it is yours, if you apply that concept from human to human, I can guarantee you, there is nothing remotely platonic about leaving one's own mark on someone else’s body. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

NAKED - 1: Each Other’s Company

I know we are probably all on a high from the content we’ve been given thus far from Memories 2021. I have reason to believe more content might be arriving, so while we wait to witness everything in its full glory, I’d like to take a moment to take a moment and talk about something which is related to Jikook and their moments. 

I’d like to begin with stripping them off, slowly, bit by bit of some of today’s moments, until they are completely “NAKED”. So what have we got today?

And much more to be honest. So here’s the thing, I’d like to all just stripped them of the value/meaning of the moments for a second. The only thing I’d like you to keep is the camera that is filming and picturing them because that is their reality. This camera that gets everyone so conflicted! Camera that give us moments like this

and the shit that comes with it such as “it’s paid content, so obviously it is all fanservice”, “oh but so-and-so members also did the same thing”, “can’t you tell that so-and-so is uncomfortable” etc. I’d like you to strip off that noise as well. So for now you have a 24 year old young man and one of 26, who, call it whatever you want to call it, often find themselves in front of this camera; together. They spend so much time together. It doesn’t matter the content, the time, the person saying it, the content provider, the rumor, the proof, the FACT IS they are mostly always together. 

And here comes JKK_OBSERVATION_3.mg. Be it JM wanting to mess around with JK, be it JK wanting to be around JM, be it JM looking for comfort in JK when he is embarrassed, be it JK trying to make sure that JM is doing well etc, etc. Whatever it is, they always seem to seek each other AND at some point they’ve just had to accept that the camera was going to be there. Afterall, I have reason to believe that with JK having taken so many videos and pictures of JM, they might have gotten used to it (for the most part)? It’s almost as if JK got them to be accustomed and comfortable to be in front of that machine. It’s almost as if by themselves playing around with cameras, they’ve also become aware of what it is that is going to be shown, what it is that they can show and what it is that they want to show.

Somewhere along the way they might have stopped caring. Somewhere along the way, they’ve perhaps decided to try and conquer the fear of that box called camera. And I don't believe the fear is completely gone, sometimes JM is still a bit self-conscious with it and sometimes JK is overly-aware, but all in all I think they are handling it just fine. Creating more positivity for the two of them, out of something that over time has brought the two of them so much negative as well (not referring to the boys as BTS, but specifically them as “Jikook”).

The “naked” concept that should be understood from today, past the moments, the trolling, the speculation and all that comes with it, is that these two young men really, truly, seek each other’s company. For some reason they only know, but it seems to never be enough, even after all these years something is making them want to seek each other’s company. What is this something they only know, some may call it love, some don’t dare to, but whatever it is, refusing to acknowledge this mere simple fact is weird? For lack of better words.

Anyways, aren’t they lucky they have each other? I’m sure they know and just that, gives me solace.

Rambling in INFJese - Part 4: The Loud Art of Silence

Finally uh?! This comes very late. My bad. Now, I know I’ve posted 3 already BUT let me quickly explain what kind of series is Rambling in INFJese. This will be a series of posts where I expose my own thoughts/feelings, ideas and speculations with regards to various topics, mainly Jikook related, and would like to hear your thoughts in regards as well, afterall, deep conversations with open-minded people are the best, so let’s start, shall we?

Category is: Silence.

“Silence implies consent”, “Silence is golden”, “Silence is the most powerful scream”, and so on and so forth. Like everything in life, it has its positive and negative sides/shades, but regardless of its connotation, there’s one fact which can hardly be argued with; Silence is hella loud. It’s a language of its own, it's a way to convey messages which are usually either very contrived or surprisingly very simple. 

From this point on, it is all JKK_OBSERVATION_6.mg (which is what I call my opinions and speculations) so, as always, tread lightly

I’d like to say lately, but this has actually been happening for a while now, it feels like JM and JK have been perfecting the very aesthetically pleasing Art of Silence. And I am not talking about the type of silence which always triggers insecure jikookers, the subgroup and others. No. This is a silence that is synonymous with change, growth, and progression. There seems to be a calm between the two of them, a grown understanding, which is so refreshing to see and in my opinion a testament of how far their relationship and bond has come and matured. 

I’ve to noticed this more and more in JM, as JK was never the most talkative to begin with (if anything, with time, he’s been working on developing his conversational skill, but that is still very much tied in with his Silence, which bear with me, I’ll explain). There is a saying I really like and think really suits this post, which is “Once you’ve matured, your silence is more powerful than proving a point”. 

There has been a very natural evolution. With the passing of time, anything will undergo change, everything usually does, and in a relationship, you either make it or break it. They seem to have made it and mind you, it wasn’t without trials and tribulations! They gave their relationships and each other a chance and through ups and downs they seem to have finally found that balance, which I feel has become even more defined as of lately for sure.

To help explain what I mean, let’s go back a little bit. Let's go back to the time when they might have understood and accepted that they see each other in a romantic way, which by the way, isn’t immediately consequential to them getting together, I do believe they probably got together at least 2 years after this realisation. Anyways, back at that moment, JK and JM were quite instinctively vocal, meaning, it wasn’t their intention to be as loud as they were all the time, but more than not, in their younger times, impulse took place before thought when it came to things regarding each other and just the two of them really. If they had an opinion it needed to be expressed (Jimin mostly) if there was something they wanted to do it needed to be done (Jungkook mostly).

JM: Testing Waters - I’m of the opinion that at the very beginning Jimin really saw JK just as the cute maknae of the group, whenever for example, he’d say things like “Jk and I are a couple” I really do believe he was kidding, for real, or rather at that very point in time, his brain interpreted his own feelings in that way. So, I do believe that the first person to actively make a move was JK, as I also do think that JK was the type of person who didn’t waste time and rarely second guessed himself. Kinda like the “Rather ask for forgiveness than ask for permission” type of guy.

Late 2015 would have been rather hard for Jimin to not feel the sort of “attention” that JK was applying on their bond, the kind of “notice me hyung” but not really, more like a “I know you’ve noticed me hyung, so? …” but Jm felt to me like he was sceptical of where they could have gone with this situation. So so so sceptical. He definitely did get a hunch, he wasn’t sure about it but in the end, he decided he wasn’t going to let it go to waste, even though he was kinda caught off guard, he was willing to give it (whatever it was) a chance, but at the same time he was not going to be the one caught slipping. What also needs to be taken into consideration is that differently from JK, JM was at the same time in the process of “discovering himself” or rather, letting his real self be. Our boy had  A LOT going on. Yet, he still began to test the waters, realising that his were also romantic feelings after all. And one of the things he’d keep doing was for example, loudly and clearly, as if to make a point, hurl out facts about JK, whenever he could, very randomly, as if to say “Yes, I’ve noticed you, so now what?”. And well up to 2018 / beginning 2019 he’s kept the pattern of making sure that people knew just how much he knows about JK.

Jk “Man on a mission” - As I said, I do believe he was the first one to make the move, and oh was he loud and confused about it! Probably without evening realising it, he knew so much about JM already and got on a course to make sure he knew everything about JM. So much so that most likely, before he could even notice, he was going to be the quickest to answer facts about JM, the first to know things about him, the one who would make him laugh, the one who would give him comfort, etc. He was going to be a young man, because he really didn’t want to be a dongsaeng, that JM would rely on. Now the confusion came probably based on the feedback he’d get from JM, who was still very much wanting him to be the cute dongsaeng, but JK was not really having it. FOR REAL. And this dynamic went on for a very long while, in lesser degrees, as I do think that JM had accepted JK’s will more and more, however, JM never really let go completely until sometimes in 2019/2020.

2022: Something I sensed - Now this is all in my humble opinion. I do feel like there has been another shift in their dynamic, which happened at the end of 2021, a very firm and adult, kinda shift. The way I see it, as they have probably figured out the type of person they want to be, and while they are embarking on the path of becoming the artists they want to be in this second chapter, they've also reached a point of stability in their relationship. So much so that the way they deal with each other has also changed in order to accommodate the people they’ve become. For example, they’ve switched being vocal with some good old silence. For example, no longer having the need to talk about each other, particularly when the other is not present.

In the first picture Namjoon says that JK is taking dance lessons, a younger JM might have been eager to let people know that he knew, yet JM doesn’t say anything, nor does he act surprised, he simply goes ahead and says what he has been up to. In the second picture JK starts the friendship tattoo discussion and when it gets to Jimin he brings it up just to say he doesn’t know where it is, but he knows he has one. This is one example of the late 2021/ 2022 jikook dynamic I’ve observed. They really do not talk about each other if not in the presence of each other. It’s as if they are finally keeping their private life; private. Also this is the level of security we all aspire in a relationship at some point. At the beginning one is so eager to show each other to the world, eventually as you mature, comes the strengthening of trust, comes the respecting of boundaries, comes the need to protect each other etc. 

Another thing I’ve noticed is how, when they are in a group, they kinda facilitate each other to talk. What’s weird about that? Isn’t that normal? You’d ask. Aside for Namjoon and Yoongi, who really can’t help talking over each other or anyone else (kinda cute 😂😂), other members as well kinda have a habit of talking over each other, and JK is usually the person that gets to say nothing, as he is not an aggressive talker. 

Sometime, late 2021, JM has taken this stance where, when JK is talking, he’ll keep silent. As if wanting to give him full attention or allow him the time to express himself. It’s cute cause he’ll just look down, or away and stay silent. Even during games, where he’d have to participate and share knowledge about jk, he just … stays silent. JK also does the same, our resident Jiminipedia has slowly begun to keep quiet, slowly because sometimes he can’t help himself and still blurs out facts, but for the most part he will keep silent. For example:

The following question he then decides to participate in, and where everyone keeps their answers general, JK is very detailed with his answer. He knows it is about JM’s face and JM is also giving hints, but JK doesn’t pick up on it at all, in his brain probably having too much info to have to sieve through. This perhaps also being a reason why I feel like lately they’ve been opting for silence. When you know each other a bit too well, it is really hard to give generic answers.

In the first picture the question is about JM and where everyone is trying their best to guess, JK stays quiet and observes for the most part, though he joins at the end when they all describe how JM flexes his muscles JK intervened with “This morning he was flexing his arm”, which is hella precise for someone who stayed quiet during the whole question. 

Same went for JM in the Do You Know Me Game. Everyone seemed very intent and excited to answer Jungkook’s questions, but JM seemed like he was just silently going with the flow as he stared at his card. Yet, they began to precisely reminisce about seeing a double shooting start or during jm’s vlive Jk would randomly know the type of mushroom Jin gave JM for his birthday. All this random private information, which they give us and which still confirms that: BETWEEN THEM NOTHING HAS CHANGED. 

I like to see this for them, I like to feel this sense of security, of domesticity, of complicity if you may as they are both going about life with so much calm and newfound eagerness as well. They are still the people they fell in love with, but at the same time they’ve also taken those people to higher grounds, allowing their individual selves space to explore and grow, while at the same time making their life together as that safety Zone, which Jay has been speaking of. Where is that Safety Zone? I have no clue and it is also none of my business, but from the vibes I’m getting off them, they know very well.

JM quite clearly seems to have a thing for JK’s neck and chest.

JK’s chest also seems to be the go to, when trying to provide him with some comfort or to calm him down.

… JK’s neck is a story for another time 😬

JK quite clearly seems to have a thing for JM’s butt and waist.

JM’s waist also seems to be the go to, when trying to provide him with some comfort or to calm him down.

DYNAMI-CS part 1: Run BTS Special Episode

The boys are back in town and I for one have missed Run BTS so so so freaking much. Now, I know that this is a jikook blog, HAJIMAN (but)! In any relationship, environment is fundamental. Every member in BTS has been a big part of what jikook’s environment is made of, aaaand added to the fact that I’m very much and very strongly OT7, this is for me a perfect opportunity to keep up with all of them, while also educatedly look into their present relationships with each other and others. Basically, I will take any occasion I can to speak about any of them 😜.

So let’s start, shall we? Here we have the birth of this new baby, as RM so eloquently put it, with a brand new opening song, which, well, I mean (... with the song being BTS’ RUN BTS…) I think it is safe to say that this opening will be around for quite some time; wouldn’t you?

Now … I feel like I shouldn’t have to point out the following but I will, mainly for those who might take everything the boys say without properly using some critical thinking first, and also for those who maybe haven’t been around the bangtan scene for a minute and need a little context. Context is another fundamental part of relationships btw and doing the appropriate research for actual content and facts is our responsibility, btw. Just quickly putting that out there 😬 … So for example, when Hobi/Jay and Tae are said that it’s been a while since they’ve seen each other, they actually didn’t mean that they hadn’t seen each other in 10 months, as with a little bit of research we would know that: They were together at the White House on the 31st of May, and even though Tae had been to Paris end of June and this was filmed beginning of July (around the 12th I believe), so if anything as a group of 7, they hadn’t been all together for 1 month and a couple of days. NOT 10 MONTHS.

In addition, Yoongi also mentioned that they all, except for RM because he apparently left early, had the chance to taste some honey from Jin. Now this was an actual private outing they’ve had and was verified by the boys themselves as we, thus far, have no picture/videos/ anything to testify to it, except for their word of mouth.

Right before Yoongi mentioned Jin’s, aka Fruit Basket, honey, they also shared that he gave J-Hope some watermelons. Jin posted a picture of himself with watermelons a week before they shot this episode. This, and added to other outings we know they’ve had, shows how even if they don’t meet all seven, they definitely hang out in pairs at least.

It may come as a surprise to some but, Kim Namjoon, Kim Seokjin, Min Yoongi, Jung Hoseok, Park Jimin, Kim Taehyung and Jeon Jungkook are different people, who might share some likes and dislikes amongst each other, but most definitely have different beliefs and ways of thinking, which makes them approach situations, relationships and life in general differently from each other. Just like you and me. Reason perhaps why, someone like Hobi would maybe mention the watermelons, something ARMY has witnessed on Jin’s IG so can relate to, as opposed to Yoongi, who mentioned the “honey receiving day” something ARMY had no clue about. 

And here comes my first little JKK_OBSERVATION_1.mg (mg = Marengo Go, yeah, that's me, so MY observation, MY opinion 😜). JK was playfully offended by the fact that he didn’t receive a watermelon from Jin, and asked him why, to which Jin gave him a reply and JK left it at that, which I would think he was satisfied with the answer, or really didn’t care too much. Now, do we remember another recent instance in which JK was playfully offended? …

During The Festa Dinner 2022 JM was talking about the songs he was working on and it turned out there were already a few of the members, who have heard it, but not JK, to which, just like he did with Jin he resorted to playfully questioning why he hadn't heard it yet. JM did answer the questions straightaway, just like Jin had answered the watermelon question, but apparently JM’s reply wasn't acceptable to JK, who resulted not only to mockingly keep telling him how offended he was but ending with requesting an apologies; all … in good fun, right Jimin? 🤡.

Moving on, back to the fantastic 7 and how they are different people. Remember when during RUN 97 episode Tae was just not thinking like the rest? Same happened today with Hobi to a relatively easy question, the white tail gave it away, if you ask me, but most definitely Hobi’s mind was somewhere else, perhaps he was thinking too deeply, after all they did go from from the Schrödinger’s cat to a mere deer 😅.

I’m emphasising the difference between each other, and their thought processes associated with certain events as it seemed to me to be the common theme of this episode, ironically enough, as this was supposed to be an episode that “proved” how alike they think, and unfortunately I can already sense people taking this a bit too seriously on the bird app … but let’s not digress! 😬

After the writing telepathy game that scarred Hobi well enough (lol), they played the movement telepathy game, which my dear RUN producers, I’m sorry to say but this was a bit of hard, like the “Someone who dropped their phone on their face while laying down”, really?? (made them do some hella funny stuff though ngl, so I guess mission accomplished on that!)

Other than lots of laughter, this game had a very cute moment that kinda brought JM and Bam “together”. The question was to imitate “a puppy that met their owner for the first time after one week”. As we all know they are almost all owners except for JM (and Jin as far as I know) so I guess they all tried to imitate their dogs, even though according to Tae and RM their dogs are not that interested in them (omo! … 😂😂😂) now the cute part was how JM’s tail wagging brought to mind Bam straight away (as shown in the following tweet) https://twitter.com/Jessiimochi/status/1454231885035544582?s=20&t=g56A6aVRyGH6XUkVEL3dwA as well as how he could see Bam in Jk’s imitation. Cute cute cute.

Now game number 3 was very well thought if you ask me. Not only did it had the members go down memory lane but it also provided us with more insight of how each of them think. The first task of this game was to go to a place where all the members have real fun. Now if you think about it properly, each member's definition of fun is different, so not only did they have to sort of abandon their perception but try and figure out what the others will think and hope for the best! Literally ... it is still a game after all so winning is the whole goal.

And here is where I will conclude this already incredibly long post (so sorry, but I was really excited 🙃) with another little JKK_OBSERVATION_2.mg  except for Hobi and Yoongi, who went respectively to the Olympic stadium and the Han river (..the Han river really sent me ngl 😂😂😂) all the other members kinda had the same thought processes. Jin, JM and Tae had the most emotional encounter when they all met by the old dorm (eventually joined by RM) and JK who went to Lotte World, was however not the only one to have had that thought as RM and Tae had the same feeling, in fact, I thought Tae would have changed his destination to Lotte World, him and JK always had a blasted over there!

Now for the JKK part of this whole thought process, there was no way in hell that JM was going to choose anything that had to do with amusement parks as a definition of fun for all (as himself and Hobi would be automatically out, being not to fond of rides 😬😬), but I found it funny that perhaps JK might have thought that regardless of the fact that JM is not a big fan of rides, the fact that JM still keeps the ticket of the first time they all went to Lotte World, most have meant something? Aaaand tbh ... I wouldn’t fault him for thinking so, would you?
