#Repost @jeanprouvearchitecture ・・・ “A building has to be made of the smallest possible number of elements”, Jean Prouvé. Prouvé developed a “constructional philosophy” based on functionality and rational fabrication. Free of all artifice, the resultant aesthetic chimed with the doctrine of the Union of Modern Artists, of which Prouvé – with Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand – was a founder member. He first devised rapid construction systems that he had patented in 1939: one with an external frame, the other with an axial portal system for those who had lost their homes in the War. The simplicity of the construction process and the efficiency of its assembly, carried out by few men with a minimum of equipment, were characteristics of his philosophy. #jeanprouvé #prouvé #prouve #architecture #demountablehouse #house #quote #galeriepatrickseguin (à Paris, France) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cp5QutptQwA/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Jean Prouve, the French architect, designed the dining room table. The chairs are by Werner Panton. A 1970s sculpture by Yannis Gaitis lines the wall.
