About the genshin streamers, I definitely think that some of them felt passionate about the game and it's lore and characters, but the majority of the quests just make you talk and hoyoverse tries to make you care about these npcs and at the end of the day it just becomes so tiring to have to do it all over again.

The most recent example being the world quest from the latest region. I was really a lore enjoyer, but that quest sucked my soul and all the enthusiasm I had for the new land we were getting. I never wished genshin had a skip button so much and them as streamers I imagine that it's kind of hard to pretend in front of so many people that you are enjoying the story.

the sorush quest from the last one i absolutely HATED (this 'path of the recollector event' is the only one ive ever had to quick start because i havent finished it fully yet!), but it's when all of the hangouts and even the story quests are incomplete that i get a little sad! i totally get not being bothered to do the world quests but . . . the lack of story quests makes me sad :(. especially in sumeru a lot of the npcs i DO care about (jeht my beloved, my aranara pals), and the writing has gotten better but . . . yeah.

but i also acknowledge i came into genshin super late and lots of like, qol updates people have been asking for still don't exist so i can get being bummed out on that! i still like putting on some streamers for background noise and i watch a lot of wish videos to try and alleviate my own desire to pull dfgbnjkfgbkjn.
