For the last two years, two vote counting technology companies have been seeking redress for defamation by Rupert Murdoch’s Fox News and a few copycat right-wing media outlets. Dominion Voting Systems has sued Fox and parent company Fox Corporation for least US$1.6 billion for falsely claiming its machines changed votes cast for Trump into votes for Joe Biden. The trial is scheduled for April. Smartmatic has also sued Fox, its parent and others for $2.7 billion. Fox recently lodged an appeal to the New York's Supreme Court Appellate Division to have Smartmatic’s action dismissed on the grounds that reporting denials of election integrity was (i) legitimate news coverage, (ii) protected by free speech and (iii) there was no “actual malice” – which is a necessary element for defamation to succeed in the USA. Last Tuesday, the five appellate judges unanimously rejected Fox’s claims. Smartmatic’s action – against Fox News, hosts Maria Bartiromo and Jeanine Pirro, former host Lou Dobbs and Donald Trump’s former attorney Rudy Giuliani – will now proceed to the next phases before eventually being assessed by a judge and jury in open court.
US courts allow companies to chase billions from Murdoch’s Fox News for ‘malicious’ election lies

GOP Against Itself in Midterms
LOS ANGELES (OnlineColumnist.com), Nov. 13, 2022.--President Abraham Lincoln once said, “A House divided against itself cannot stand,” referring to both House of Congress but it also applies to the self-destructive class of Republicans that find it amusing to raise money and run ads against 76-year-old President Donald Trump.  Lincoln Project co-founder Rick Wilson said the Republican Party is in “Trumpfunk,” because of the lackluster showing in the Nov. 8 Midterm elections.  But like other anti-Trump Republicans, they forget that Trump was the Party’s least of its problems heading into the Midterms.  Republicans have no one to blame but themselves for cheering the June 24 Supreme Court ruling ending Roe v. Wader, turning back the clock on women’s rights.  Wilson and other anti-Trump conservatives like 60-year-old pundit Anne Coulter don’t get it that the GOP has turned off generations of young voters, including single parents.
Trumpfunk is the way Willson can stay in denial about a party that thinks they can take away women’s rights, celebrating the end of Roe v. Wade.  What happened on the Supreme Court was an abortion of justice, using a red herring like Dobbs v. Jackson to reverse nearly 53 years of allowing women and their doctors to decide what’s best in their medical decision-making. Securing the Senate, Democrats have given 80-year-old President Joe Biden more ways to bankrupt the country with runaway inflation and recession.  Biden has donne more damage to the U.S. economy since former President Jimmy Carter, whose economy hiked the prime rate to 21%.  Biden wants to take credit for his 42% approval ratings but clearly he’s a liability to the Democrat Party, despite the poor showing by self-defeating Republicans, too consumed feuding with  Trump than winning elections.
Wilson was gleeful about the poor showing in the Midterm election, pointing fingers, like Couter, on Trump.  But the GOP has an existential problem, turning off young voters and single parents.  When you have people like Wilson that celebrate a poor showing in the Midterms because it reflects unfavorably on Trump, the GOP needs a major overhaul, top-to-bottom.  “No matter where you stand on abortion, the audience for the state GOP’s legislatures setting up snitch bounties [e.g. Texas] and forcing pre-teen rape victims to carry and ectopic victims to die has a very small constituency,” Wilson said, coming close to the fact the abortion issue hurt the GOP, not Trump, in the Midterm election.  Wilson is dead wrong about the GOP who’d rather go down wit the ship than rethink the self-destructive anti-abortion vote.  Ending Roe v. Wade weighed heavily on young voters Nov. 8.
Wilson and other anti-Trump Republicans want all the blame to go to Trump to stop him from running in the 2024 presidential election.  Trump is one person among a slew of other candidates including Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fl.), who consider running in 2024.  Wilson goes off the rails when it comes to Trump but he’ll find the GOP with more systemic problems going forward as a national party.  No party with extreme positions on women’s rights can expect to sell itself on the national stage.  No one can underestimate the damage done by the Supreme Court to the Republican Party going forward.  Republicans keep taking about states rights but the issue boils down to women’s right to control their own bodies.  Until the GOP can figure it out, they’ll have trouble attracting young voters.  Wilson wants to attribute everything to “Trumpfunk” but the GOP has undeniable problems.
When you have a Democrats president sending the world close to WW III, possibly nuclear war, the Republican Party had a perfect chance to put the Midterm election into perspective.  No president in modern history has done more damage to U.S. national security than Biden.  Wilson thinks Trump did damage but only to Wilson and his friends’ egos, who didn’t like Trump’s unconventional governing style.  Whether admitted to or not by Wilson or the press, Trump was not a Kremlin puppet.  Trump got along well with U.S. adversaries believing it’s more important in the scheme of things to get along on the world stage.  Based on Biden’s abysmal track record with Russia and China, you’d think that the GOP could drive voters away from Democrats.  But no, Republican and Democrats joined together on one issue, Biden’s proxy war in Ukraine against Vladimir Putin.
Republicans had a missed opportunity to show the nation that the commander-in-chief is not fit for duty.  Pushing the world to war with the Kremlin and close to war with China, Biden has made the world a dangerous place.  Biden doesn’t know how to relate to U.S. adversaries, threatening military action, not trying to improve diplomacy.  Yet unlike Trump, the GOP backs Biden’s madness in Ukraine.  One miscalculation, one mishap, one mistake could send the world spiraling into WW III.  U.S. press has high hopes for Biden’s upcoming meeting in Jakarta, Indonesia at the G20 summit where he’s expected to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping.  Biden has already threatened Xi with a new alliance to protect Taiwan with Australia.  No one should expect Biden to go anything but make a bad situation worse.  Whey hasn’t the GOP highlighted Biden’s reckless incompetence in foreign policy?

4K Ultra HD Review: Dead & Buried
Tumblr media
While 1980s horror has been mined for gems by distributors and cinephiles alike, some great films still remain under the radar. Dead & Buried has been readily available on home video - thanks to Blue Underground's ownership of the film, it received a robust DVD release in 2003 and a Blu-ray upgrade in 2009 - but many new viewers are being exposed to the 1981 cult classic 40 years later. The reasons are twofold: it was featured on The Last Drive-in with Joe Bob Briggs in May, and now it's making its 4K Ultra HD debut via Blue Underground.
The film gets off to a fiery start as a photographer (Christopher Allport, Jack Frost) - who, upon first viewing, one might assume is the main character - is set on fire while still alive by a group of locals in a seaside community. The perpetrators watch on emotionlessly, some photographing and filming the gruesome events, and then make it look like an accident to cover their tracks. They repeat a similar process several times throughout the film, each with a different vicious method of death but always documented.
Tumblr media
Enter Dan Gillis (James Farentino, The Final Countdown), who returns from the big city to his coastal hometown of Potter's Bluff, Maine to serve as sheriff. Gillis teams with local coroner Dobbs (Jack Albertson, Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory) to inspect the rash of recent visitor disappearances. The investigation takes an unexpected turn when the victims begin popping back up among the townsfolk. As he connects the dots between the murders and disappearing bodies, Gillis even becomes suspicious of his wife (Melody Anderson, Flash Gordon).
Dead & Buried went through three production companies, each involved at a different stage (pre-production, filming, and post-production) with clashing visions for the final product. It went from a dark comedy script to an artful yet suspense-driven horror production with suggested violence to an R-rated straight horror film with additional gore inserts and re-editing against the director's wishes. Considering the many cooks in the kitchen, it's shocking that Dead & Buried is watchable, let alone genuinely great.
Tumblr media
While the script by Ronald Shusett & Dan O'Bannon (Alien, Total Recall) deserves a fair share of the credit for the film's effectiveness, much of its success can be attributed to director Gary Sherman (Poltergeist III, Wanted: Dead or Alive). He and cinematographer Steven Poster (Donnie Darko, Rocky V) turn a would-be picturesque community into a desolate locale with diffused lighting and a cold, desaturated color palette, coupled with a melancholic score (with occasional big band music) by Joe Renzetti (Child's Play). The use of the red is limited so that blood has a great impact when it's shed. They also employ a number of dynamic but understated long takes that immerse the viewer. The chilling atmosphere is akin to The Fog.
Having a character within the movie film the death scenes is ahead of its time, although its ultimate purpose is superfluous (albeit potent). The snuff-style Super 8 footage is projected on several different screens of varying sizes for the big finale, adding a layer of creepiness that makes it easy to overlook the plot holes created by the twist when scrutinized. The nasty kills - from the aforementioned traumatic burn to a shot of eye trauma that would make Lucio Fulci squirm - are accomplished by Stan Winston (Jurassic Park, Terminator 2). Even this early in his career, his special effects are astonishingly convincing.
Tumblr media
Farentino is a fine, if unremarkable, lead. Despite his declining health, Albertson delivers a standout performance in the tradition of Vincent Price. (This would be his final film appearance, as he passed away from colorectal cancer shortly after its release.) The supporting cast features several character actors as townspeople, including Robert Englund (A Nightmare on Elm Street), Lisa Blount (Prince of Darkness), Bill Quinn (Twilight Zone: The Movie), Glenn Morshower (24), and Michael Pataki (Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers).
Dead & Buried has been newly restored in 16-bit 4K from the 35mm interpositive, approved by Poster, with Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos audio. The picture and audio quality are simply impeccable, bestowing the film with the flawless presentation it deserves. Blue Underground's limited edition set includes the film on 4K UHD and Blu-ray along with a CD of Renzetti's score and a booklet featuring an essay by journalist Michael Gingold on the film's distributor, Avco Embassy Pictures (also home to The Fog, Escape from New York, Phantasm, Scanners, and The Howling). The first pressing features three different reversible covers, each with a matching lenticular slipcover.
Tumblr media
The film has four audio commentaries, three of which are carried over from the DVD. Sherman provides ample insight into the production, but the most astounding reveal is that the memorable sequence in which a writhing character is wrapped in bandages was accomplished entirely with a dummy created by Winston; even in the realistic closeup of the eye, it was not an actor. The second track features Shusett (who also produced) and his wife, actress Linda Turley. It's less informative but still worthwhile, including Turley explaining that Pataki accepted the role because she is his niece. The third track is a technical one with Poster, who breaks down the picture's unique look and how it impacts the viewing. Film historians Troy Howarth and Nathaniel Thompson's new commentary doesn't have any fresh information that isn't covered by the first-hand accounts, but they offer context from a fan perspective.
Four new featurettes are included. Behind the Scenes of Dead & Buried consists of 33 minutes of fly-on-the-wall 8mm footage shot by the crew during production with new commentary by Sherman, Poster, first assistant director Brian E. Frankish, and production assistant Dustin Bernard. Sherman and Renzetti sit down together to discuss their collaboration on the music. Novelization author Chelsea Quinn Yarbro is also interviewed, detailing the unique process of conveying a movie without visuals. Dead & Buried Locations: Now & Then contrasts clips from the film with footage of the Mendocino, California filming locations as they appear today.
Tumblr media
Archival interviews from the original DVD release with three genre titans are ported over: Winston humbly discusses the early days of his craft; the loquacious Englund reflects back on his pre-Freddy Krueger career; and O'Bannon elucidates on the film, for which he admits he only doctored the script rather than co-writing it, and horror as a genre, including asides on H.P. Lovecraft and George Romero. Other special features include three trailers (U.S., international, and teaser) and seven galleries (posters, advertising materials, Japanese souvenir program, lobby cards, stills, video and book covers, Stan Winston’s effects, and Poster’s location scout photos).
Dead & Buried will be released on 4K Ultra HD on July 20 via Blue Underground.

90 In 30: Steelers 2021 Training Camp Preview Series: Benny Snell Jr., Robert Spillane, Donovan Stiner
Tumblr media
The Pittsburgh Steelers’ 2021 offseason practices have long since concluded. Next up for the team is their annual training camp, which should get underway in the latter part of July. Ahead of training camp, we will preview the team’s 90-man roster three players at a time for you as part of a 30-post series. This Steelers 90-man roster preview that includes outlooks for each player goes alphabetically by last name to make it easy to follow along with. The next three players we will preview today are Benny Snell Jr., Robert Spillane, and Donovan Stiner. RB Benny Snell Jr. — Snell’s second season in the NFL with the Steelers included the former fourth-round draft pick out of Kentucky registering 111 carries for 368 yards and four touchdowns. Snell also logged 10 receptions for another 61 yards in the 281 total offensive snaps that played during the 2020 regular season. On top of that offensive playing time that Snell received in 2020, he also logged 198 total special teams snaps. He had five total tackles on special teams in 2020 and also recovered a fumble. Overall, Snell’s play was average in 2020 just like all of the other running backs used by the Steelers in 2020. Outlook: Snell will be battling for one of three or four running back spots this summer and essentially for the right to backup rookie running back Najee Harris, the team’s first-round draft pick this year. Snell’s immediate competition for a 2021 roster spot this summer includes Anthony McFarland Jr., Jaylen Samuels, and newcomer Kalen Ballage. Snell is a willing and able special teams player and with 2021 being the running backs third year in Pittsburgh, he should have a better than average chance of sticking on the roster again this season and dressing weekly for games as either the second or third string running back behind Harris. assuming Snell does stick on the roster again this season, he might be hard pressed to see 100 touches as long as long as Harris stays healthy. ILB Robert Spillane — Spillane made the Steelers roster in 2020 as a backup behind starting inside linebackers Devin Bush and Vince Williams and that meant the plan for him was to mostly contribute on special teams. When Bush was lost for the season in Week 6 to a knee injury, Spillane was jettisoned into the starting lineup, and he even was the defensive quarterback for several games until a knee injury of his own in Week 13 forced him to the team’s Reserve/Injured list for the final three regular season games. While Spillane did return for the Steelers’ Super Wild Card game, he was very ineffective in that contest and played poorly. He ended the regular season with 43 total tackles on defense and two sacks. He was credited with four tackles for loss, three quarterback hits, four passes defensed, a fumble recovery and one interception, which he returned for a touchdown. Spillane also had two total special teams tackles on the season. He played 377 total defensive snaps during the regular season and 153 more on special teams. In the Steelers’ lone playoff game, Spillane played another 59 defensive snaps and 12 others on special teams. He registered nine total tackles in that contest. Outlook: The summer outlook for Spillane begins with him needing to compete for the right to be the Steelers’ other starting inside linebacker beside Bush. Competing against Spillane for that job figures to be veteran Vince Williams and maybe even third-year player Ulysees Gilbert III if he stays healthy. If Spillane ultimately wins that other staring spot this summer, and he has decent shot at doing so, he will obviously then be expected to play quite extensively in 2021. If, however, Spillane fails to win the starting spot beside Bush, he will likely enter the regular season as the top inside linebacker backup. He’ll also likely be asked to play quite extensively on special teams in 2021 as he is an above average player in that phase of the game. S Donovan Stiner — Stiner, one of the Steelers’ higher-priority undrafted free agent signings this offseason, played his college football at Florida. The safety finished his college career with 145 total tackles and six interceptions in playing in 41 games played. At his Pro Day, Stiner measured in at 6014, 205 pounds. He reportedly ran his 40-yard dash in 4.58 seconds and did 15 reps on the bench. Outlook: Stiner will be battling for a backup safety spot during training camp and the preseason. While he is versatile safety, Stiner might be better suited to player closer to the line of scrimmage than deep. His best shot at making the 53-man roster in the coming weeks likely revolves around him being top-notch special teams contributor and one that can play on all four units. The best bet when it comes to Stiner’s future come the start of the regular season is that he lands on the Steelers practice squad. That would give him a chance to develop for a full season. ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Inside linebacker Tegray Scales will make his NFL debut for the Pittsburgh Steelers in their game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night, as he is one of the team’s active players after being added to the roster from the practice squad on Saturday.
Scales is one of four inside linebackers the Steelers were able to cobble together, alongside Avery Williamson, Marcus Allen, and Ulysees Gilbert III, who returned from the injured reserve list earlier in thฟรีสปินe week.
Starters Robert Spillane (injured reserve, knee) and Vince Williams (COVID-19) will miss the game.
Not dressed for the Steelers are injured corner Joe Haden (concussion), quarterback Josh Dobbs, running back Anthony McFarland Jr., offensive lineman Derwin Gray, tight end Kevin Rader and defensive end Isaiah Buggs.
McFarland saw significant reps over the last two weeks but finds himself without a helmet after the return of James Conner, who missed the last two games while on the COVID-19 reserve list.

State of Play (2009)
Crime, Drama, Mystery |
State of Play is a political thriller film directed by Kevin Macdonald. It is based on the 2003 British television serial of the same name.
The film tells of a journalist’s probe into the suspicious death of a congressman’s mistress. The supporting cast includes Rachel McAdams, Helen Mirren, Jason Bateman, Robin Wright and Jeff Daniels. Macdonald said that State of Play is influenced by the films of the 1970s and explores the subject of privatization of American Homeland Security and to a minor extent journalistic independence, along with the relationship between politicians and the press. It was released in North America on April 17, 2009. The film received generally positive reviews.
One night, a thief fleeing through Georgetown in Washington, D.C., is shot by a man carrying a briefcase. A deliveryman who witnesses the incident is also shot by the killer and is left in a coma. The following morning, a young woman is killed by a Washington Metro train in what seems to be suicide. Congressman Stephen Collins is distraught to hear that the woman was Sonia Baker, a researcher on his staff. Collins, who has military experience, is leading an investigation into PointCorp, a private defense contractor with controversial operations involving mercenaries. Collins tells his college roommate and old friend Cal McAffrey, an investigative reporter, that he had been having an affair with Sonia and that she had sent him a cheerful video message on the morning of her death, which he says is inconsistent and unusual behavior for someone about to commit suicide.

Barnes/Associated PressThe Chicago Bears have acquired the star pass rusher Khalil Mack from the Raiders in a blockbuster trade that sends two first-round draft picks to Oakland.Mack held out for the entire off-season and preseason, seeking a new, long-term contract rather than play under the final year of his rookie deal. Raiders Coach Jon Gruden, in his biggest move since returning to the sideline from the broadcast booth, accommodated the 27-year-old Mack on Saturday.Oakland reportedly will receive first-round selections in 2019 and 2020, a sixth-rounder next year and a third-rounder in 2020. Oakland also included its second-round selection in 2020.Mack agreed to a six-year, $141 million extension with the Bears, according to multiple media reports. The deal averages $23.5 million per season, includes $90 million in guaranteed money and a $60 million signing bonus. The fifth overall selection in the 2014 draft, Mack is a two-time All-Pro and the 2016 Defensive Player of the Year. Mack has played in every game for Oakland the past four seasons, with 231 primary tackles, 40½ sacks, and nine forced fumbles.Since entering the league, Mack leads all players with 185½ quarterback pressures and ranks second with 68 tackles for a loss, according to SportRadar. He is one of the most versatile defenders in the N.F.L. and joins a Bears team lacking in star power. The Mack trade occurred on the same day that N.F.L. teams made their final personnel cuts to reduce their active rosters to 53 players. Robert Griffin III, the 2012 Offensive Rookie of the Year whose career has been disrupted by injuries since that season, remained with Baltimore. He’ll likely be the third-string quarterback behind Joe Flacco and the first-round draft pick Lamar Jackson.A. J. McCarron, who signed with Buffalo as a free agent after four years as a backup quarterback in Cincinnati, was traded by the Bills to Oakland.Among the intriguing players let go were Dallas kicker Dan Bailey, Chiefs cornerback David Amerson, Ravens receiver Breshad Perriman, Bengals defensive end Michael Johnson, Texans receiver Braxton Miller and guard Davis Quessenberry, and Steelers quarterback Landry Jones.QUARTERBACKS Griffin signed a one-year deal with the Ravens in April after sitting out the 2017 season. He was Washington’s first-round choice in 2012, second overall, and led the Redskins to the playoffs that year before things went sour.“There’s no doubt that you want Robert Griffin on your team,” Coach John Harbaugh said after the final preseason game. “He makes our quarterback room better and stronger. He’s a very good quarterback. He looks like a starter to me.”In Pittsburgh, Josh Dobbs’s impressive preseason cost Jones his job. The Steelers kept Dobbs and the rookie Mason Rudolph as the primary backups to Ben Roethlisberger. Dobbs made significant strides in his second training camp and ended the preseason by throwing for a touchdown and running for another in a victory over Carolina. Jones had been 3-2 as a starter in five pro seasons, with eight touchdowns and seven interceptions.FAILED DRAFT PICKS The Ravens parted with Perriman, the team’s first-round pick in 2015. He managed just 43 catches for 576 yards and three touchdowns over 27 career games. It marked the first time in franchise history the Ravens cut a first-round pick before the end of his rookie contract. The Bills chose not to hold onto receiver Corey Coleman, who has been a disappointment since the Browns made him the 15th overall selection two years ago. Buffalo traded a seventh-round pick in 2020 for him.RELEASED VETERANS Brian Robison and Terence Newman were released by Minnesota.Robison was about to begin his 12th season with the team. Newman, the oldest defensive player in the N.F.L., will retire and immediately join the coaching staff — three days before his 40th birthday.Robison, who’s tied for ninth in Vikings history with 60 career sacks, was the longest-tenured player on the team. Drafted in the fourth round in 2007, he spent six of his 11 years with the Vikings as a full-time starter. The Bengals released Johnson, a 10th-year defensive end, although it could be a temporary separation. Johnson becomes a free agent and could re-sign with Cincinnati for less money. The Chiefs released Amerson, an underperforming cornerback who signed a $2.25 million free-agent deal this past off-season.A version of this article appears in print on , on Page SP3 of the New York edition with the headline: Mack Traded to Bears After Holdout. 90 In 30: Steelers 2021 Training Camp Preview Series: James Pierre, Kevin Rader, Dax Raymond
Tumblr media
The Pittsburgh Steelers’ 2021 offseason practices concluded last week. The next three players we will preview today are James Pierre, Kevin Rader, and Dax Raymond. CB James Pierre — Pierre, who signed with the Steelers last year as an undrafted free agent out of Florida Atlantic, beat a lot of odds as a rookie as he made the 53-man roster despite there not being much of an offseason or any preseason games. Not only did Pierre make the 53-man roster in 2020 as a rookie, but he also went on to dress for every game on his way to registering 27 defensive snaps played with a whopping 227 more on special teams. He had 10 total tackles aa a rookie with most of those coming on special teams as well. He showed a lot of potential on defense as an outside cornerback in the regular season finale and even registered a pass defensed in that contest. Outlook: Pierre entered the offseason with quite a bit of buzz surrounding him. During the Steelers offseason practices, Pierre reportedly did not disappoint and with that, there’s a lot of speculation that he could ultimately play a lot more defensive snaps in 2021 and potentially even wind up being an outside cornerback in several sub packages. Pierre should make the 53-man roster again this year and play a considerable number of snaps on special teams while severing as a depth player on the cornerback depth chart. He has a legitimate shot to become a future starter for the Steelers on the outside and especially if he plays well in whatever defensive playing time he receives in 2021, which could wind up being more than a lot of people think right now. TE Kevin Rader — Rader, who was signed originally as an undrafted free agent by the Green Bay Packers in 2018, has been around the Steelers organization quite a bit since 2019. During the last two seasons, Rader has spent a considerable amount of time on the Steelers practice squad and was list as a protected player quite frequently during the 2020 season. He was on the Steelers expanded gameday roster for four games last season and played in one of them with 12 snaps coming on offense and 12 more on special teams. He also dressed for the Steelers lone playoff game last season and logged 20 special teams snaps. In total, Rader, a Youngstown State product, registered three total tackles in 2020. He was mainly used as a blocking tight end on offense in his limited playing time and failed to register any offensive stats. Outlook: Rader should get a chance to make the Steelers 53-man roster this summer as the team’s third tight end. Zach Gentry, the Steelers former fifth round draft pick out of Michigan in 2019, figures to be Rader’s biggest competition for that last spot as we sit here a few weeks out from the start of training camp. Rader is an above average blocking tight end and an adequate special teams player so that could help his cause quite a bit this year in training camp and the preseason. It could ultimately and realistically go either way with Rader in the next several weeks and it would not be shocking to see him start the 2021 regular season on the Steelers practice squad. TE Dax Raymond — Raymond, who was signed by the Steelers originally last July, injured his ankle during a 2020 training camp practice and ultimately wound up being waived from the team several weeks later with an injury settlement. Raymond was signed originally by the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent in 2019 out of Utah State and he spent some time on their practice squad as a rookie. He has yet to spend any time on an NFL team’s 53-man roster to date. The Steelers signed Raymond back to their offseason roster way earlier in the year. Outlook: Raymond’s best shot at sticking around ibn Pittsburgh past the final rounds of roster cuts involves him ultimately landing on the team’s practice squad and even that will be tough to do if the Steelers decide to retain just one tight end in total on that unit. Raymond has had some injury issues so far as an NFL player so hopefully he can stay healthy all summer and at least log considerable practice and playing time during training camp and the preseason. He’s merely a low-level developmental tight end at this point, however. He has a lot to show in the next eight weeks.
