Here are some Leo films on TV shows starting with the Wizard of Oz. We have Dorothy Garrett who lives on a farm with her grandparents and family and friends. She has her best friend Toto which is her dog. Then she goes on a journey of self discovery along the yellow brick Road where she meets like unlikely friends, the scarecrow who’s going to see the Wizard of Oz for a brain. The tin man who’s going to see him for a heart And the lion who’s going to see him for some courage when they get there they have on the journey they go through many trials and tribulations which stop them almost getting to their destination but as they get there they realise they had these things all along, and that they were brave, something that they needs to realise, without being arrogant in any sort of way, but ones who are lacking the confidence is which many Leo do is a perfect film for self discovery. It’s very sad truth behind this film also in real life and the life of Judy Garland.

As Leo relates to celebrity culture and being a celebrity and being part of royalty, we love a good bio pic here I have put Ray in the life of Ray Charles gave through his early music career and his affairs with numerous women, and the fact that he was a blind junkie it is an amazing film and Jamie Foxx does Ray Charles justice and he sounds just like him in this film it’s every day dream of like popstar of a celebrity and the ups and downs of being a celebrity. Also I’m being a drug addict in those times where he was blind, and literally injecting himself with heroin. next we have American beauty. The narrator played by the man I will not name is going for a midlife crisis as he rates the film he says in a year from now I’ll be dead. It is about a man go through a midlife car in a suburban town where he meets the new neighbours and start making dope and building his body up. He falls in love with his daughters best friend who is the same age as his daughter, his wife becomes bored with his Waze and upset with her own dissatisfaction in life and has an affair herself, but it’s all about keeping up appearances keeping up the Joneses, which I feel is very Leo like when all of them are actually miserable and they also have their daughter Jane who can’t stand her dad isn’t embarrassed by him and the fact that he fancies her friend she falls in love with an unlikely person. The next door neighbour who is very deep and sells drugs to her. Dad but they make this bond. Best friend makes her feel really ugly and pretends that she’s had sex with all these men until she reveals to Leicester that she’s actually a virgin when they’re about to have sex.

Next we have Dreamgirls, which is based on the Supremes. It has Beyoncé Jennifer Hudson, Eddie Murphy and more. It follows the life of a group who are very like the Supremes in the 1960s and how they raised the fame and how Effie character played by Jennifer Hudson is like the Florence ballad of the group and how Beyoncé who is like Diana Ross is the Diana Ross of the group, and they switch roles of Dina singing lead from Effie who is a better thing clearly they go through affairs in this film, drug addiction and overdoses going on the road. The life of music starts and back in the day Motown Detroit. It’s also an amazing musical and my favourite musical. Eddie Murphy plays a little Richard like character, and does it extremely well justice. Lost and not by any means least is American psycho played by , Christian Bale, who plays Patrick Bateman, a stockbroker on Wall Street in the 1980s, who lives a very private debaucher life, he works in a office with men of the same characteristics as him, but not so animalistic, but they’re all very disgusting in their own different ways. He becomes a mass murderer, but when questioned about it later in the film, when he tells his lawyer everything and then he goes to view his own flat. He is told that he hasn’t done anything into please leave. It is a great psychological thriller. It is very violent though if you’re not interested in that side of it there is a lot of narcissism in this film, which Leo we do have bucket loads of.

Hii do y’all know where the dolls that were used in the movie are today? Like a museum or warehouse somewhere? Or like. someone’s house?

"The dolls in the playroom were constructed by four people, The Camel doll, the Twin Penny Dolls, the ship and the Captain in the glass globe were built and the Granpa doll was rebuilt by Frederick Nidah, the professional mask- and prop-maker who made the Equus horse heads, the Tin Man in The Wiz, and the gorilla mask in the movie Cabaret; Richard Williams's mother fashioned Raggedy Ann and Andy, Topsy Turvy, and the Sockworm; Bill Davis in California made Barney Beanbag and Suzy Pincushion; and Judy Sutcliff, a ceramicist, fashioned Babette, the French doll."

At some point I heard the stuffed dolls went home with Claire, Richard Williams's daughter who played Marcella. Which would make sense if it was her grandmother who made them. But even Garrett wasn't able to confirm that or give any extra information.

Regardless, they aren't displayed anywhere public, and it's unfortunately likely that even if they are still around, they wouldn't be in great condition. Especially if they were given to a little girl to play with.

So, under that great French doc about Gene on YouTube (that's now in English-hurray) I commented about Gene being a wonderful man and was immediately contradicted by some moron named MissGelly who wanted me to know that he was a bully, hated by all his co-stars. Well, needless to say, I pinned her ears back and wondered if you wanted to add a few salient points, too. I forgot a few things: I didn't tell her Michael Crawford says he owes his fabulous career to Gene Kelly or mention what Patricia Wilson had to say about working with the Hollywood legend in "Take Me Along." Also forgot about his dance assistants, Coyne and Haney, being totally loyal to GK. Indeed, one of them was head over heels in love with him. I don't know why some people insist on spreading this nonsense; I suspect it's because he's very sexy and his choreography is sensual. Sexy is not in vogue these days and always suspect. Some seem intent on making him the face of Classic Hollywood's Me Too. As you know, nothing could be further from the truth. In a world of Bob Fosses, be a Gene Kelly. Cheers!

Ah, the whole purpose of my Mostlydaydreaming Tumblr & YouTube channel. When I discovered Gene Kelly (thru YouTube videos!) I loved him🥰 When I started trying to learn more, there’s a top layer of nothing but Debbie Reynolds quotes and a Cyd Charisse quote taken out of context.

When I dug deeper I found a wonderfully complex man with a huge heart. Faults and weaknesses? Of course, everyone has them. He had a white hot drive to succeed, to prove himself and leave his mark on the world. But he was also an honorable, loyal and loving family man. Yeah he could be hard to work with, but I knew he was more than that. I wanted to defend him.

That’s why I’ve posted interviews from other people who had a completely different view of him: Leslie Caron, Mitzi Gaynor, Cindy Williams, Michael Crawford, Rita Hayworth, Paula Abdul, Betty Garrett, Vera Ellen, etc. etc. etc.

I’ve tried to deal with haters before.

I remember posting a long answer, with links to interviews, articles, videos, trying to show them a different point of view. But all I got was a short smart ass answer that infuriated me, leading to me block them and take down my GK rant. I’m not getting baited again. You did ok. Offer things for them to check out, like YT interviews, and move on. You can lead a horse to water…🤷🏻‍♀️

All most people do is google him and read the first few pages of the same Debbie Reynolds stories and the same negative (usually incomplete) anecdotes:

Debbie’s horrible “french kiss” from Gene. First, this was likely a misunderstanding. It was on camera, it’s not like he trapped her in a dressing room. No other co-star ever claimed that Gene was sexually inappropriate in any way. This kiss was in the final scene. The rest of the kisses in the movie were chaste and he likely wanted a big kiss for the finale, like he had in a few of his other movies. He knew she had practiced screen kissing with another actor, like Judy Garland had done with him for his first movie. He probably didn’t think she would freak out like she did.

Debbie’s bleeding feet & Fred Astaire teaching her how to dance. First bleeding feet is nothing new to dancers. Ginger Rodgers danced with Fred Astaire with bleeding feet but you didn’t hear her bitch about it. Second, Fred Astaire didn’t teach her how to dance (I see this reported a lot). He let her watch him rehearse, which he normally didn’t do. He did it so she could see how much work dancing was, even for him. She watched him get frustrated and even throw his cane. All so she would know, if this is what she wanted to do, this was how much work it was going to take.

Cyd Charisse’s comment about how her husband knew who she danced with because if she danced with Gene she’d be black & blue. No she wasn’t implying Gene beat her! Gene was more physical than Fred with lifts and such, that’s all. They always forget her other comment when people tried to get her preference between the two: They were like apples & oranges, they were both delicious😘

The competitive dinner parties. I’m sorry, it was Gene’s house and he could put on any kind of party he wanted. He liked informality (He and Betsy knew when strangers came because they were the only ones who knocked) He liked sports and competitions. If you don’t like that stuff, don’t go!!! The people who complained most weren’t even real friends of Gene & Betsy at all, but people who tried to use them and their parties to get close to other influential people.

He only wanted young women. Again, most people only look at the surface on this one. Yes, his 1st wife Betsy was 17 when he married her and even younger than that when they started dating. But his girlfriend before her was in her early 20s. (Per articles I’ve found, they were either engaged or very near).

When Betsy left him, she was in her 30s (he in his 40s) and by all accounts, he didn’t want a divorce. If he wanted a younger one, it was the perfect time. But 2nd wife Jeannie was also in her 30s while he was in his 40s. No robbing the cradle there. After Jeannie died, in the late 70s and early 80s he dated women like older actress Jean Simmons and Tony Bennett’s separated ex, Sandra. Not excessively young. As for his 3rd wife, she did have what all his wives had, intelligence. They both loved words and literature. We may question her motives but Gene didn’t pick dumb bimbos. But to say he only wanted much younger women wasn’t true.

And he didn’t just seek young women to take advantage of them. Betsy loved telling the story of how when they dated and she tried to push for more than hugs and kisses, he reminded her that she was still too young for all that.

MAJOR FNAF MOVIE SPOILERS, JUST GETTING SOME THOUGHTS OUT BC IM GOING INSANE

I wasn't sure about it at first, but the more I think ab it, the more I actually really love the whole "Vanessa being Afton's daughter" thing???

I mean, it was basically clued in from the moment she turned up-she had a knowledge of the pizzeria and a love for it. She knew of the history and its happenings, she knew what springlocks were and was clearly letting on more than she said. She was always concerned ab Abby's safety, to the point where she literally threatened to shoot Mike if he brought her around the pizzeria again. It was all so obvious, and yet I never even put two and two together until after the movie.

When the two of them (Mike and Vanessa) are both sitting near the river/creek/whatever the hell it is, the camera lingers on her as Mike talks ab what he and his family did before all went to hell. You just know exactly what she's thinking.

The reveal, god the reveal. Not even just the reveal that her father was Afton, the reveal of that the kids' bodies were inside the animatronics. Of course she would know-she's a cop, and she knows her father better than anyone else. The screaming of children as the camera shows each of the animatronics is simply so haunting.

The shots of her staring at the childrens' drawings, that's when you see the tragedy and devastation of all that's happened really hit her. It's all dawning on her, something she's ignored and locked away, it's all coming to light and hitting her.

Then the reunion. The reunion of a sick man and his daughter. She's been covering his horrific misdeeds for years now, still loyal to him as most children are to their parents, but seeing the bond between Mike and Abby and the toll Garrett's kidnapping has taken on Mike, she stands up to him.

As he turns around she grabs his arm, determined to not let him take another child's life.

And he stabs her.

And all she can do it whisper "dad", then fall to the ground.

But Matthew Lillard does smth absolutely amazing-he has a very small look of regret and remorse, before snapping back to what he was doing. But that look of regret, the look of a father realizing he just stabbed his own daughter before going back to his original plan-it's haunting.

Even though he was angry at her for her lies, her relationship to the man who took his brother, and everything in between, Mike still gets her up and to a hospital.

Mike visiting her in the hospital is heartbreaking. He can only hold her hand and hope she gets better. Abby-who has formed an almost sisterlike relationship with Vanessa-asks Mike if he told Vanessa hi for her. (Fuck I'm gonna start crying if I keep talking ab it)

I wasn't sure ab not having Mike be William's child at first. But seeing this and really thinking ab it, I think making Vanessa his daughter was a great choice. I really hope Vanessa comes back for the almost-nearly-guaranteed sequel. I have a very good feeling that she will (I mean she's basically the Michael Afton of this iteration) but either way I need her back.

There's so much I can say ab this movie as it was absolutely incredible, but this dichotomy of Vanessa and William and the tolls that William's actions have taken on Mike truly stuck out to me.

Anyway Vanessa is the character of the FNAF movie and I love her and I support both her rights and her wrongs. Elizabeth Lail you are amazing and ACAB for everyone except for Vanessa and Judy Hopps

(Also that part after Foxy is hunting Abby and Vanessa pulls Abby out of the ballpit into a hug, relieved that nothing has happened to her? Heartwarming af)

Meet the Team

We are a small but mighty team of just 5 but I have to say we have excelled at our work here, with of course the amazing, tireless support of the Inner Wheel ladies.

Judy Dryden is the daughter of the Murray and Margaret Dryden who started sleeping children just over 50 years ago. She is a tireless volunteer with Scaw and, retired nurse and mother of 2. Judy is just now back in full action after being diagnosed with COVID on our second day.

Sue Small is our Assistant lead, retired kindergarten teacher extraordinaire. She certainly had to step up and did an amazing job as Assistant leader covering with Judy out! She worships at the House of Nature, loves to seek advice from trees and wanders the world endlessly without a timeline.

Marg Garrett from Canmore, Sue's partner in travel loves to be behind the camera, or at the computer keyboard. A very involved Nan and daughter to her 100 year old Mom. She is another seasoned Scaw volunteer who also involves herself in many other charity organizations.

Kelly Dodson

Another world traveller who aims to travel to more countries than her age is a mother of 3 very busy children from Mississauga. I may be on one of her distributions in the future as I see Team Lead in her future. Another seasoned traveller she will be returning to Africa next month to do a gorilla trek in Rwanda.

And me......on the bus, in the seat I keep warm for hours each day!
