PETRE AND THERIAN EATS

- Meat eaters / Carnivores

Steak, beef, sausage, chicken, and pork centered meals!

Meal ideas: Pigs in a blanket, sushi, turkey, ham, salmon, jerky.

Animals that fit: Wolves, lions, tigers, cats, polar bears, walrus.

- Plant eaters / Herbivores

Salad, steamed vegetables, zucchini flowers, sprouts,

Meal ideas: Salads, guacamole,

Animals that fit: Gorillas, Deer, Camels, Horses, Reptiles, elephants

- Meat + Plant eaters / Omnivores

Meal ideas: Most well rounded meals contain Both meat and plants!

Animals that fit: Dogs, bears, pigs, raccoon, coyotes, boars, birds, mice.

- Fruit Eaters

Tea, fruits, fruit Juice,

Meal ideas: Fruit salads, Apple (fruit) Pie, tea, jam/jelly

Animals that fit: Horses, bats, birds, bugs, foxes, mice.

- Nut + Seed eaters

Crackers, Any edible nuts, pecans, Raisins, chips, sesame seeds, circus peanuts, wafers, corn

Meal ideas: Pecan pie, peanut butter, rice

Animals that fit: Chipmunks, birds, squirrels

- Insect/Bug eaters

Bug Candies, fried insects, mealworms.

Meal ideas: Grasshopper bacon bits, Garlic grasshopper mix, worm salt margaritas, Worm tacos, Critter fritters.

Animals that fit: Spiders, frogs, lizards, armadillos, bats, carp, opossums.

For bug/insect eating animals who don’t want to actually eat anything bug related but would like to still feel connected feel free to eat the following!

Raisins - similar shape and size!

Beans - Similar in shape and size.

FLYING / WINGED THERIANS AND PETRE’S

Having trouble with Phantom limbs? ( therian related )

Wear a jacket or cape! It can help with the feeling of a something on your back (ie, wings)

Make wings out of something else! — they’re tons of tutorials online :D

Wear fingerless gloves and / or long nails for the feeling of claws.

Wear feathers ( do research of wearing feathers first, in many cultures it is much more significant)

Make a mask! They’re tutorials online for this as well.

Made you a specific type of flying / winged therian ? Here’s some ideas below!!

Birds!!

- make a beak or wings for yourself!

- Eat food that birds eat

- Practice vocals (caws, chirping, humming, etc !! )

- Make your own nest out of blankets, or leaves outside

Insects or Bugs!!

- Make wings or a stinger for yourself

- Eat foods that bugs / insects eat

- Practice vocals (buzzing, tisp, etc)

There’s no “right-way” to be a therian. Do what makes you feel comfortable and happy.

Quadrobics !! ( Otherwise known as Quads )

Q: Why do some therians choose to do this ?

A: Since many animals move in such way it can feel very connecting to do so!

Other activities!! ( general )

Painting with water colors

Researching the animal you feel most connected too!

Go bone hunting (going out into the forest or nature like area searching for bones of animals!)

Make a therian mask

Make a playlist of music or videos that make you feel good or connected to your animal(s)

Watch animal documentaries

Draw a paw into your hand

Dig holes in sand or dirt and out things in it

For more animal specific activities go below!

For you hunters out there here are a few ideas:

- Tag, hide n’ seek ( requires another person )

- Scavenger hunts

- spot the difference or seek-and-find books (like where is waldo !)

For fish or oceanic therians:

- Play in water (outside at a pond/Lake or in a bath)

- Go swimming, surfing, fishing

- Play with bubbles

Flying Therian Activities:

- Play with a kite

- Catch bubbles

- Stick you head/hand/etc out the window and of a car and feel the wind pass by you (do it safely!!!)

- Make wings ! (Draw the on you or make them out of stuff)
