       ❝ I KNOW THAT. ❞ and the truth is, she does. her parents have said things about aides for as long as she can remember. it’s part of the reason she’d been so curious when the goddess had introduced herself. all those stories, and now the woman herself is there, in front of her. now, a couple of dates conversations later, she worries that aides thinks persephone believes the stories.

apocalypse au: oh dear. i'm sorry--you've been through a lot haven't you? you've probably read quite a few fix-it fics and you're tired of producers / authors killing your favs. the dead gays trope strikes again! on the other hand, you also really love the idea of you and a s/o together against the rest of the cruel world, just the two of you. shakespeare would approve of the romantic tragedy theatrics, 10/10

a couple persephone!verse headcanons:

this verse is made in conjunction with the amazing greek myth verse @vorcotec has come up with. her aides is my persephone’s ‘canon’ spouse. they have a very loving relationship. persephone married aides willingly and is very content in her marriage. while she misses certain things about the surface during winter, she considers the underworld home.

she may seem cute and cuddly, and most of the time she is, but if you mess with people or things she loves, she will not hesitate to utterly obliterate you. yes, she loves her flowers, but she controls decay as well as growth. she is not a goddess to be messed with, and not just because her wife is scary.

she normally has white hair. it will get a bit blonder during the summer, regaining some of its color, but it will quickly go back to normal when she returns to the underworld.

she’s definitely a romantic. because she has such a positive and loving relationship with aides, she is a big proponent of any relationship she feels reflects that. she doesn’t often ask her wife to let souls out of the underworld, but if your story moves her enough, she will ask for you to have a chance.

as stated previously, persephone considers the underworld her home. she has plenty of thoughts and beliefs about how it should be run. while she respects the fact that aides is there year round and she isn’t and she entirely trusts her wife’s judgement, she is also more observant and outwardly compassionate than aides so during fall/winter when she’s there, grievances will often first be presented to her and she’ll then talk them over with aides.

when she’s on the surface, she’ll spend as much time as she can with artemis because artemis understands what it’s like to a. be the gay sibling and b. what it’s like to be a self-sufficient woman. she doesn’t feel judged with artemis the way she does with the rest of the surface gods. this is why hunters and the wildlife are often so intertwined.
