DENIMEのバナーデニムとは　　その1

昨年、純国産デニム生誕50周年というタイミングで、ウェアハウスによる新生ドウニームの誕生が大きな 話題を呼んだ。

最初にリリースした のは、1998年のドゥニーム創業 当時のクラボウによるデニムのレシビをもとに、ウエアハウスが培った 技術も注入して、再現とアップデー トをしたデニム°1990年代にフ アツションシーンを席巻したドゥニ ームを見事に復活させつつ、 ヴインテージ感を強めた風合いに当時を知るドゥニームファンからも大 好評を得た 。

そして今年、新たなデニムシリーズが発表される。それが「✕✕シリ ーズ」だ。当時を知るドゥニームファンからも待望のXXデニムは、さらにウエアハウスならではのノウハウが注ぎ込まれている。なんとウェ アハウスの代名詞である戦前のリーバイスのデニムバナーをもとに、その糸の分析からすべてをクラボウに委ねたのである。

 それはつまり「ドウニームのためのバナーデーニム」として開発されているという事だ。

今回はその開発秘話を、キーマンであるクラボウインターナ���ョナルの宮崎さん に伺った。

宮崎さん(以降宮)、ドゥニームのデニムといえば「クラボウが その原材料であるコットンから織り上げまで、すべての工程を担っていることはすでに広く知られていますが、今回の「XXシリーズにおいては、ゼロレベルーからスタート。

ウエアハウスさんが所有する「バナーデニムをクラボウによって徹底解析するところから、その企画は始まりました。

What is DENIME's banner denim?

Last year, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the birth of pure domestic denim, the birth of the new DUNIME by Warehouse attracted a great deal of attention.

The first release was a reproduction and update of denim based on a denim recipe by Kurabo at the time of DUNIME's founding in 1998, with technology developed by Warehouse.The denim with a more vintage feel has been well-received by the denim fans who knew it in the 1990s.

This year, a new denim series is being introduced. This year, a new denim series, "O✕ Series", was launched. The XX denim series has been highly anticipated by Doonim fans, and now Warehouse has added another layer of expertise to the line. The XX denim is based on the prewar Levi's denim banner that is synonymous with Warehouse, and everything from the thread analysis was entrusted to Kurabo.

 In other words, it was developed as a "banner denim for doughnim.

In this interview, we asked Mr. Miyazaki of Kurabo International, the key person behind the development of the banner, about the secret story behind the banner.

Mr. Miyazaki (hereinafter called "Mr. Miya"), when it comes to denim for Duneem, says, "It is already widely known that Kurabo is in charge of all processes from the raw material cotton to the weaving process, but for the XX series, we started from the zero level.
