Truthfully, when Astrid did go to her mom with the ring, and she told her more about her father - she didn't neglect to mention that his enemies included her half brother who tried to kill her when she was a baby. Any other details were left out of the story, so, yeah - she could very well have left out a lot. But it was something she didn't need or want Kalyan to know about. Though she rolled her eyes when he stated that she thought of his human half as a weakness. Seeing how her stepfather overthrew the Crimson King of Wonderland and she admires him dearly - she never thought of humans as weak, not by a long shot. "You're here 'cause I'm sure you're too stubborn to die and neither demons nor angels want to deal with you." She murmured under her breath, not caring if he heard or not.
What she was more focused on was what he said next. He didn't plan on leaving you. So, then what drew him away from her and kept him from returning at least to Astrid? Asher has always been Ginevra's true love, but what was so horrible that kept Astrid's real father away from her? "First of all, what the hell do you mean? Why did he leave if he wanted to stay with me?" Well, there goes trying to keep her little knowledge about her father from the other. "Secondly, there has to be more than you being born a male a reason why he left you and his true love. And THIRDLY, a bunch of people gets abandoned by their parents but they don't go on murdering sprees!"
The last thing Astrid wanted or needed was another brother, especially one so hot-headed and hated the world too much. No, the only reason why she wanted to find him was to know more about their father. Yes, she knew it would probably be a bad idea but she had to know about her...their dad. So, far it's barely working and yes, she is definitely regretting it. Though as her nose flared at what he said about her mom, she watched him closely, not daring to take her eyes off of him and not moving an inch as he stepped closer. She didn't want to lose sight of whatever he was planning on doing with that ball of energy swirling in his hand. She was starting to gain some energy back herself, but she didn't want to do another round with him.
Astrid's features soften when he went on to explain how Azazael takes away his happiness. She was starting to wonder how much of it is the truth but then she also remembered that Kalyan didn't have any reason to lie to her. But before she had the chance to ask, she had to dodge that stupid ball of energy. Luckily she did, just barely - it only scaped, more like burned her right arm but it wasn't going to cause any permanent damage. "Is it so hard to have just a conversation with you, without dodging killing energy balls?" She murmured. Her blood started to boil when he thought it was a good idea to threaten her family.
"Leave my family out of this, they have nothing to do with your misery!" Well, perhaps her mother, but her stepdad, and brothers had nothing to do with it. She wasn't even sure her mom told Asher about who her father was or even about Kalyan. Now, she knew it was better to never allow any of her family members alone - she had to keep them safe. "Please be joking. If I had any contact with him, I wouldn't be here talking to you trying to get more information about him!"
Taking a deep breath, she straightened up again taking off the ring she found in her mother's cabin of her right ring finger. "This is the only thing I have of his. The only connection I have to him - my mom only told me bits and pieces about him, only barely mentioned you." She went on, getting ready to call the sword out if she needed to dodge another one of his attacks. "I just wanted to know more about him, not try to fight for my own life. That's it and you don't ever have to see me again. Or come near my family and me after this."
@indeeperwater Continued from here.
Kalyan had little time to perfect many of his own powers. As he was always being hunted by those that had sought to destroy his kind, the Nephilim. So he was not as strong as he should be where that was concerned. Also, as their father had abandoned him for being born a 'male' as he only wished to tend to his daughters. Of course, Kalyan was angry, of course Kalyan was weak. At least where his father was concerned. But his mother, his mother did her best. Protected him when he was still young, taught him her necromancy, but she could not teach him about his angelic side.
Of course, Astrid downplayed it, she got everything, and he got nothing. That was how he had seen it all those years go. She was free of the hunting, being born in another world, with a different god. Perhaps a more merciful one. As she spoke so confidently in all her ignorance, he laughed “Are you stupid? Did you forget some parts of the story, or did your mommy forget to tell you? How convenient. Hm?” He was the one who had let Ginevra hurt him, more or less, seeing his folly. His actions were for nothing, not that either of those two bitches cared. A bitch, who raised another bitch, to be just like her, was none of his concern these days “You're waters don't fuck with me, cunt.” Kalyan smirked and pushed himself up to be straighter “My human half may be a weakness, to you. But I'm still here, because of it.”
Kalyan was of course, exhausted with conversations like this “He didn't plan on leaving you, though. He seen I was a male and left. He wanted to stay with you! There's a fucking difference, bitch.” He hisses through clenched teeth “Because. He needs to pay for what he did. This is his fault! He did it on purpose! You weren't there. When he told me, on his rare visits, to always insult me! That he hated me, that he wished I were born a girl! And that my birth turned him away from the one person he really loved, my mother. He despised me for just existing! Just like that fucking god he served!” Kalyan informed, narrowing his gaze, his gold-tinted blood still spilling onto the ground.
“That stick up my ass, is justice. And I'm going to pay it forward, to everything he has loved, if I must. Maybe till he's fucking dead, if I got to go that far. You're just fodder. Sorry. But he did not set us up for the sibling duo you're trampling on right now. You don't understand, and I'm not interested in you enough to explain it! AGAIN!” He paused, taking a few breathes, blood dripping from his mouth “Your bitch mother should have raised you better, hm? Should have told you all of this instead of making me the enemy. I'm just another product of our fucked up parentage, just like you.”
Holding out his right arm, he twirled his hand, energy forming into a ball there “Are you still on your mommy's leash?” Kalyan asked, looking amused, walking closer to her “You are, aren't you?” He turned his head as she went on talking about whatever flowery bullshit morning cartoon 'don't bully' ad she was living in. Some hands across the world bullshit, if you asked him. He had lived since the dawn of humankind and never seen anything more ridiculous than all of humanity majorly, collectively, agreeing, to be whiney little bitches as these modern humans thrived on. No spines, all wobbly, convictions in the trash, they never really stood for anything 'hard' to deal with. They crumbled more than anything, and listening to his sister yammer only reminded him of how his world needed people like him, even if it as hard to deal with someone like him. “I have lived for thousands upon thousands of years, Astrid, I've found happiness more times than I can count. But that man, he comes and destroys it every time. Do you get it? Now?” Turning his head, he looked a little crazed “He takes from me, as my 'punishment', and I can ever stay in place, because the god he anger, wants me dead. I don't get to be happy.” He wondered if it was Asher who played a part in her being so soft-headed. He should have killed that halfwit when he had the chance, he thought. Lifting his right hand up, he hurled the green ball of fire that had formed in it, at Astrid. “Maybe, I'll kill your entire family, and leave you alive, to watch, and then I'll kill you in front of our father, so he can watch you die. Just before I kill him, too! But that's more for dramatics, seeing as he doesn't care about you, or me, yeah? So why then, did you come here?! Did he put you up to this?!”

☔ (For anyone)
Send ☔ for our muses to have a spontaneous fuck in the rain
Ada x
It was hard to be a total different person than what you’re used to, at least now Ada has done it twice but there was always something nagging at her…or more like someone nagging at the back of her mind and it wasn’t who she thought it was but someone she never believed she’d actually miss. Whether it was those damn colored eyes - or the smirk that seemed to be plastered on their lips and in her mind, it was more than just her body that craved for the other but her mind ached for them as well. Only problem being, she was terrified of what they might say to her, might do if she was actually honest on how she really felt…what she really thought of them. Her own father wanted her and the only other guy that she fell for, cheated. Was she really that unwanted? That unliked? What if they wanted nothing to do with her? Minds are a cruel place to be stuck in, so, she decided to quit her pity party from staring out the window and snuggled up with a mug of coffee and actually decided to do something for a change. She just threw on some shoes and decided to go for a walk, only having one place mind - not even the threats from the thundering sky deterred her from her one-track mission. Though her pounding heart when she saw the other, might have - suppose that was when she grew grateful that her body reacted before her mind could. When she got close to them, she tugged on their arm and pulled them around the corner into an alley - giving neither of them to really react, she pushed him up the brick wall and kissed them. She couldn’t help it - this is basically the only things she knows how to do. She wasn’t good at making friends or the first thing about actually being a decent human being. All she did know was that she couldn’t make it any longer without seeing the other. If anything for one last time.

Lords! And she thought Briar could be obnoxious. He was nothing compared to the other. However, she couldn't lie and say that what she was doing wasn't stupid because coming here alone without truly perfecting her fighting skills was beyond idiotic. Still, she had to follow her lead before it went cold and she was training with one of Lyra's pack members on hand-to-hand combat enough to be confident enough to venture out on her own. Or so she thought.
Astrid perfected the powers she had from her mother since she was a child, but it wasn't enough for her - not by a long shot, so, once she found more about Azazael - she realized there was more than just learning how to control water that she needed to go out and find him. Though it wasn't Azazael the ring led her to, the man that tried to kill her when she was only a newborn, her half-brother Kalyan.
"Like you could. You couldn't even kill me when I was a baby. Fat chance of you being able to kill me now." She retorted, not in the slightest scared of him. Once Astrid told her mom that she knew who her father was, Ginevra finally told her everything - including her half-brother coming to take her to draw out their father and mourn the loss of his daughter. Which clearly, didn't work. "He left us both and what good would killing him do? Maybe if you weren't so obsessed with a fool's errand, you wouldn't have such a large stick up your ass!"
Blood was trickling down her face and arms and she knew she was going to be in massive pain once the adrenaline wore off, but she'd gladly take the physical pain over the mental one she was going to endure when she got home and her mother finds her in such a way. Astrid learned how to control the water, but never learned the healing powers it hold - that was always her mother's specialty. "Do you seriously want to live with nothing but hate and misery? There has to be more you want than just wanting a mission you can never achieve!" After all, their father was a fallen and impossible to find. Suppose she should have listened to her mother when she said, You will never find Azazael - if he wants to see you, he will find you.
"Why did I think this was a good idea?"
Breaking Point Starters
“Stupidity would be my best bet?” He panted, blood trickling down from one side of his mouth. Of course, he thought that part of it all was over by now. It had been years since he last had such a confrontation as the current one. He had been in several relationships, married once. But for someone like him, someone nearly, if not entirely, immortal, by now. These things were merely small drips in the waters of eternity. Kalyan stumbled away, blood dripping from his side onto the ground, tinted in gold, the way they said god blood would be if spilled. But still red enough to be mistaken for human. As he was the child of an angel and a mortal, twisted, hunted to near extinction by now.
His eyes fluttered before a wave of weakness suddenly washed over him. Again he stepped away, hitting a surface “Is that your plan this time? Hm? You finally realize what I've known all this time? There can't be real peace.” Kaylan pauses “Not as long as he lives.” Turning his head away then, he gripped onto the ring in his palm, smirking a little down at it, at least he had gotten that now. Kalyan just had to hope to get away from this situation, before it got any more dire. The hunters were still after him, even after all this time. He had to keep moving. As he had always been made to do “Is that all you came here for? Hm? You know this was a bad idea- I could kill you. I might still!” He hissed the old anger coming back to the surface.

Unexpected Events || Kalyan & Ginevra
@tancred-the-librarian
Pregnancy had always been unexpected, though having a kid with a demon - well that was just a total left field shocker. Not like she wasn’t happy about being pregnant. She was just scared. What if this child had the same one as her first child. Could she go through a second miscarriage? The way she was now taking care of herself - was enough proof she wasn’t strong enough. Every night she wrapped her arms around her stomach as if she was keeping any harm to come to her new baby.
This time - she did her job right considering she was now laying in a hospital bed pushing her hardest for her daughter to be born - to finally become a mother. And hearing her baby’s crys - a smile and laugh of relief crossed Ginevra’s lips. She was exhausted but her daughter being placed in her arms, woke her up. A sense of responsibility coursing through her. She held on tightly - vowing to forever protect her precious little one.
-
A few months had passed and Ginevra struggled to be a a good, study mom for her daughter but it was a lot harder than she could imagine. Barely getting any sleep especially when the baby cries every few hours for either a changing or because she’s hungry, and than needs to be changed again. Ginevra was exhausted by the end of the day and took her minute naps whenever it was granted to her.
However, Ginevra found if she sings to her daughter - than it was easier for hem both for the little one to go to sleep, no tears, just milk and Ginevra’s voice. It was simple and she enjoyed watching how at ease her daughter was. Peaceful and beautiful.
“I love you, Astrid. I will never allow any harm come to you.”

Kalyan’s mother had been sitting at his side. If there was one motherly thing she was able to do, it was to be vengeful when someone had attacked her one and only child. Even if the both of them had been thousands of years old. Even if she had been very neglectful. She had been doing it for what she thought was best for him. As was a case most parents suffered from. Now her child hadn’t been in such a position as he was laying in a hospital bed, in a coma. A hand reached out, petting through his hair as she listen to the machines monitoring his vitals. Holding his hand in hers she traced her thumb over his palm. They had been chilly, his entire body had not regained it’s divine heat, making her think that he was slipping away. Staring at him she narrowed her eyes before looking toward Ada as the girl came into the room, introducing herself.
“ Ada? You…found him. Ah. Well, thank you for getting him to this hospital in an efficient manner.” Pulling away from Kalyan she sat back in the chair sat at his bedside. Still staring at Ada, she continued “ Most people I can’t imagine, would.” It was fair to say that Kalyan’s mother might have had issues with mortal’s. Though having been attacked by them for the last few thousands years, do to her son’s divine predicament. After all, the Nephilim weren’t favored by the angelic. God had wanted them hunted down and completely destroyed. It took a lot of toll to get them both this far. But there had always been little chances, like the one that had allowed this to happen. Sitting up straight, she offers a smile to the other woman then “ I get a sense that you are not sharing the entire story, Ada.” The woman had skipped to, bluntly ignoring the custom of letting Ada keep her secrets.
Of course she didn’t know much of her son’s friends. But she was thousands of years old and a necromancer, or a witch…Whichever one was more convenient at that moment. In any respect, she could tell a liar, or someone hiding the entire story of an incident. Drumming her fingers along the arm rests of the chair she nods “ My son can take a lot of damage– Who ever did this to him,…Must have one tough son of a bitch.” The older woman went on, not letting Ada try and justify herself. She simply, didn’t care about a simple mortals needs of secrecy. Holding out a hand she gestures to the other chair in the room “ Go on, sit. I’m sure he will love more than just me for company. After all, he can’t even stand to live with me, still going through that rebellious phase. I suppose.” At Ada’s question she blinked, thinking over the doctors words before giving a small nod.
“ They say that he has a very high chance of that. But if not…He might have a damaged spine.” She gave a hapless shrug, however. Seeing as wounds weren’t a big problem to the divine. The woman looked back toward Kalyan then “ It seems he’s more attuned to making enemies, more than friends. Such a silly boy he has always been. Now he’s a temperamental man, probably gets it from his father. Or is trying to hell, even get any sort of attention from that wretched man, by showing that he’s not so soft as I am. Probably because his father is disgusted by what I am not, for him.”
Intimidation was a funny thing, someone could scare you into admiration of them or just completely scare the shit out them. Kalyan's mom? Well, let's just say she can see the personality similarities but with the older woman, it was impossible to make eye contact with her whereas with Kalyan - she couldn't stop looking in his eyes. Don't get her wrong he still held the same intimidation that his mom holds that makes Ada avert her eyes, but somehow it was just different intimidation at the same time. It was when she called the broken girl out on her bullshit about knowing him a bit more than just somehow who conveniently passed by his bleeding out body, though she was glad that she also changed the subject before she told her to take a seat.
Ada only smiled at what the other said. "I don't think I'll be the better company." Considering the last Kalyan and Ada encounter of a screaming match, in public, no less. The last thing she was sure he didn't want was to see her. She still pondered what she ever expected to come of them, why she was so drawn to him, why she had craved to feel his touch practically all the time. The browned eyed girl looked over his defenseless, sleeping body. He seemed so much more peaceful when he was sleeping. Though her attention averted back to his mother when she spoke out to answer her question on if he was going to make a full recovery.
Ada imagined Kalyan nothing less than perfectly invincible because yes, he always acted as such but watching him mere death, or to Ada, it was as such, changed her outlook on him. He was still a dick - that was a given but then again. So was she.
Looking over at the woman as she spoke about her son making more enemies than friends, Ada could only smile because it was something apparent - to everyone but hearing someone else say it other than her, and it being his mom. Only confirmed her thoughts of him wanting nothing from anyone. However, the small grin dropped at the mention of his father - the man she only assumed to have been in the waiting room. Kalyan got his mother's intimidation structure but to Ada, Kalyan got his father's better than everyone stand. At least she knows now that she wasn't the only one with father issues, but clearly different ones.
Failing to realize Ada resorted back into her own head, the only way she found out she did - was the last thing she said. 'Probably because his father is disgusted by what I am not, for him.' So, Kalyan didn't exactly say those words but still implying being something much more than human. Just as the sense of uneasiness washed over her. There was definitely something not adding up. She thought it was Kalyan just being Kalyan! Acting as if he was God's damn gift to the world, but what if he was actually being serious? Of course, she didn't have an inkling as to what he really is but she was only now believing that he was...is something.
It was enough said that this family interested her a little more now, though, even Ada knew that she had to be careful - walk on her tiptoes around them. Looking over Kalyan, she started to chew the inside of her cheek, trying to be careful with the next thing she said as she looked over at the other, "Do you believe in angels...guardian angels?" The only thing she could remember was Kalyan telling says the mortal who has needed their entire existence protected by guardian angels. Suppose this was her weak way of verifying of what he was saying...might be true.

Staring at her when she went silent, Kalyan waited for Ada to say anything. However when she laughed he gave a glare to her, listening as she spoke. Some mortals could be disgusting. Ada earned a laugh from him though, when she spoke on. Bringing a balled up hand to his mouth he cleared his throat and glanced away from her “Impossible.” He muttered then waved his hand “ Go on though, I live to hear of your perversions.” Kalyan grinned and let her go. When she tried to make fun of him for only using three moves he nods “ Wow. You know what, that does sound boring. Makes me wonder just how good those moves are. Since here you are, saying you love me and coming back for those three moves time after time.” He tilts his head slightly to one side and gives her a cunning little shit eating smile “ And it’s called preference, mortal…Maybe I think any other move is pointless and more so distracting from the feeling, of having me just reeming your wet cunt.”
He gave a slight shrug of a shoulder then before letting the other continue to try and intimidate him, or whatever in the hell she was attempting at this point “ Besides, you have one move, so don’t AT me about anything.” Kalyan said off handedly as she was starting to talk again. His eyes shifting around them as he watched people glance at them, giving a grin to them, before knocking his head toward them. As Ada then finished with her excuse he rolled his eyes “ Says the mortal who has needed their entire existence protected by guardian angels. Their decedents guarded by angels. Who- you got to wonder, if they even fucking like you mortals. With all the troubles you cause yourselves. It’s like protecting a male spider from a female it just mated with. Practically impossible.” Giggling, he points to her “ But thank you for your…insightful and berating ramblings. I think, however, I’ll just keep doing what ever it is I like, since it’s my life and not yours.” Winking to her then he poked a finger into her forehead.
“ And I am not a pathetic mortal. I am only partially pathetic. Exempt from such trite mortal nonsense that constricts you to your kind.” Kalyan raised his hands then in a ‘so what’ way “ So want to go to my place or yours for some boring sex?”
Why was Ada arguing about their sex life in public, well to be honest - she wasn’t sure but she did know one thing, she was tired of his childish bullshit. Though she still attempted to not let him get the best of her. At least not as much as he already had, but she wasn’t claiming to be the most mature person in the world either. “It’s pretty hard to have more than one move when you are pinned down by the throat, but when I do try to move your grip gets tighter. Which by the way, is one of your lame moves.” She tried to keep her voice down as much as possible and not let the entire roadside hear about her nonexistent bedroom excitement, but it was the irritation and anger in her voice that she couldn’t control - at least not anymore but nor did she want to. Ada Foddien was prepared to be completely done with Kalyan. Whereas before she wasn’t and she’d bite her tongue just to secure still keeping the boy-man around. Now that she doesn’t care - there was no holding her back. Not even the stares she got from strangers.
“What the hell are you even talking about?! Needing guardian angels my entire existence. Do you know how idiotic you sound when you say shit like that? Especially when you keep ranting on about how you are some kind of extraterrestrial being who I should bow down to every time you grace me with your presence.” She nearly slapped his hand away when he poked her forehead but she didn’t, it only prompted her to take a few steps back away from him. She didn’t want to be touched, she didn’t want to feel the heat radiating off of his skin when he gets close, nor get lost his ridiculously attractive eyes. She needed to stay firm in being absolutely done, whipping him out of her life and maybe…just maybe start her new life…with no sex with strangers. “Don’t pretend as you know me nor my family or what I was put through before coming to America because you can never understand my past.”
When she pulled back and looked between his eyes, she huffed a laugh. Not because she found this funny but because she finally, finally saw who he really is. “You know what Kalyan it is your life - your choice to act like a damn child. At this point, I don’t even know what I expected from you, hell I don’t even know what I expected out of myself in this.” Her breathing became harsh, rapid short breathes, she knew she needed to stay this but she had to force herself to keep breathing. “And this will not mean anything to you but I’m finally done, you don’t ever have to worry about me being in your life anymore because I’m done.” She shrugged as she backed away some more. “Have fun finding your new rag doll and have a nice life.”
Finally, she was done, she turned and walked away as fast and as far as she could get her legs to move. A sense of relief washed over her as she got lost in the crowd. Now it was like there was no one and nothing holding her back because she knows what’s she wants, what she deserves and there is no holding her back.
❛ that’s why i love you ! ❜
Kalyan stares at the other as they say that, then makes a face at them, something of disgust “ You love me? Why on earth would you do that to yourself? What thing have I done to be loved?” Raising his eyebrows then he glances up before looking to the side, trying to think about what he had been doing recently. He then laughs “ Is this because of all the fucking? That’s what you mortals tend to fall for these days. You like getting fucked, don’t you? My little slut.” Kalyan places his left hand on his hip then and smirks before leaning in closer to the other “ And now you are using code words to keep me pinned down to you. Huh? Such a human thing to do. Where is your shame little whore?” Kalyan laughed, his right hand moving up to run through his hair.

“Was I speaking a language you don’t understand or something?!” Kalyan snapped at her question, irritation in his tone. From his perspective she had no right to be upset with him. But instead of telling her that he decided he was just going to leave and go do something until he wanted to talk to her again. If he ever felt like it. So he as he lift his phone off the table he moved to turn back but caught the look on the woman’s face as he turned.
When Ada said she wasn’t trying to control him he rolled his eyes “Then what the hell are you doing? Because it’s fucking confusing the shit out of me!” He snapped, brushing off what she had looked like a moment ago. He shift toward the door. But paused once again when she suggested talking. Looking to his phone he made a face then looked at her “If I wanted to murder you it wouldn’t be with a fucking cellphone.” Kalyan said bitterly before turning to her and crossing his arms over his chest, guarded “Fine. You want to talk. Talk. What the hell is going on with you?”
Sighing heavily, Ada looked at the other and the door behind him. "You might as well be because I have no idea what you're talking about!" Though she just wanted to scream louder, she tried to contain her emotions knowing that she even though she despised her father - she was still her father's daughter.
She was watching him leave and everything inside her was screaming at her to not let him go. Which is way out of character from her. She never made someone stay, she just never cares enough. In fact, she was the one ushering them out instead of making them stay inside. Though she couldn't help but roll her eyes a little as she looked away when he told her he wouldn't murder her with a cellphone. Comforting very comforting but she's seen people getting killed with a paper clip. She's seen what people are really capable of and she knew that if he really wanted to - he could murder her just with his fists.
Though it was the last thing he said that made her completely freeze, mouth gaped open a little and her eyes shifting between Kalyan's. What was going on with her? Who was she becoming and why the hell was she chasing him? Releasing the breath she was unaware she was holding she finally dropped her eyes to her feet till she once again sucked in a breath before walking back to sit on a nearby coffee table. Though she continued to look at her feet till she finally shook her head and telling her self....fuck it.
"I...like you Kalyan. There's something about you that just,...draws me in." She said as she looked back up at him and now never looked away from him. Though she could feel her voice getting caught in her throat. "But- there's something in my past that holds me back and....I don't know maybe... Maybe I have been controlling you without even realizing it. I...." Sighing once again just to keep her heart from harshly pounding against its cage, she ran her fingers through her hair realizing now it was hard for her to stop confessing to the one person she knew wouldn't feel the same way. ".... You're right, I shouldn't try to control you but trust me my life is far from being a perfect little box." Ada finally stood taking a step back further away from him and away from the table. "I've never felt this way about anyone before but I still refuse to be that person to beg someone to stay when they clearly don't. So, you can leave and never talk to me again. Not take my...sort of apology and call me a weak human for actually growing feelings for you. I am sorry that you think I've been trying to control you but I'm not sorry for how I actually feel about you...”

Ada watched Kalyan blankless not knowing where this was coming from. Though Ada has seen her fair share of men just losing their cool out of nowhere towards her, something was different with Kalyan. Almost like this time, she did do something to push him over the edge. Though she struggled to remember what she did or said to make him think she was trying to control him. “What the hell are you talking about Kalyan?!” She narrowed her eyes at the other when she eventually could figure it out. Her eyes shifted the object he held up and instantly had a flashback of her own father wacking her with a trophy she won and thought it would make her father proud….which she was dead wrong about.
“I’m not trying to control you…” She said though taming him right now in this moment did cross her mind. “Whatever I did or said, can we please just talk about this like adults and not with potential murder weapons in our hands?”

31. “You don’t control me.”
“You don’t control me.” Kalyan hissed coldly before Inhaling he closed his eyes a moment, calming himself before tossing his hand up and then reaching over to grab something of his up “I don’t fit into your perfect little box you made of what you Wanted me to be. Instead realize, people, or hybrids, are not meant to be placed in boxes other people make for them. Realize I’m not a fucking pet! And you know what, that pisses you off. That you can’t tame me, like one.”

Watching the other girl he could tell she was getting tired of him. Which he didn’t blame her, even his own mother didn’t understand him enough to get what he was talking about. Which often led to her absolutely abandoning him, even from a young age. Because he was always just too much to deal with. Drumming his fingers he watched as she plugged her headphones back in and glanced toward his food before looking away as if he wasn’t bothered. But everything usually was bothering to him. He felt suddenly isolated and unwanted. Which was making him a bit more irritated?
When Ada actually did say something he watched her with curiosity as she spat her words out at him. She had no understanding of what it was like to be forced to interact with so many moronic humans in the thousands of years he’d been alive. If she even had ever bothered to ask him more about himself, maybe he would be more willing to talk to her about life, his life. But that, of course, was not what their relationship was. He didn’t see anything much of her, and she seemed to only seem him as a toy to get fucked by. That did not make a friendship. Kalyan did not know what that made this. And the fact that he had only run into her too, as he had seemed ‘to bug her’, was probably a secret way of telling her he would like to hang out. But of course, humans being so out of tune with anything else around them, Ada had missed this cue.
Sulking for a moment after Ada had left he played with his food for another moment before standing and walking out of the building as well, vanishing right out of sight in a split second. A second later he materialized in front of Ada and smirked at her before reaching out and grabbing her by the neck, his thumb pressing into her throat “I would never go and cry to my mother about anything, Ada. And I think you and I need to have fun. After all, don’t you like it more when your toys bite back?” Kalyan gave small hiss before jerking her close to him “Maybe this toy has been biting a little too softly?” Narrowing his eyes on hers before he threw her to the side and lifted up his right wrist, biting deep into the skin and drawing his half angelic blood. Ripping his mouth away his started saying something in tongue, and threw his arms out letting the blood drip onto the cement under them as he continued to cast.
Ada has no idea what was wrong with Kalyan. She probably will never find out. Yes she was dying to know why he was so against humanity. Even more so than herself. But she wanted to know why if he had such a problem with her than why the hell was he still around her? Still came to her as much as she went to him. However, Ada will never be the person to ask why. Why was he so against people. So against her? Why was he completely closed off to people? Why he closed himself off when at times in his eyes she could see he was desperate for someone to reach out to him - to give him a helping hand. She’d never ask those questions. Why? Because she comes from a background where only questions lead to your death. Painful death.
Sure she deeply, very deeply hoped that eventually Kalyan knew well enough to trust her to open up but he never did. Instead all it was was negative things. Honestly Ada couldn’t do it anymore. Sure she used him as she was sure he used her, but deep down she craved to have that deep connection with him that seemed all to obvious she was never going to have. At least not with Kalyan.
Home wasn’t far but it wasn’t exactly around the corner either. Her mind was set on pulling out her toys tonight, what it wasn’t set on was Kalyan all of a sudden appearing out of thin air in front of her. “What the....” Her eyes went wide as she studied him for a few seconds before looking back at the dinner. Sure she wasn’t exactly jogging but she put some good distance between her and the diner and in order for Kalyan to just show up in front of her, he would have to immediately follow her, which she knows he didn’t. Besides she didn’t see him out of the corner of her eye either.
When she was going to look back at him, he already had his hand wrapped around her throat and his thumb pressing into her throat. “Kalyan....what the hell..?” She dropped her iPhone, causing her headphones to fall out of her ear and just in time to actually hear what he was saying. Sure they rough housed before but there was a thin line between a pleasurable choking and a life threatening choke. This was the latter.
She didn’t understand him - mainly because all her blood was rushing to her ears, once he threw her to the side; she began to cough uncontrollably. It wasn’t long till she could find the strength to lift herself off the ground but when she looked up - it was to see a more frightening Kalyan. She couldn’t understand what was going on or what he was saying now all she did know was that when people draw their own blood, with their teeth and start talking in tongue. You don’t stick around. So, as soon as her legs stopped shaking she ran as fast as she could. As far away as she could.

Saying I love you was rare for Ada unless it was towards her baby sister - but even then it was rare that they ever exchanged “I love you"s. However, saying it out loud to Kalyan wasn’t something she ever planned on and one of the worst things she could have been caught saying to him. Truly she didn’t mean it as it sounded - at least not that she believes - it was just something to say. After all, him going on his pathetic human rants and her naturally getting irritated, that sentence just…slipped. She had completely tensed up but she knew if she told him it was just something to say - he would never allow her to live this down so she decided to just ignore it. Secretly - deep down…way deep down she enjoys it when he says my little slut, but that wasn’t something she’d openly admit to him so she hid the smile that crept on her features which weren’t exactly hard to do anymore as he continued on and called her a whore. Okay, not something she didn’t like as much but something she’s used to. It was just something he says.
Unknowingly, a harsh laugh slipped out as she turned towards him with an entertained smile playing at the corners of her mouth. “If I was to fall in love with you with just sleeping with you-you would have to be absolute, incredibly mind-blowing to where I wouldn’t be able to move the entire next day - and anytime I do move I would still feel you inside of me.” Her eyes narrowed on him as she adjusted her weight. “You have exactly three moves that got old after the second time, the only reason I still want to sleep with you is just praying you would have more tricks up your sleeve but you never do.” The last part was a lie - the reason why she kept coming back was just so she could see him - be near him but again. Not something she can admit to him but her pounding heart made her breathing pick up so she faced away from him and became fascinated with the pen and paper in front of her. “Saying It’s the reason why I love you, was just a stupid attempt to shut you up about how humans are always so pathetic - even though you are one.”

By the time the ambulance had come to the scene Kalyan had already been indefinitely unconscious and unresponsive to any attempts Ada made in keeping him awake. The blood in his body had mostly poured out onto the ground so the paramedics had rushed in trying to gather as many facts as they could about the situation and in keeping Kalyan alive, despite how difficult that was obviously becoming as they were prepping him to be put in the ambulance. After finishing what they needed to do with Ada they had quickly taken off to the hospital they had informed Ada they were going to be taking him to.
After the nurse at the station sent Ada to go wait in the waiting room, hours had seemed to pass by in a matter of moments. After some time a different nurse had approached Ada and informed her that Kalyan was still in critical condition and that she should try again in a week or so. Though as the week went by and Ada would be visiting once again, she was turned away once more. And that had continued week after week, until about six weeks had passed by. Ada had not been told much about Kalyan’s condition, seeing as she wasn’t family. And she hadn’t even considered him to be a friend either.
On this week as Ada came into the hospital and asked of Kalyan though, a nurse had directed her toward the waiting room once again, telling Ada that she would find out anything about Kalyan that she could, and tell her what she was able to soon enough. But that she would need to wait until that time in the waiting room. Ada would have been in the waiting room for about an hour before a man came in and took a seat at the other side of the room. He looked very clean and held himself as if he were the most important thing to ever be in the hospital. With a almost, bored, look on his face he flipped through the pages of the magazine.
As the man sat there, in that seat, in the mostly quiet and empty room with Ada, the sounds of pages flipping from his magazine being perhaps the loudest noise in the entire room. That was until one door swung open and a clearly annoyed woman could be heard asking ‘is he in there, again?’ And a moment later, through the waiting room doors the woman attached to that voice came marching in, over toward the silent well dressed male across from Ada, and struck him against the face before, in the most venomous of tones, saying 'How dare you! –How dare you come, now, of all time’s, and claim you are his father.’
The man gently placed the magazine down before listing his head up to look at the woman. Sharp, amazing blue eyes locking onto the almost completely Asian woman’s eyes and held his gaze there for a moment. He then cleared his throat and turned his head away for saying something like 'I always thought he was strong enough to not need me, and now that this has happened, he does need me.’ The woman still didn’t seemed amused by it and struck him again before warning the man to stay away from her son. With that she turned and marched away from the man to sit in another spot in the room and averting her eyes elsewhere as they waited.
A few minutes later a doctor came in carrying a chart, the elegant looking man remained sitting but the woman had stood saying “ What’s wrong? What happened, is he okay?” She demanded, the doctor gave a confused look, but he had known her “ He is–His surgeries aren’t…going as planned. His skin is often too hard to penetrate through normal means. But as of the moment he is in a much more stable condition and is able to handle a visitor or two, if you and…” The doctor glanced toward the man “His fath-” “Do not worry about that man, that’s not my son’s father. Just a sperm donor who wants to pretend he cares now, of all times, about my son.”
The doctor had looked back after she finished saying that before giving a nod “ Well, Kalyan is resting, we do not plan on him waking up soon. But if you would like to see him then now is a perfectly good time.” She nodded then before moving to walk passed the doctor only to be stopped when the doctor went on “Also, there has been someone asking about your son the last few weeks.” The older woman cut in then, saying “Yes, let friends see him, but NOT that man.” She pointed out that almost divine looking man. He had crossed his arms over his chest then before saying “ You are being ridiculous you know. You have always babied that boy.” With that the woman left, flipping the man off as she had.
It was needless to say but it was damn near frustrating to have been told to just go home whenever she would want to check on Kalyan. Truth? That's all she could think about is if he is okay. She couldn't get that fucked up imagine out of her head. Maybe she shouldn't have but she couldn't help but compare all the scars her father left on her to the ones she only witnessed on Kalyan. Only because she needed him still being alive with the condition she found him in making sense to her. None of it made sense - hell, the man himself never made a lick of sense to Ada at times. Perhaps instead of treating him like a toy, she had spent those times trying to get to know him and figuring him out. However, is it too late now? Is it too late to beg him to remain in her life if anything as just friends? Ada was truly a lost soul and she didn't know if she could ever be found or even just mended. She tried hitting the reset button but she found repeating the same old habits, the dark mysterious man definitely being one of them. What would happen if she never met him? He is the only thing she could think about, even before he was an opened wound in the center of his chest. Would her mind be a bit healthier? Her mind and body would crave to hear his voice and mocking laugh - to feel his strength overpower she only believed she had herself. Suppose she was tired of being the dominating one and it was a nice change to be the submissive more than the dominant.
Before she really could stop herself, she went straight to the hospital after her soccer practice - not bothering to change from her sweaty shorts and shirt, nor changed about how fucked up her hair actually looked, all she cared about was getting to the hospital, hoping today would be the day she got an answer on how he was doing. And on the ride over, she raked her brain to figure out why he never left her mind and why the hell he is so important to her. Maybe she'll never know - but she's a stubborn Russian and won't give in until it's answered. Whether it was just because she's appeared so many times, requesting to see Kalyan that the nurse just told her to take a seat or not but either way, she did as she was told and relaxed into the chair. Pulling up her college classes and scrolling to see if the scores on her quizzes were posted yet. It wasn't like she is the brightest human being, but she definitely knew her shit and is a rather fast learner and graduating college is important to her - it'll be something she was able to accomplish without needing someone else's help, graduating would be she could make this world by herself without having to lean on people so much. Something she thought she'd never grown out of. Though what really drew her attention away was a man walking into the room, the way he held himself, the way he walks, even sat. It was clear he is important or maybe just to himself he thought he was important. But there always something really familiar with the way he did held himself. But it wasn't until she heard a woman scream that she pieced it together. Kalyan's parents and by the way the woman was acting - his father is a shit father as well. Which makes a shit ton of sense. Ada couldn't tare her eyes away nor stop listening - especially when she slapped him but not just once. Fuck, now his distant asshole personality made sense to her now. Just when she sat was when Ada redirected her attention to her folded hands on her lap as her leg started to shake. She still didn't know every single dirty detail between his parents and him but at least now there were somethings about the man that haunted her were slowly piecing together. Russians were rather used to being locked into a rather awkward intensified room but somehow at this moment, it was fucking different. All she wanted was to see Kalyan. Ada wasn't sure how long....or how short it was but when a doctor came out and the woman stood to ask about her son, her attention was solely on the doctor. His surgeries aren't going as planned but he wouldn't bother mentioning the other facts if they expect him to make a recovery right? Though she didn't move when the doctor cleared visitors nor even when his mom said it was okay for friends to visit. She was frozen because she didn't know what to do. Was it because of the small encounter she witnessed between his parents? Was it because his mom actually intimidated her? Or was it just because the truth was all she needed was to hear the doctor say he was going to be okay. She was going with the last option because it was the less embarrassing one so she grabbed her school and sports bag and headed out but she didn't get too far till that fucking imagine and the screams reminded her that she does, in fact, have a heart....and it pulled because he was in pain. "Fuck." It took her a while to find his room and even longer to bring herself to knock on the door and open it. What the hell was she supposed to say? She couldn't just walk in the room and walk out - how weird would that be? She couldn't say she is his friend because that would just be a lie. Everything that was going through her head was just a reason to leave. She got what she wanted all along - to know he is going to be okay, so why is that when she attempted to leave that wasn't nearly enough? Eventually, she drew up some courage and knocked softly on the door before opening it and letting herself in and closed it after her. "Hi - I'm...My name is Ada. I'm - I'm the one who found him and called the ambulance." She said smiling over at the stunning woman. Her heart was racing - she couldn't say why she was so intimidated and scared shitless but now she is locked in - no escaping now. So, she took a step closer and looked over at Kalyan, at least he looked more peaceful asleep. "Is he going to make a full recovery?

Kaylan waited for them to serve him what he ordered, but took a moment to look over at the other. Squinting slightly he watched Ada chew on her straw then looked away, tapping his fingers on his right hand along the counter. He made a face as if he could pick up on just where her mind had gone but had decided to not say anything at that moment. Letting the human continue on he waited for his food and smirked a bit too wickedly.
“Oh…Practice? What were you doing?” He didn’t sound entirely interested in what she said, or what she was about to say. It only seemed as though he were just making conversation. Looking at the food he nods “Right, hungry… You, humans, get like that a lot, don’t you?” Ignoring his own hunger he turned to her “Pathetic. Could you mortals be any weaker?” At her last statement, he gave a nod “Yeah. That is right.” Kalyan said in agreement as the fry hit him. Blinking he sucked in a breath before dipping a fry in the ranch and taking a bite.
Kaylan was a piece of work to figure out - other times, he was an ass she really couldn’t stand. Sometimes she really wondered why she continued to sleep with him. It wasn’t as if she couldn’t sleep with other guys. She continued to eat her food, just ignoring him and his rant on how humans are so pathetic. But yet wasn’t he a human as well?
Ada was about done with her food when Kaylan continued on his exhausting rant. By that time she had enough and paid for her meal before pulling out her iPhone and plugged her headphones back in. “Alright if I’m so boring to be around than go back crying to your mom and leave me alone to my boring human life.” She grabbed her bag and blasted her music as she walked out. Hopefully this was all she needed to get rid of him for good.

“I will.” Kalyan muttered before turning his eyes away “I’m not poor. Or helpless.” Kalyan wasn’t exactly raised to depend on outsiders. In the years he had been alive, which was almost an eternity now, Kalyan had only his mother to count on. Even something as simple as a girl buying him food seemed strange. He never needed anyone to get him things. So when she had offered he felt a bit annoyed. It felt like she in some way thought he was incapable of getting his own. Kalyan tsked as she had quickly made her way into the building.
He followed slowly behind her, arriving after she had finished with her order “I am not a golden boy.” He muttered before gesturing toward one of the numbers on the menu as the person behind the counter asked what he wanted. Getting a regular hamburger and fries “If you can give some ranch, so I can dip the fries in, that would be awesome.” He said before turning to Ada and smirking a bit “So, is someone a little moody today?”
Truthfully Ada thought Kalyan was kidding about actually getting food. Although it was him to prove his independence. However it wasn’t her place to question so she didn’t. She just drank her water as soon as it arrived, though she chewed on the straw just to keep her mouth shut. Even though she wasn’t the person to nag she was naturally curious person, and Kalyan he is a piece of work to figure out. All she did know was that he is amazing in bed.
Remembering the times he has satisfied her in bed, made her oblivious to how much of an ass he was out of it.”Not moody. I just got out of practice so I’m just exhausted.” Her eyes went wide as soon as the food was laid out in front of her. “…And hungry.” She started to eat of few pieces of fries before turning back to him. “I can ask you the same question too though, but knowing you. You’re always moody.” She said throwing a piece of burnt fry at him.

Kalyan smirked with a twisted grin “No. I don’t. I would easily be able to break out of those shitty prisons.” Kalyan didn’t go looking to start killing sprees. But he was many years old and had done his fair share of killing plenty of people, on sprees. So the taste for it sort of became lost to him as time went on. Though the moment didn’t seem to absolutely call for one anyway. As Ada suggested reasons as to why he would be walking with her now he narrowed his eyes.
He didn’t have any friends, they had either been dead, due to a killing spree, age, or whatever reason. So Kalyan had also decided not to go out and risk the heartbreak, in most occasions. Friends just seemed to get in the way. Letting out a haughty laugh he tossed his head and looked away “I would never miss you, Ada. You are just a cum dumpster to me.” Squinting he glanced back toward her, turning his head slightly to see what she had to say to him. Then he sneered a little bit “My mom would never kick me out. She is just busy!” He snapped lightly. Then turned his head completely to look at her, bringing his arms up to cross them over his chest and staring down at Ada “I don’t need you to buy me food. I can get it myself.”
Suppose Kalyan was a bit touchy about certain subjects and most people would hesitate to say the next thing to them. Ada didn’t care. One way or another Kalyan bleed whenever you stabbed him. Hard at least. Really - really hard. Either way he still did, therefore he got no special treatment from her. Ada never grew up as a tread lightly type of girl. No filter is what she grew up around. She hated people like that it was way she didn’t have any friends. It’s only way she talked to one person. Than again there wasn’t much talking when they were together.
Ada put up her hands in defense. “Okay golden boy. Buy your own damn food.” She muttered under her voice before turning and opening the door on the corner to a small diner. Her favorite diner when her father, her favorite person in the world, always took her - right before he died. Ada basically made a b-line to the bar - the staff already knew her and knew what she always got.She just dropped her gear on the floor and waited for the food to come.

Kalyan was staring at his mother who was going on about something extremely unimportant to him. She was in one of those bouts again where she obsessed over his father. Kalyan could only roll his eyes at her moronic behavior. How could the woman not see just how fucked Azazael had been? Azazael was a shit father, an even shittier lover, and a waste of an angel. No wonder he had failed in his war against heaven. Kaylan shook his head and looked away “Right, mother. Perhaps if you weren’t so attached to his dick, we could actually get something else accomplished other than this bullshit with you chasing after him every time you get a random spur.” This had gotten him kicked out of his mother’s presence for the day, which was alright with him.
Walking down the sidewalk of a local spot he had recently been favoring he spotted his target and started toward her. Soon he was walking beside her, then watched as she removed her headphones and spoke to him. Smirking at this he shrugged “I don’t give a fucking shit. I favor literally killing anything that I want…Restraint is a sign of weakness.”
Ada only shook her head and laughed lightly, looking over at Kalyan. “Easy for you to say. You don’t have to worry about going to prison.” She raised her brow and looked back in front of her, putting her phone back in her bag. Luckily her apartment building wasn’t that far from her school, though she was starving and needed food before she turned into Kalyan and killed everyone in sight. Just because she was hungry. “Either two reasons why you’re walking with me. One you missed me so much you couldn’t bare the thought of not being with me one more second.” She was being sarcastic, though she couldn’t help being a dick to the other. It was overall a little too easy. “Or two – your mom kicked you out again.” She walked a little faster, just to step in front of the other. “Either way I honestly don’t care. But if I have to buy food for you too, I need to know what you want to eat.”
