Kerry: If I accidentally sat on a voodoo doll of myself, would I be trapped forever in that position, doomed to starve to death?
Saanvi: How am I supposed to know?
Mikhael: You say, as if we don’t use you as a source of knowledge of the occult.
Saanvi: *sighs*
Saanvi: You wouldn't be trapped.

Overwatch OC idea dump, GO!
“Kerberos” was created toward the end of the Omnic Crisis, but before any noticeable decline, and due to a perceived glitch in his programing, was able to resist the command of the AI in control of the omnium.
He tried to flee from the fighting, but found out all-too-quickly that staying uninvolved was not a viable option, and decided to fight for humanity instead.
He was NOT welcomed by the humans, and many refused to work with him, if not outright tried to kill him.
Undeterred, Kerberos took to fighting on his own, utilizing the prototype hard light projectors he was equipped with.
Though he did not make a significant impact in the Crisis as a whole, Kerberos became known to humans and Omnics alike as a sort of folk-hero within Africa.
He disappeared after the resolution of the Crisis, and many believed he’d been destroyed.
He was discovered in a state of severe disrepair by Soldier 52/Montana Rain and her Omnic companion, Thor, nearly a full generation after the Crisis, and brought back to their Numbani residence.
Montana and Thor attempted to repair Kerberos, but while they could repair (and even upgrade) his body well enough, his mind and memories were more difficult to recover.
One day, a disoriented Kerberos woke up, and wandered outside; he was missing for a full day before he was found by Isoka Tafara on the steps outside the Numbani Regional Library.
Unable to recover his past, Kerberos’ mind dumped the corrupted files, and started creating new ones; this explains why his first clear memories are of the library’s stained glass windows, and Isoka offering him a place to stay.
He quickly made friends with technological heiress Saanvi Rathanagan and engineering-student-turned-dog-groomer Mikhael Byrnes, and they became inseparable.
Kerry’s mysterious past never bothered him too much, but a psychologist might pin his near-insatiable thirst for knowledge (he’s read nearly every book in the library) as a coping mechanism to try and fill the empty space he perceives in his memories.
Kerry was perfectly content to help Isoka (now his adoptive mother) run and maintain the library, until he stumbled over archival footage of the attempted theft of the Doomfist gauntlet, and the thwarting of said theft by the newly-revived Ovewatch.
Kerry immediately decided, upon watching this footage, to take Tracer’s words literally; “The world could always use more heroes!”, and Kerry believed he could be one of them.
Kerry adores dogs, and keeps an assortment of treats hidden in the pockets of his clothes/chinks in his armor so that he’s ready to reward a good boy/good girl at any given time.
Kerry is considered to be about 15 years old; as he and Isoka could only speculate as to his actual creation date, they decided to use the date they met instead, and go from there.
Kerry loves gelatin art for its vibrant colors and jiggliness, and runs a blog dedicated to collecting images/videos/recipes of the medium.

Saanvi: If?
Mikhael: Great, the only party I’ve ever been invited to and he might not even die.

Kerry: Let me show you a picture from last night that really upset me
Saanvi: Okay, but in my defense, Mikhael bet me 50 cents I couldn’t drink all that shampoo.
Kerry: That’s not what I wanted to- you drank SHAMPOO?!

Kerry: Saanvi, keep an eye on Mikhael today. They're going to say something to the wrong person and get punched.
Saanvi: Sure, I’d love to see Mikhael get punched.
Kerry: Try again.
Saanvi, sighing: I will stop Mikhael from getting punched.
