K Ramakrishnan College of Engineering Among top 10 Engineering Colleges of Tamil Nadu

K Ramakrishnan College of Engineering or KRCE is considered among the top engineering colleges in South India. There are various factors that contribute to this stature of the KRCE. From faculty to infrastructure, from facilities provided to placement drives. Lets first know the beginning and its growth in the education field.

 KRCE commenced its establishment in 2008 in Trichy under the affiliation of Anna University. It has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and accredited by statutory bodies like NAAC and NBA for their excellence in technical education. 

KRCE offers UG and PG courses in engineering and management. The courses offered are B. Tech, M. Tech and MBA. They also offer doctoral programs in the field of engineering. Specializations offered in B. Tech are Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Computer Science and Business Systems, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering. Admissions in B. Tech is based upon merit and M. Tech is based upon TANCET. For MBA, candidates must possess a valid score in CMAT/TANCET. 

The students are encouraged to participate in various projects and activities so they have practical knowledge along with theoretical knowledge.. KRCE students were first runner-up team for Young Entrepreneurs Award for the project " Vehicle Emission Monitor" by the US based organization 'Earth Network of India' on World Earth Day celebrations and Won 200 US dollars.

For its prominence in higher education, K Ramakrishnan College of Engineering has received recognition & awards. Additionally, its placement cell holds placement drives to ensure that the students are hired by the top firms. KRCE has an astounding placement record of 100%. Some of the major recruiters of KRCE are IBM, CMS, Infosys, Mindtree, Tech Mahindra, TCS, Just Dial, Amazon, Capgemini, Zoho, etc.

A Glimpse into the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at KRCE

Welcome to the world of Computer Science and Engineering at KRCE. The department of CSE at K. Ramakrishnan College of Engineering was inaugurated in the year 2008 with an initial intake of 60 students. Subsequently, the intake was expanded to 120 students in 2013. Additionally, a postgraduate course was introduced in 2013 with an initial intake of 24 students.

The Computer Science & Business Systems Department at K.Ramakrishnan College of Engineering (KRCE) actively prepares practical and industry-ready computer science professionals. Further, formed in 2020, the department has grown rapidly, featuring a team of faculty members trained by major industry players like WIPRO, Google Cloud, Dell EMC2, Infosys, and Virtusa.
