I'm gonna start this by saying that I was very much pulled in deep into the Batfam stuff based on fanon posts.

I am slowly getting through some actual canon stuff when my schedule allows.

But indulging in fanon stuff, are there any fic recs for the Batkids going into protective mode toward Bruce's suitors?

I stumbled into food eating contests and my mind went, “The way a lot of hero’s metabolism works…this would realistically be kinda what they need to eat normally???”

So them having an eating contest would devolve into Gluttony Personified.

But then I thought…what about another sin? What about Pride???

How much capsaicin can someone with a high metabolism take????

My mind then went to the Kents entering a chili making contest every year and having a rivalry with another farmer family. They have a small section in their personal garden out back just for the chilis used for that contest. I’ve Clark of old enough (his taste buds could have handled it younger but no, Ma and Pa Kent don’t let him have too much until he’s older) he becomes the taste tester. Ma and Pa Kent have grown some dangerous hybrids that have made Clark NEED a couple glasses of milk…

Idk, I just think it’d be funny if Midwestern Clark who gets teased about Midwestern “salads” is the one who can handle spice.

The Batfam can out stubborn and out pride any of them if they wanted…but one of the Robins was the one to first pose the question. And the rest of them are either keeping notes, rooting and trying to help their fave pick, or some other third option

Daily Planet employee 2: Yeah, they do seem to get along a lot better these days. I wonder…

Clark: But I made sure to move a bit slower so you’d feel more comfortable!

Bruce: It’s not about how fast you were moving, Clark, it’s about the position. I hate it.

Clark: Oh, come on, don’t be like that. We can try different positions next time. I could hold you up by the waist…

Bruce: [muttering] Should have just taken the jet…

Me who's going through all Batman content I can because fanon brought me the beauty of the Batfam, starting with Batman the Brave and the Bold whose premise is that in every episode he pairs up with a friend/ally/crush. With people constantly calling Batman friend, best friend, old friend, and he calls them chum and pal: ....Sure Jan.
