This was brightened up in post. The area was actually rather dimly lit that I could merely get a shutter speed of only 1/30 second at ISO400. Thankfully there wasn’t any visible shake even at actual size.

2020年に中古で買ったRicoh GRぶりにカメラを買った。当然中古だけど、Leicaのカメラ。

初めて買ったカメラはコンデジで、今考えると本当に小さいし写りもそこそこだったなって印象しかないCanon製品だった。その次に買ったのが忘れもしない、2007年の大晦日にUSJでのカウントダウンに向かう直前、待ち合わせ場所のビックカメラで衝動買い。ワーホリ行くことは決まってたしライブで写真撮るのにもう少しいいカメラが欲しいなと思っていたところだったのもあって勢いよくいった。それがPanasonicのLumixシリーズの取り外せないレンズの見た目はなんちゃって一眼レフなやつ。で、そのレンズがLeicaだった。

そのカメラは本当に酷使したと思うけど、左手に持ったビデオカメラで動画撮影しながら右手で写真を撮るという行為に上手く馴染んでくれてた。

そんなこともあって、別に特別カメラに興味があるわけではないけどLeicaは気になってて、年に何回か検索しては値段を見てまた閉じてって感じだった。その前にRicoh GRを買ってしまったわけだけど。

GRに関してもどうせ買うならGR Digitalじゃないのがいいけどあんまり高いのもなってので4万円ぐらいだしってのもあって初代GRを購入。単焦点だからズームはないけどスナップ撮るにはちょうどよかった。

全然使いこなせてるわけでもないけど最近になってまたLeica欲しい病が始まって検索してたらLeica X1/X2というのが中古で12〜15万ぐらいで買えそうだとわかり、どんなカメラかと調べたら単焦点。たぶん撮れ方違うんだろうけど、でもなあとさらに検索しているとX Vario Typ 107というモデルに辿り着いた。中古での��格帯は先述のX1/X2と同じぐらい。こちらはズームができる。と言っても光学ズームとか望遠レンズがとかいうのじゃないからたかが知れてはいる。だけどGRとの差別化は図れるし、なにより念願のLeicaだしということで勢いで購入。Leicaもどうせ買うならPanasonic製のLeicaではなくドイツ製を買いたかったからちょうどよかった(?)

今回投稿した写真は全てLeica X Vario Typ 107で撮ったもの。偶然にもRicoh GRと同じ年のリリースで画素数やらその他スペックも似たところがあったり。最新のカメラと比べたら絶対物足りないんだろうけど、iPhoneで撮る写真はやっぱりちょっと飽きてしまうし、ちゃんとしたカメラで撮る方がいいなと改めて思わされました。その程度には違いを感じ、満足しています。これからなるべく持ち歩いて色々撮るようにしていくつもり。

This was captured back in 2019. The Leica X1 might not be most folks’ go-to kit for sports/action photography but it’s actually quite a decent little camera. Camera was held close to the ground and tilted for a little dynamic effect.
