जयपुर लिटरेचर फेस्टिवल की शुरुआत 30 जनवरी से हो चुकी है। शो के पहले दिन जावेद अख्तर के सेशन "ज्ञान सीपियों" में उन्होंने वो कहा जो वाकई हम लोगों के लिए एक चिंतनीय विषय है। वे बोले, भाषा को लेकर क्या हो रहा है आजकल? बच्चे अपनी मादरी ज़ुबान से ही दूर होते जा रहे हैं। बच्चों को उनकी ज़ुबान से दूर कर दूसरी भाषा में पारंगत करना वैसा ही है जैसे एक पेड़ की शाखाओं को बिना जड़ के बढ़ाना।

जावेद अख्तर जयपुर लिटरेचर फेस्टिवल की शान रहे हैं। वे कई सालों से वक्ता के तौर पर जेएलएफ में आते रहे हैं। चाहे वो बात सिनेमा की करें या फिल्मी गीतों की, ऑडियंस के बीच में वो कुछ ऐसा छोड़ जाते हैं जो एक सवाल बनकर लोगों के ज़ेहन में रह जाता है। जेएलएफ के पहले दिन भी ऐसा ही हुआ। उन्होंने कहा, आप बाहर के मुल्कों में देखिए, लोगों को अपनी भाषा से इश्क़ है। वो किसी भी कीमत पर उसे छोड़ना नहीं चाहते, लेकिन आज का हमारा हिंदुस्तान अपनी भाषा को छिटक कर आगे बढ़ने को ही अपनी डेवलपमेंट समझ रहा है। जावेद अख्तर के इस सेशन में उनके साथ सुधा मूर्ति और अतुल तिवारी...
