(EN) SIMS 4 Monster High Legacy Challenge!!!

Hi guys! First post on tumblr, kinda excited. For a long time I've been struggling with attempting new Sims 4 legacy challenges, as I couldn't find any that also go into newer packs. I've played Not So Berry a bunch of times (never actually finished lol), and it inspired me to go into a rabbithole of legacy challenges. Before we start, this challenge was inspired by a Sims 3 Monster High challenge made by simmingsamantha.tumblr.com. I took A LOT of inspiration (especially in the beggining) when making this challenge, so please, make sure to check them out. <3 This challenge was made inspired by my fav characters from Monster High. You don't need to make your sims look like the dolls, there's specific color suggestions but also - you don't need to follow them. Play the challenge the way YOU are going to enjoy it! NOW ONTO THE BASIC RULES! 1. Normal lifespan, 2. No cheats, unless stated otherwise, 3. I suggest using the color combos provided to make the game look more interesting, 4. Every generation is supposed to complete their career and aspiration (unless stated otherwise). 5. For two legacies I am using mods to expand the occult gameplay - they're going to be linked next to the generations. You don't have to use them.

GENERATION 1: Frankie Stein traits: clumsy, lovebug, insider career: Engineer -> Mechanical Branch aspiration: Reneissance sim (don't finish it) • Max the robotics and cross-stitching skills • Get 5 additional skills to level 5 • Master the Mechanical Branch of the Engineer career • Create a Servo and befriend them • Have 3 good friends and 2 best friends • Have a dog, name it "Watzit". Give it age down treats every time it becomes an elder, until you become an elder • Have 5 rats throughout your life and name them "Gwen, Gaga, Green day, Girlicious and Ghostface Killah" • Have only one kid via adoption! colors are black, white and neon blue

GENERATION 2: Draculaura traits: vegetarian, cheerful, romantic career: Actor aspiration: Soulmate

• Max the writing, acting and romance skills • Reach lvl 10 of your career • Be a good vampire! • Only eat plasma fruits - never dine on sims! • In school, join drama club, later cheer team • Marry your highschool sweetheart who is a werewolf • Play guitar and write romance novels • Have a black cat names "Count Fabulous", dress it in pink clothes • Have many kids colors are pink and black

GENERATION 3: Clawdeen Wolf traits: creative, non-commital, hot-headed career: Style Influencer -> Stylist aspiration: Admired Icon (teen), Romantic Explorer • Max the writing, painting and dancing skills • Master the Stylist Branch of the Style Influencer career • Be a werewolf and join a werewolf pack • Have a good relationship with your siblings • Tame the inner beast, aquire "Lunar Resistance" trait • Never marry! • Once a week go thrifting and clubbing • Have one kid only colors are purple and gold

GENERATION 4: Deuce Gorgon traits: active, bro, paranoid career: Athlete -> Pro Athlete aspiration: Party Animal

• Max the selvadoradian culture, cooking and fitness skills • Master the Pro Athlete Branch of Athletic career • Be human (cheat for that if needed) • Become a football team Captain • Have a basketball team • Always wear sunglasses (even to bed) • Complete the fossils collection • Date a snobish sim • Have a bad relationship with your mother, but a great one with your aunt and cousin, visit them often in Selvador • Have a pet rat named "Perseus" color is green

GENERATION 5: Lagoona Blue* traits: outgoing, child of the ocean, loves nature career: Diver aspiration: Beach Life

• Max charisma, wellness and mermaid skills* • Live in Sulani and become a mermaid! • Live on a houseboat or in a beach shack • Complete the seashells collection and collect postcards • Date a Kelpie* and have a bad relationship with their parents • Have a pet fish called "Neptuna" • Have a PlantSim baby (you can cheat - also mod, see Venus gen) • EXPLORE THE MERMAIDS EXPANDED MOD!* colora are sea blue, black and pink *I reccomend downloading the Mermaids Expanded Mod for better experience! • Max gardening, logic and herbalism skills • Master the Green Technician branch of the Civil Designer career • As a second aspiration choose Freelance Botanist or Friend of Nature (MOD)* • Be a PlantSim (you may cheat)* • Clean Sulani • Complete the Axolotl collection • Have many failed relationships due to you being a PlantSim, finally settle down with a loyal sim • Your home is full of recycled or fabricated stuff • Have an agressive looking dog named "Chewliah" • EXPLORE THE PLANTSIMS EXPANDED MOD!* colora are neon green with pink

GENERATION 7: Abbey Bominable traits: self-assured, adventurous, socially awkward career: do odd jobs only aspiration: Mt. Komorebi Sightseer

• Max rock climbing, skiing and snowboarding skills • Live in Mt. Komorebi and alwats go to festivals! • Always throw Christmas parties and invite family • Complete the simmies collection - have at least 1 gold simmy! • Have only one friend (besides your partner) • Marry a hot-headed sim from Sulani • have a fluffy pet called "Shiver" colors are pastel blue with white

GENERATION 8: Ghoulia Yelps traits: geek, genius, bookworm career: see below* aspiration: Goal Oriented (teen), Academic

• Max programming, video gaming and logic skills • Earn at least one University degree (of your chosing), that's your job!* earn most money by hacking • Have no friends until High School • Become a chess team captain! • Complete mySims trophies collection • Collect microscope and space prints • Always take part in GeekCon GamingTest and Hackathon • Die and get ressurected at any point of your life (that's how you become a zombie) colors are red, black and blue

GENERATION 9: Spectra Vondergeist traits: loner, kleptomaniac, nosy career: Social Media -> PR aspiration: drama llama (teen), seeker of secrets

• Max charisma, thanatology and medium skills • Max PR branch of Social Media career • Make friends ONLY by using Social Bunny • Collect all tarot cards • Become a ghost, complete your bucket list! • Become a landlord, spy on your renters and steal from them! • Romance Grim Reaper?! • Have a ghost pet called "Rhuen" • Have two (human) kids colors are purple and magenta

GENERATION 10: Cleo De Nile traits: snob, self-absorbed, materialistic career: Politician aspiration: World Famous Celebrity

• Max charisma, gemology and nectar making skills • Become the world leader and be 5 star famous! • Have a strained relationship with your sister • Find your soulmate in High School, break up after graduating. Date around as a young adult - never anything serious. Recconect as adults • Never decline an invitation • Throw a party every week, enjoy your life! • Complete the crystals collection • Have a polar opposite BFF • Have AS MANY sphinx cats as possible!!! colors are gold, blue and brown

Sims In Bloom: Generation 2 Pt. 180 (Saying Goodbye)

With Malcolm's pleas unanswered, Geoffrey Landgraab passed away at just 63 years old. His family felt his loss immediately, crying themselves to sleep for days after his untimely death.

Bridgette kept her grandmother company by filling the empty space in the bed Nancy shared with Geoffrey for more than 40 years, and Malcolm worried about his mother. So stoic and proud, Nancy felt Geoffrey's loss on a level reserved for true love. She was devastated.

But Nancy refused to let her grief stand in the way of honouring the man she loved, and when it was time for Geoffrey's memorial service, she even allowed Ash's mother, stepfather, and sister Lavender to attend in support of her grandson. Their infant in a Spider-Man sweater - Rowan, she thought but couldn't remember - was even asleep upstairs in Bridgette's old crib.

Geoffrey had never really understood Nancy's dislike for Heather, and it was only after the kidnapping that he finally agreed to pursue custody. But inviting the Gordons wasn't an olive branch.

Not that Heather and Conrad thought it was. They weren't happy to be there, but they masked their disinterest in comforting smiles for Ash's sake. And they knew something the Landgraabs did not - while they were here honouring the memory of Ash's grandfather, Felix and Emit planned to meet with newlywed Judge Robin Banks across town.

Heather and Conrad had no clue how the meeting would go, but they knew Felix intended to stop her from ever becoming the time thief. They didn't know anything else, but he'd hinted that it might look like misconduct if he said too much about it. They trusted him, and they couldn't be implicated in any kind of plan he was formulating. Not if they wanted Ash back home in the Bay.

The Zests were all there, too, which made the thought of listening to Nancy's tearful eulogies a lot more bearable. Lavender showed up (in Conrad's hair colour, inexplicably, before it turned back to auburn) and offered her brother a hug. "I'm sorry you lost your granddad," she said sweetly, sticking close to her parents the rest of the memorial.

At one point, she got hungry, and Ash offered her a slice of leftover pizza. "Didn't this Canadian bacon give your granddad a heart attack?"

"Yeah, but no one else will eat it," he said, dropping to do a few sit-ups on the kitchen floor. "And you're too young for a heart attack."

So Lavender happily enjoyed the greasy pizza while Johnny Zest gave a lighthearted eulogy. "Geoffrey turned my sister from a sea monster to your standard sea witch, but everything about him was constant. He always made time for family. He always made time for my wife and I, and he was always encouraging to our kids. I know we're all going to miss having him around."

Johnny and Eva Zest's youngest, son Deven, pulled up a wooden stool and offered a eulogy of his own. (Autonomously! So cute.)

"Uncle Geoffrey was always the funniest. Even funnier than my dad, sometimes. And he always found coins behind my ear whenever he saw us. He was really nice to me and my sisters and he always let us use the pool. We'll miss you, Uncle Geoffrey."

Nancy spoke for a long time about Geoffrey. She talked about how he had always been the secret to her success, and that of their family. He was her compass through every storm, the man who convinced her she was worthy of love. She feared what the world would look like without him in it.

Her words were so vulnerable and heartfelt, it was the first time Heather had ever seen her this way. She didn't realize it was possible to feel a shred of sympathy for her. As Nancy recollected how Geoffrey enjoyed fantasy epics, Heather thought back to years ago before she and Malcolm split, when she came downstairs to find Geoffrey reading in the kitchen.

She made them a 'second breakfast' of French toast that night, and she remembered thinking Geoffrey would have been a decent father-in-law. But she never could have been happy with his son.

The emotion of the moment overtook her, and she teared up over the loss of her son's grandfather next to his sobbing widow.

The Zests quickly made their way to the pool lounge a floor below, where they danced to the old jukebox stereo and jumped in for a swim. It really was the best way to honour Geoffrey, who loved dancing in his bathing suit around the penthouse, and Nancy was too grief-stricken to give them hell for it.

Malcolm was struggling with the loss of his father, and didn't offer a eulogy of his own. He asked Conrad how he dealt with the loss of his parents. "Do you feel like you failed them? Like you should have saved them?"

Conrad didn't really know what to say. Some days, he really hated the guy for the custody trial, and he had to hold his fists at his side to keep from punching him. But he'd known Malcolm - and Geoffrey - a long time. "It's not your fault. You've just got to keep living," he said. "But you'll never stop missing him."

After the rainy indoor memorial, guests travelled to Myshuno Meadows in the rain for the burial of Geoffrey's ashes. The rain made Roan a little fussy, so the Gordons were all too happy to step away. With his father's blessing, Ash followed curiously.

"Did you know this is the same cemetery where your parents are buried? My Dad told me they're over by the lake. Can we go see them?"

"It's pouring rain," Conrad protested while Roan fussed. "Your brother's not happy."

"It'll be raining inside, anyway."

"Please, Daddy? I didn't know my grandparents were here, too!"

"Just their gravestones, sweet girl."

"I still wanna see!"

So despite the rain, they made their way to the graves of Conrad's parents, with Heather cracking jokes to get Roan babbling and focused on anything but the wet weather.

Ash lit a candle for Conrad's parents, which stayed burning despite the rain. "I wish I had known you, but I'm glad I know Conrad," he told them. "Rest in peace."

Conrad hadn't visited his parents' graves since the death of his father. He'd never been comfortable talking to stone, but he let himself shed a few tears in front of the people he loved more than anything.

Lavender watched her strong, stoic father with sad eyes. "Daddy, can I play Gramma and Grampa Gordon a song on my violin? I can play in front of an audience that doesn't see me!"

Ash looked at her with surprise. "You brought your violin?"

"I thought I might play at the funeral to surprise you, but there were too many people and your Nan talked the whole time, anyway. But I'll play a song for Gramma and Grampa and your Granddad, too."

"That's a great idea, Lavender," said Heather warmly. "Let's hear you play."

Lavender pulled out her violin, playing a traditional tune and escaping into the music while rain fell all around them. Her family listened intently, and Ash congratulated her when she was done.

"That was great, Lava. You shouldn't be afraid to play in front of anyone!"

"Do you think Gramma and Grampa liked it?"

Ash nodded, keeping his gaze fixed on her. "I bet they loved it."

"Well done, Lavender. You're getting so good at that violin," said her father. Heather proudly concurred, and Roan babbled in her arms.

"Lah goo!"

None of them acted like they saw the two apparitions float from their gravestones as Lavender's violin sang through the rain. Ash could see them, of course, but he could only see their translucent figures.

He was surprised and confused. Why didn't the ghosts of Conrad's parents want to be seen? ->

I really set up this whole arc hoping Malcolm would plead and, whether Geoffrey lived or died, his evil trait might flip to good...no such luck. Malcolm is still evil, which I suppose we all knew anyway. Might try donating a bunch of money to charity next, I don't know what'll do it. (In Geoffrey's name, of course!) The good news is Geoffrey's death will not be in vain, depending whose side you're on, even though his son couldn't save him - or himself, frankly.

NOTE: For the record I did have a height preset on Ash, but I moved him around and it disappeared. I think maybe because the Gordon household has too many people so I can't enter full CAS, it won't stick. But he's pretty close to aging up to teen anyway, so I just let it go. He's taller than Lavender and Bridgette in our hearts.

NOTE 2: This was my first in-game funeral. I'm honestly relieved I could play through one and get some tips before I have to one day do it for my main family sims. RIP though, Geoffrey! But we can only invite 8 sims? If you don't invite the people who live in your household, who are family, to invite more guests from outside, those family members can't give eulogies?! And some of the randomized 'polished black' outfits were ridiculous. Johnny in a sarong and Eva and the Landgraabs' driver, Ray Pierce, in ripped denim? Nancy was probably fuming. I was also not really into moving the funeral offsite because their place is large enough, though I could have done without guests jumping in the pool before the funeral was done!

WCIF: Nancy and Geoffrey's wedding photo was made with the Wedding Portrait posepack by @lucky-content. Nancy, Geoffrey, and child Malcolm are posed with @simmerberlin's Family Picture, an all-in-one animated pose for two parents and two kids that worked well for a family of 3. I also used this pose pack for Conrad's photos with his parents, which now hang on the walls of the Gordon home! Posed them both wayyyyy back when I played out Conrad's childhood flaskback and never properly cited it, so making amends on that now!

The Guts Legacy Challenge

Nearly three years to the day since I first posted the Sour Legacy Challenge and Guts is finalllllly ready for you (never thought I'd see the day) 😭🤘✨

Same drill as before: the rules are lax, make this your own, take it slow or fast, use lots of mods and cheats or don't, I don't care—my only hope is that this helps you tell a creative, chaotic story in our favorite little dollhouse game.

Note for gen 1: if you don't have the sticky fingers aspiration in your game, I recommend fabulously wealthy or mansion baron!

Ready for a wild journey filled with love, death, and adventure? The Life & Death Legacy Challenge is here to push your Sims to their limits! 💀❤️ Each generation has unique challenges and goals that must be completed to carry on the legacy. But beware – this challenge won’t be easy, as it focuses on the thin line between life and death!

Rules:

You must complete each generation’s goals before moving on to the next one.

Your Sims must live in Ravenswood for the first 3 generations, setting the stage for a dark and twisted family history.

Murder and death play a central role in the challenge, but there are no cheats allowed to cause death (like MCCC or Testingcheats True).

A “bucket list” is crucial for some generations, and all tasks on the list must be completed before moving on.

You cannot make your Sims immortal (except for one specific generation that seeks immortality).

Each Sim must experience some form of tragedy or hardship, such as losing loved ones, facing poverty, or dealing with betrayal.

Color Theory Legacy Challenge

Do you like color? Do you like legacy challenges that switch things up each generation? Do you like family cozy gameplay AND spicy dramatic gameplay?

Well, then this is the legacy challenge for you! Inspired by classic legacy challenges like the Not So Berry Challenge by @lilsimsie and @alwaysimming and Such Colorful Lives by @thepanplumbob, this legacy challenge is a ten generation legacy challenge where each generation's goals and personality are based on the color theory of their assigned color!

General Rules: 1. Normal Lifespan recommended 2. Each Heir must represent the color of their generation BUT Berry sims are not required (Though feel free to use them if you want!) 3. Keep money cheats to a minimum! 4. Each heir must complete their required Careers and Aspirations unless specifically stated otherwise 5. Each heir can be any of the previous heir's children, no matter the birth order, unless specifically stated otherwise

Generation One: White - The Beginning White symbolizes innocence, purity, and beginnings... People call you innocent… naive… But that’s not really the case. You know exactly how cruel the world can be so you strive to make it a better place. You pour yourself into your career and your children and your marriage, determined to spend your life helping others and to raise children that help others, too.Your house is always sparklingly clean and there’s always a hot meal on the table and an extra bed (or sleeping bag or couch) for sims who need it.

Traits: Good, Generous, Neat

Aspiration: Friend of the World

Career: Doctor

Generation Two: Pink - The Romantic Nurturer Pink symbolizes love, compassion, and nurturing. You just love love! Your parents had an idyllic romance that taught you what love was supposed to look like. And you want everyone to have that kind of love! Including yourself! The problem is you just can't seem to decide which sim owns your heart! You have a couple lovers as a teen before finally settling down with your soulmate and raising a family together. 

Traits: Perfectionist, Lovebug, Family Oriented

Aspiration: Paragon Partner (teen), Big Happy Family (adult)

Career: Romantic Consultant (either branch)

Other Requirements:

Master Parenting and Romance Skills

Reach at least Level Five of the Charisma Skill

Spoil your kids rotten (Rarely use the Punish option when correcting them)

Stay Soulmates with your spouse and go on one date a week

Generation Three: Red - The Passionate Actor Red symbolizes passion. You are a very passionate person, you always have been, but you’ve never cared for being kind. Not like your parent. You’re more of a hot-head, and tell it like it is. This means you make a lot of enemies. Who cares about Enemies when you have lovers? But none of those lovers are good enough for you, so you hop from one to the next, leaving a trail of broken hearts (and maybe one or two affair babies). For all your romantic exploits, your true love is the stage. You want to see your name up in lights!

Traits: Hot-Headed, Mean, Romantic

Aspiration: Villainous Valentine

Career: Actor

Other Requirements:

Master Romance, and Acting Skills

Reach at least Level Five of the Mischief Skill

Have more Enemies than Friends

Have three kids, all with different married sims.

Have a negative relationship with all your kids

Become a 5 Star Celebrity

Optional: Interact with your kids as little as possible, have them raised by a sibling, grandparent, or nanny

Generation Four: Brown - The Steadfast Farmer Brown is the color of strength and reliability. You’ve never gotten on too well with your parents. Neither of them were ever really around, so as the oldest, you sort of ended up as your younger siblings’ default parent. Of course, your grandparents did what they could to help, but they had their own lives. So, when you could, you found solace in animals. Animals aren’t like people, they don’t hurt you on purpose.  When you’re finally old enough, you take your younger siblings and ditch your parents, moving to the countryside to finally have some peace. There, you build up a farm, with livestock and horses, and, of course, a family that actually loves each other.

Traits: Animal Enthusiast, Rancher, Loyal

Aspiration: Country Caretaker

Career: None, make money off your crops, livestock, and nectar

Other Requirements:

MUST be the eldest child of the Red generation

So, you find your outlets in tech and video games instead. The people in those circles don’t seem to care as much about your awkwardness.  And there, among zeros and ones and other geeks, you finally blossom, transforming into a sunny, bright person. You’ll never be especially social, but your small circle is enough for you.

Generation Seven: Green - The Eco-Conscious Hippie Green symbolizes nature and vitality but also jealousy. You never quite fit in with your family members. While your parents and sibling all had a similar passion for technology, yours is a bit more nature focused. In fact, you're a bit of a hippie. There's no shame in that!  As soon as you're old enough, you leave the smog and traffic of the city behind and move to Evergreen Harbor, hoping to live a greener life, only to come face to face with a community in sore need of a clean up.  You've never been one to back down from a challenge so you roll up your sleeves and get to work. Unfortunately, you spend so much time on your projects that you don't have time for love… until one day you notice everyone else seems to have gotten married and had kids, leaving you behind! Will you ever find the love you desire before it's too late?

Generation Eight: Blue - The Ocean-Loving Artist Blue symbolizes inspiration and creativity. You’ve always been a bit of a gloomy sim. Maybe that’s because Evergreen Harbor doesn’t have much scope for the imagination. It’s nice that the town is all cleaned up thanks to your parent, but you often find yourself at the docks, staring at the sea. Here, it’s gray and green and not much else. While you find the colors you love in the gems you collect and shape, you find yourself wishing you could see those colors in your beloved ocean. So, as soon as you’re able, you make your way to Sulani. But once there, you discover that the islands are in a sorry state. You’ve learned a thing or two about helping the environment from your parents, so you roll up your sleeves and get to work.

Career: Conservationist

Generation Nine: Purple - The Self-Absorbed Scientist Purple symbolizes luxury and ambition. You’ve never loved the podunk environment of the Islands. You want more, something grander, something befitting your genius. Something that makes you known. And what better way to do that than making the lives of sims better with your inventions? You wouldn’t call yourself a mad scientist, in fact, you’re very sane. It’s not your fault people don’t appreciate your genius!

Traits: Genius, Self Absorbed, Ambitious

And they would be right. About you, at least. Maybe that comes from having Evil Scientists as parents. Who knows. Whatever it is, you’ve always had a fascination with whatever comes after life. And you’ve always felt Death hovering at your side but maybe he’s not the enemy you thought he was…

Career: Reaper
