*something bad happens and RBG gang all end up in the Land of Monsters with no way back yet. Kai is trying his hardest not to act nervous or suspicious when they land there, But hes freaking the hell out cause hes back in the land of monsters. Nya knows something is up, Lloyd does too.*

So they're walk around exploring, Kai is hyper alert and scanning for danger. Hes jumpy and not cracking as many jokes or bantering for very long. Obviously Lloyd tries to get him to chat but he kinda just ignores him or replys half hazardly.

But as soon as kai hears something coming, feels vibrations in the ground or hears something chittering, he abandons his previous plan. It's like a switch had been flicked in Kai's brain.

He can't lose his family in the place where he lost himself.

And this point is where Lloyd and Nya figure out what's up. Thats why they startle so suddenly hesring his desperate scream for them get out of the way or a silent command to hide.

It's terrifying to see their older brother who cracks jokes every five seconds with a wide smile, scowl and charge towards a beast x1000 the size of him. Watching his fighting style that was flashy and smooth easily slip back into to rough and animalistic, something that is born out of desperation.

They realise how much their brother has changed in the time they were separated, they realise how much they didn't notice about him. The realise how much he's been suffering in silence, how he suffered and they didn't notice.

They realise how much of a monster he's become for them, but they still love him either way because inside, he's still the same old Kai they've always known.
