Tonight, while I was brushing my teeth, I realized why Dragons Rising feels so bittersweet to me now: we're finally seeing that vision in the ice. Those images of everyone as masters are being realized. I'm probably not the first one to have realized that, but it's just.... wow. It's so not what 2015 me ever expected, and I love that.

(And their outfits are cooler, to boot!)

friendly reminder aimed at nobody in particular except the whole ass fanfic chapters that get reblogged and cross my dash: there's a handy lil wavy line symbol called a READ MORE when you're making a post. please use it when applicable (as in when your post starts getting long!) sometimes Tumblr does it for you with a similar expansion thingy, but not when someone throws a comment on the end!

Currently playing a fun game called Did Blocking Exactly Two People Help My Dash Not Be Full Of Highly Specific Trash? It's a pretty passive game - in fact, Tumblr's really the one playing it, and I'm just in the corner with a water bottle and a towel.

Then again... I may be winning. Maybe this isn't a boxing ring. Maybe the blocks are just marble chess pieces and oh, have I nudged those suckers well enough to reap the rewards now in the endgame. (May I find my opponents in the fireplace ash tomorrow morning, iykyk.) Granted, it's very early in the game, and this is the first of an unknown number of rounds - but after Operation: Get That Vent Poem Published succeeded, I'm feeling rather confident.

having a totally normal moment where I'm like "I should keep myself up til midnight by working on the WIP" except it's DONE. It's been done for TWO WHOLE DAYS. I've been watching my numbers on AO3 like this

since I put c5 out. I should KNOW I'm done, but i worked on that so long that I'm like, oh, we're still in writing mode? cool.

And I do have another writing project I want to work on, a non-fanfic, personal one, but my toddler of a brain does NOT want to play with THOSE words. Only Skybound! Only menace Nya!

had a bit of a Moment tonight and wrote a four page poem. formatting and everything. disappointment is one hell of a drug, and apparently when I overdose, I end up with a submission-ready vent poem

it's always fun when I get an isolated notification that someone has kudos'd ADA(DP), because sometimes that means they're about to binge read OSSAS, except for sometimes it doesn't. currently waiting to see what this incident develops into...
