The concept presentation of a new opera, especially a world premiere, is always a little bit like a first date. You never know what you’re going to get! For something I am putting together for here, I did some data dumping this morning. I have seen or participated in about 100 DIFFERENT musicals.

I don't know why that number kind of shocked me, but it did.

To be clear, Seen can be anything from a high school production to Broadway. Seen includes Dinner Theater, Regional, Tours, Community and Academic Theater. Participate in also runs the gamut from performing to lights, sound, directing, costumes, puppet building, etc...

Some I've seen several times; some I've done several times in different capacities. So, there's more analysis coming...

List does NOT include straight plays; I'll do that separately. I expect that number to be higher.

Post show glow with the man, the myth the legend.. @michaelanthonyalago who blessed us with his presence last night for one of the final performances of Jasper. If you don't know #whothefuckisthatguy I highly suggest you check out the film about his life and how he brought some of the greatest musicians into your ear holes and has generally lived the most fabulous New York Life and remains to this day one of the kindest and most humble people I've ever met. I also would like to give a special shout out to the NYHC family that came out to support last night. From the bottom of my heart you don't know how much it means to me that I've known most of you almost my entire life and here we are now..
