Poniamo il caso che King Buzzo (Melvins) e Ian Mackaye (Fugazi), messi nello stesso negozio di dischi da un destino tutt'altro che beffardo, avessero in quell'occasione parlato del più e del meno convenendo infine di mettere su un progetto insieme. Poniamo il caso che questo progetto, frutto di un'eccezionale sintonia tra gli stili dei due, fosse balzato in testa alla Billboard con la critica a strillare: "Rivoluzione!". Beh, è piuttosto evidente che nulla di tutto ciò sia accaduto, a parte la piccola rivoluzione di cui sopra che però l'han fatta i The Glad Husbands e forse per questo - come per tante altre - è passata inosservata, o quasi. Safe Places dovrebbe essere un disco di culto del grunge-core.
