Please tell me someone else has noticed that Look Down from Les Mis is literally the same as Chant from Hadestown. (I mean the melodies the workers sing.) They’re literally both about keeping your head down so that the people who are forcing you to do manual labor won’t notice you.

If you need further evidence, go listen to the beginning of both of them real quick.

The man on the radio has returned for all things Friday ... tells the tale of his impromptu stage taking and drumming ... slides with ease from Hakuna Matata to Swan Lake ... presses the button to introduce the traffic lady. More crazy car stuff in Dublin due to the musician whose name I will not mention.

The chef on the radio steams in laden with mackerel, sea bass and puy lentils. "I'm using Bay leaves with this recipe", he says ... "Did you just say Baileys?" asks the man on the radio ... "Did I say what? asks the chef ... "Baileys ... did you say Baileys? Cos that's an odd combination if you did". The chef giggles and says no, definitely Bay leaves but feel free to drink Baileys whilst you're cooking.

Today's groaner: a pessimist sees a dark tunnel ... an optimist sees light at the end of the tunnel ... a realist sees a freight train ... the train driver sees three idiots standing on the track ;-D badoom tish ... here all week!!

Survived yesterday's very rainy, umbrella filled shiny metropolis trip part deux. Phew! In and out in 2 hours, but life still feels slightly out of focus. Now back to hiding out and looking at the little things. I'll be keeping 'the umbrella' and water wings close to hand after yesterday's downpours ... ensuring my fingers are crossed that the lovely Fermata feels like eating today ... and rest assured the coffee will be flowing ...

Here are some songs that are going into “Les Meowserables,” an all-cat version of “Les Miserables”:

- Do you hear the kitties sing, singing the songs of fuzzy cats? They are looking so adorable in little tricorne hats!

- There are scratch marks on the tables where my friends sharpened their claws, little scratch marks on the tables from a fallen comrade’s paws.

- Go meow, go meow, that’s what the kitties say. Go meow, go meow, make all humans your slaves.

- There is a box that’s full of sand. I like to poop just right outside. Scatter the litter on the floor. Then make my humans clean it up.

- Master of the house! Owns all of the space! Stomps across your keyboard, butthole in your face! Can’t adjust your legs! Master doesn’t care! Every surface covered with big clumps of hair!

- On my own, my humans do not love me. Hungry now, and yet, my dish is empty. I weep, and yet those jerks ignore me. They say I was just fed but not an hour ago - they’re lying.

- I brought a mouse that I just caught. I’m going to leave it on your pillow. I thought you’d like it, do you not? You know, I killed it just for you.
