Louis just talking about his experience of tour, how he feels loved, how he now knows for sure that we're all here for HIM just him, him knowing that the passion and energy is all for HIM, and that venues are getting bigger because of the ridiculous demand because he's just doing that amazing. Louis talking about basically how this tour has been bigger than what he expected but he just knows how adored he is. Yeah that. Knowing that makes me feel warm and golden on the inside because he deserves it so fucking much. He made it.

Louis says in the IGTV segment on Wembley (thanks to @elceeu2morrow for the transcription):

“Tour in a general has been bigger and better than I imagined or speculated. This venue does mean a lot to me. I’ve had a lot of special moments here, so. This is almost the epitome of the idea of the tour. And in general, me career, you know, going really well at the moment— better than maybe I imagined it, it would have done, a couple of years ago. And I know when I walk out tonight, that it’s not just, that it’s not— ironically— it’s not just the size. It is, there’s a feeling here, and I’ll feel like a sense of accomplishment when I walk out tonight. I’ve done really special things here, you know, and over the course of me career. So to be here again, but completely on me own for a sold-out tour show is. Yeah, it feels maddening.”

Watching this segment, and trying to understand what Louis meant when he said that his career was “better than what he imagined two years ago”— when it took weeks to sell out 2000 capacity venues in the USA, and he was scheduled for 2000 capacity venues in London, when Walls fell off the charts after two weeks, when Syco was being absorbed into Sony and Arista basically disappeared for him after Walls was released, when his tour was postponed yet again, indefinitely, after years of waiting— there is a sense of catharsis and triumph finally to arrive at Wembley Arena, having sold it out in hours.

“It’s not just the size. I’ll feel a sense of accomplishment.”

This short clip has the same feeling as the AFHF documentary— one of relief for having survived, and joy for thriving. And most of all, gratitude to fans for seeing who he is and continuing to support him.

Maybe because of what Louis mentioned about his history at Wembley, the clips showcase more 1D music than usual, and the lyrics he includes make up a poignant love letter to the fans. Here they are in sequence:

Este es uno de los lugares a los que estaba más emocionado de ir cuando organizamos las fechas del tour. Hay una energía diferente, una emoción diferente. Hubo un tiempo, al inicio de mi carrera como solista, donde no estaba seguro si iba a ir de gira otra vez y llegar a Sudamérica era parte de eso porque es donde están mis mejores memorias de mi tiempo en la banda. Hubo un tiempo en mi vida, o en mi carrera como solista donde no estaba seguro si iba a venir aqui, así que eso hizo que el poder venir sea aún más dulce;

mi memoria lo tenía bien fijo, la multitud, y la energía, todo sobre este viaje hasta ahora ha sido especial. Creo que lo que lo hace diferente es que esta vez estoy aquí solo y que toda esa gente afuera del hotel o afuera del estadio... y tu sabes como solo estando en el momento y entendiendo que ellos están aquí por mí ahora y no por mi como parte de la banda. Así que eso me ha llenado de confianza, definitivamente.

Creo que desde la primera fecha del tour, absolutamente todo ha ido creciendo. Me gusta pensar que he mejorado como artista y como cantante. Los tamaños de los estadios han ido creciendo ha medida que cada parte del tour va pasando, y eso nos ha dado una chance de ir trabajando acerca de que es el show. Todo se siente más ajustado, grande y feliz. Hay una intensidad diferente, una interpretación distinta en lo que significa ser un fan aquí y se siente extra fanático y quizás eso es porque hay tanta pasión en la gente y puedes ver eso en todas las cosas, no solo en la música. Como en los deportes sudamericanos, específicamente en football que también es conocido por su ambiente increíble así que creo que hay algo mágico en esta gente.

La relación entre la banda y yo es definitivamente lo más cercana que ha sido nunca, creo que es la razón por la que el show se ve tan excitante. Lo mejor acerca de este tour es que cuando empezamos, cuatro meses atrás... la energía y la participación de la audiencia, si miras estos shows, no hay una persona que no este presente y dando algo a la multitud. Eso hace que sea uno de los mejores lugares en el mundo para ir de gira, definitivamente.
