Mistigram: #Samhain is a Gaelic holiday marking the end of the harvest season, coinciding with #Halloween. And here we have a @horsenburger #teletext portrait of #SamHain, a creepy little kid serving as the main monstrous antagonist in the 2007 horror film #TrickRTreat. This screen was included in the spooky new MIST1023 artpack collection.

Mistigram: Eric Draven's nemesis, #TopDollar, is played by #MichaelWincott in 1994's film adaptation of #TheCrow.  This monochrome #teletext portrait of the character was drawn by @atonalosprey and included in the spooky new MIST1023 artpack collection.

Mistigram: this pointy #ASCIIart logo by @atonalosprey reads #Leviathan, indicating the Biblical sea monster. Looks like it might describe a badass metal band, but actually the design comes from a 2012 documentary of the same name about the fishing industry. Hardcore! Mistigram: this #ANSIart portrait of The #Kurgan, played by #ClancyBrown in the 1986 movie #Highlander, is the centrepiece of a scroller drawn by Zeus II to compete in the recent Flash Party demoparty, taking 8th place in its competition. Mistigram: nothing to be scared of, just enjoying the cool night air with my flesh off. Just taking a rest, can't seem to catch my breath without lungs in. (Wonder what's bringing all the flies out tonight?) This #ASCIIart screen is the handiwork of @vermileonhart and was included in the spooky new MIST1023 artpack collection.

Mistigram: Halloween is very soon... and yet we waited almost until that spooky holiday was on the very threshold to share the creepy contents of our new MIST1023 artpack collection. I hear you ask: _but why?_ It turns out that many of the submissions to this artpack were doing double duty as entries competing in competitions in Argentina's @flashparty.ar demoparty which took place this weekend, eligible only if they had not previously been publicly shared. So we waited impatiently for the results to be posted, and the moment the compo results had been announced, our artpack went live. Mistigram: of course, there are those traditionalists who feel that an artpack is giving its viewers short shrift unless it features more of a focus on the old warhorses #ANSIart and #ASCIIart, so here is a sampling of works in those mediums featuring in the spooky new MIST1023 artpack collection.

Mistigram: today we're terrified of this @AtonalOsprey #teletext portrait of the most frightening character #TomHanks has ever portrayed on #SNL, the notorious and perplexing #DavidSPumpkins. This screen was included in the spooky MIST1023 artpack collection released one year ago.
