Notes:

This song is the introduction to the Black Cat Hotel. I absolutely love the whimsical atmosphere and the interplay of the staff and the narration, I think it sounds like a musical! Overall this reminds me a lot of Hotel Transylvania, but a much more detailed and interesting setting.

I plan to translate the whole album at some point, but for now I'll just introduce it. Like many of Mamyukka's albums, its so much more than the music!

The album also comes with a hotel guide in addition to the foldout with lyrics and stories. I'll try to get around to translating it, but there is a lot of content here! The first side is all text, but the back side has profiles of our charming staff:

Hi Kero! I just wanted to let you know I am so excited for Eyes/On and any projects you make in the future. Curious what the inspiration(s) to create a semi-long form project like this was?

It's a long one!

I had a failed story I was working on called Lilypad Mall that never did see the light of day. It had a 11 page work document and focused on my frog girl Keroline. Looking back, the project was really unfocused and all over the place, designs didn't have much connection between each other.

Ultimately I scrapped it back in 2021 as I lost interest in it and left to do other things. Focusing on character design practice and whatever I was going to do with the vtuber design I had made.

The whole vtuber thing was going to be general whatever streams of me working or me playing games, with a small animation series meant to tell a backstory of how the character came to be. The basic rundown of that story was first person torture, but I kinda ran out of ways to show body horror and torture from a first person view and tell a story on the side. This is where the name "Eyes/On" came from! I simply kept it because I couldn't think of a better name after the story shifted.

This iteration of Eres was also primarily evil, focusing on her being a mad witch focusing on experiments and making monsters. This whole project was really ambitious and made me realize I dunno if I could stream that often!

So I focused on retooling that story into something else and salvaging the designs. You could say that Eyes/On has been in the works since 2019! As for the current iteration of the story, it's heavily inspired by the shows and music that involve a larger world with tons of other life taking place in it.

Things like Made in Abyss, Houseki no Kuni, Somali and the Forest Spirit, The Ancient Magus' Bride, music from the talented Mamyukka with songs like 蒼の海底都市, アストロノミア, あやかしばなし, and the whole Evilz album.

There's definitely more, but this post is already getting long enough! But I got a little more left to say.

For the side project, it's main inspiration is mostly from my own feelings, partly my dreams, and Yumi Nikki. If it ever does end up becoming a bigger thing I've got a lot of ideas for imagery and designs that I can't do for Eyes/On that I'd love to use for it.

「Dream d*Live festa SP ～どやさいたま！2018東の陣～」に参加しました。

もう１週間経ってしまったけど 時間とれて楽しい記憶を書き残すために…。

仕事では秋葉原行ったり、船橋行ったり首都圏にはお邪魔しているけど プライベートでは去年の12月以来の首都圏遠征。

前日またまた21時まで仕事で（大体都内行く前は21時までのとき多い） ろくに準備せず爆睡して朝慌てて荷造りした。 村→水戸駅から東京行きのバス乗り込んだ。 今回はGWにもかかわらず渋滞にはまらず２時間程度でついた。

秋葉原で買い物した後 今回のライブ会場である西川口 LIVE HOUSE Heartsへ。 秋葉原での買い物手こずったから、事前物販には間に合わず…（５分差ｗ）

今回のライブはどやフェス名物「たこ焼き」が振舞われたり オリジナルドリンクがあったり かなり趣向を凝らした異色のライブと言える。 あと、ちなさんの曲で「ガムシロップは飲み物です！」という曲があって 本当ところどころでこだわりが伺えて良い意味で笑えるｗ

オープニングアクトは「新・おばあちゃんち feat.いずみあや」さん。

最初、あっ、きっといずみあやさんが後発の方なんだ…と思ったら KEiNAさんが後発の方で なんでいずみあやさんだけハブ…featで括られてるからと言うと 孫感がすごい出てるからだそうです…ｗ

ライブ会場と次の日M3でお話させていただきましたが……確かに！！そんな感じする！ｗ あとぼくも焼肉〇角大好きです。

ちなみに自分は茨城出身なんですかいずみあやさんも茨城にルーツがあるそうで 親近感がとても湧きました。

で、ライブはオープニングアクトからとても楽しませていただきました。 どやフェス自体初見だけど 冬コミでちなさんと仲村芽衣子さんのサークルに立ち寄っていて 前々から予習はしていた。 なので「Shooting☆Heart」がいきなり飛んできたときにはほんと高まってしまった、オタクなので。 仲村芽衣子さんの楽曲で１、２争うレベルで好きな曲。

１番手は「KEiNA」さん。

みなとカーニバルから発売されたPCゲーム、「辻堂さんのバージンロード」で曲歌っていたな… そのくらいしか正直知識はなかったんだけど 歌、楽曲とてもよかった。

最後に歌った「Innocent Salvation」が速いBPM帯ですごい疾走感を感じて自分好みの曲。 MCは結構緩い感じだけど、歌は本格派って感じでギャップが良いアクセントとして効いているお姉さんでした。 新譜にワイルド（笑）なサインいただけたり、色々と喋らせていただけてとても楽しかった。

２番手は「Mamyukka＆まめこ」さん 今回はまめこさんおひとりでの出演。

SAGA PLANETSの「フローラル・フローラブ」のED歌唱されている方だ…と PCゲーマーの知識でしかないけど 曲はずいぶんイメージと違って １曲目の「宇宙ラヂオ」はとてもポップでキュートでとても好きな曲。 体が揺らしやすいメロディとリズムで初見から楽しむことができた。 これ、後でほしいからBOOTHのDL版でいただくことにします…！

３番手は「綾瀬理恵」さん

いきなりsummer clockのタケルさんVer飛んできていきなり涙するワイオタク。 音源化してほしい曲No1ですね…。

ゆいまーる☆わーるどは商業曲のイメージだから完璧予想外。 ただこういうフェスだと初見でも合いの手がわかりやすいし乗りやすい曲だし ぼくも元気にはいたい！はいたい！した、楽しかった。

hugは聞いた瞬間「あぁ………」とオタクみたいな声だして崩れ落ちました。 聞きたい曲No1だよ…hugはダメだ…理恵さん…尊い…あぁ…（ｒｙ←オタク丸出しで気持ち悪いので省略しました

月影シンフォニアも速いBPM帯の４つ打ち曲でこれもライブ受けしそうで良い曲。 歌詞はCDいただいたのでしっかり読んでどんな世界観かな…とまだ読めてないので楽しみ。

で、まさかまさかまじてんのお二方と理恵さんがSNS歌うとは……。 こんなん予想できなかったし危険球退場ですよ。（褒め言葉

これもゆいまーる☆わーるどに似た感じで合いの手が簡単でライブで盛り上がりやすい曲で 今回はフェスだから盛り上がり重視で初見さんに優しい良いセトリだなーと素人ながらに思った。 とても楽しかった！

MCは…初見の方だときっとイメージと違って驚いた方多いだろうけど 理恵さんはいつもあんな感じｗ緊張すると笑いが止まらなくなるサイコパスな方なので…（（

４番手は急遽出演が決まった「中恵光城」さん 正直見れると思わなかったのでめちゃくちゃ嬉しい出演。

商業でPCゲーム歌っているの知っていて GWAVEやOP,ED担当されているゲーム買う時もあって好きな曲も数々あって とっても好きなアーティストのひとり。 恋色の花咲く頃（SAGA PLANETS フローラル・フローラブ）やLet there be light（Lump of sugar 花色ヘプタグラム）が好き。

で、お恥ずかしながら光城さんの同人作品は何一つ知らなくて…… どやさいたまはとても良い機会になった。

１曲目の「アルリシャの星図」はファンタジーな世界観で多重コーラスが特徴で 普段こういう曲はあまり聞かない（というかどこでこんなジャンルあるかわからないｗ）けど好きです。

３曲目の「黒猫論」は好きなジャズで最高！！！！ もともとクラブミュージックが好きなぼくですが、すごいラウンジで栄えそうな曲で…良いです、本当。 なんで今までABSOLUTE CASTAWAY知らなかったんだろう…と思う良いライブでした。

５番手は「桃箱＆miko」さん

どやさいたまの演者紹介の動画のとき 桃箱＆mikoさんが選んだ曲はぼくの好きなyunomiさんが描いた曲に聞こえて めちゃくちゃ楽しみにしていた。

案の定物販で御本人様に聞いてみた所yunomiさんの楽曲だった。 １曲目の「走馬灯ラビリンス」はyunomiテイストが漂い その上に幼ない声を乗せる自分の好物な歌だったね。

元々は電波ソングがメインとのことで ３曲目の「ばぶみーべいべー」の雰囲気がすき。 今は電波ソングってあまり流行らなくなってしまったけど 昔の古き良きオタクの曲が大好きだから密かに追っていきたいな。

６番手は「夢乃ゆき」さん

この方は商業のPCゲームかなり歌われているイメージだったけど １曲も持ってなくて、どやさいたま来る前まではよく知らないと言うのが正直なところ。

ただ、１番衝撃受けたアーティストさんでしたね…。 商業であんなに歌っているのに何故ボーカルの質の高さに気が付かなかったのか。

ライブで聞いた曲はもちろんすべて初見だったけど １曲目「カレイドスコープ」から高まってしまった。 M3も混じえてすべてCD買いました。 バンドサウンドから4つ打ちにバラードなどとても多彩で 好きになるまで時間はかからなかったな。 南東北地方は情報来るのが遅いので知らなくてごめんなさいって感じでした（ 水戸のメロンブックスにも委託あってなんか嬉しい気分になった。

７番手は「yuiko」さん。

商業のPCゲームソングを長らく歌われているアーティストさんで 最近だとラプラシアンの「キミトユメミシ」がお気に入り。 そんなyuikoさんのライブを観る機会に恵まれたのはとても嬉しい。

MCがとても印象的。 ちなさんや仲村芽衣子さんやはなさんを昔から知るらしく ベテランのアーティスト感が出ていて、トークも歌も説得力があった。 そして、はなさんのカラオケCD忘れ事件バラしたのはとても面白かったｗ

そしてそして、まさか恋×シンアイ彼女の挿入歌が聞けるとは…。 これだけで着てよかったと思いましたね。

8番手は「はな」さん

yuikoさんにMCでCD忘れの件バラされ 出鼻くじかれていて（笑）和やかなムードからはなさんの時間が始まった。

この方もPCゲームソングもそうだけど 歌い手時代から知っている方なので なんかどやさいたまは自分が見たかったアーティストさんを いっぱい連れてくる良いイベントだな…としみじみ思った…ｗ

歌以外知らないので、どんな方かよく知らなかったが とてもMCが長い（yuikoさん談）けど面白い方で 綺麗な歌声とユーモアを兼ね備えた素晴らしい方でした。

はなさんのサークル「forest」から全曲持ってきていて どれも初見だったけど、良い曲で良い声でした……。 １曲目の「Let's Go!」が特によかったなー。

ラストは主催の「Magi×TeN」さん

いきなり「Magical×TemptatoN」でもうテンションは最高潮でしたね。 初見だけど好きな曲だったのでもうとりあえず騒ぎました。

「Miracle×TemptatoN」「Angelic Girls」「はぴねすトラベル♪♪」 なんか聞きたい曲ほぼ聞けた気がする。

どれもライブ受けが良い曲ばかりで初見なのにこんなに楽しんだことはないかも…？ って思うくらい楽しんだ！

特にちなさん歌うところ見れて本当によかった。 エロゲーマーのぼくとしては 同棲ラブラブルでちなさんが歌っていた「描いてた夢」で歌声に一目ぼれして 去年の冬コミでやっとお会いすることができて 今回のどやさいたまで歌うところ観れて更によかった。

今度はソロ曲聞けるように聞けるようなライブに足を運びたい…！

どやさいたま（＋M3）での戦利品！

ひとつ後悔しているのは新・おばあちゃんちfeat.いずみあや（さん） お姉さん方に癒されたので、アクキーを全部買えばよかったということ…。

とりあえず推し（綾瀬理恵さん）と推し（ちなさん）とラブラブル（ちなさんが歌唱したゲーム）で好きな花穂ちゃんを繋げましたｗ

そしてポストカードはちなさんのいただきました！ありがとうございます！

個人としては綾瀬理恵さんのことずっと応援しているけど グループとしては新おばあちゃんち、まじてんのことを応援したいなと思った。

物販から俺のM3は始まった！って感じだったなｗ 色んな方回らせていただいて、お話させていただけて本当に良い時間でした。 芽衣子さんと光城さんの旧譜、とりあえずあるだけ買ってしまったｗ 途中でM3のサークル回っている途中に残金がゼロになったのは良い思い出です。

イベント自体、同人音楽フェスなのに100人強集めていて凄いなと思ったし キャストさん見れば豪華でそれは妥当かなとも思うけど… でもただキャストさんが豪華なだけなイベントではなくて 凄い考えられたイベントで お世辞抜きで大阪のどやフェスが行きたくなるイベントでした。 うまくまとまらないｗ 大阪ってまた生涯で１度しか足を運んだことがない。 大阪小旅行を兼ねて、どやフェスを楽しめる機会を作りたいな。

イベントに関わった皆様、お疲れ様でした！　　

今度は大阪で楽しみたい！＼楽しみたい！／
