Portrait at the aquarium last month. Almost overlooked this shot as it was poorly exposed but a few adjustments in post made it one of my favorite recent portraits. .

Back in the studio this week wrapping up some client projects shot over the past month, also working on promo materials and a web update. This photo was shot earlier this year while working on a client project in the Bay Area.

Flashback to 14k ft peaks in the Alps and a view of Interlaken. I found a lot of old photos that I reworked over the summer with better post-production skills than I had when I shot this.

I recently photographed a story on cryonics for Vice Magazine in the "Future of Tech" Issue out this month. I photographed a cryonic facility in Scottsdale, Arizona, called the Alcor Life Extension Foundation. Cryonics is the science of preserving human life with the intent of restoring good health when technology becomes available.

The cooling room at Alcor houses thermal flasks containing up to 4 'cyonauts' suspended in liquid nitrogen. The facility currently houses 149 patients. You can read the story online here: Vice Online

The book I created from my project "Some Days We Caught Rainbows" is part of the INFOCUS Juried Exhibition of Self-Published Photobooks at the Phoenix Art Museum. I am extremely proud to have this book on display at the exhibition that opened on Friday December 2 and runs through April 9, 2017.

"Some Days We Caught Rainbows" is a long-term project about how I dealt with the transition of becoming a father for the first time. Creating this project for me started off as a way to document moments in life before they faded into memories and a way for Maisy to remember her childhood. When I took these pictures, I was always wondering “when you’re older, what will you remember?” The accompanying text is an imagined conversation I am having with her at an older age… talking about those younger days.
