hi everyone!! i’m so sorry i’ve been gone (for quite a while eeek), but i’m ready to hop back in. i’ve read a ✨lot✨of ffs since i’ve been gone- more than i’d like to admit bahaha, but i’ve also started and gotten invested in lots of new shows, here are some of my (new-ish) favorites!!

- daredevil (matt murdock 🥰🥰)

- spider-man(s) (nwh) and other marvel-y shows

- euphoria (i really wanna write for elliot (even tho opinions on him are mixed)and maybe a non-terrible nate? or rue? )

- the marauders (specifically regulus black, but also i love all of them- i don’t know a lot about the girls though :/)

- bo burnham… (i’m kinda iffy on writing about real people so we’ll see what y’all think and how comfy i feel)

- (i wanna get back into) the 100!! i really wanna write for bellamy and maybe finn??

- loki and bucky (my faves from the mcu)

- space force (hmm idk… maybe ben swartz’s character (whoops forgot his name) or dr. chan)

- new girl (literally any of the main characters lmao, but specifically nick i think)

- jane the virgin (i really don’t know if i’m team raf or michael so both ig! also her ex boyfriend (i forget his name)!!)

- AMERICAN HORROR STORY (whoa when i was last here, i hadn’t even seen an episode- i wanna write for the langdons and violet the most… i’ve only seen murder house, apocalypse, 1989, and the first half of the new season)

i really wanna do more headcannons, A-Z’s, and “how __ would react to__”’s, because i like doing them and i daydream 24/7 so i have tons of ideas.

as for things i don’t want to write for anymore:

not much really- i’m less into the harry potter golden era, but i’d still write for them. i don’t really wanna write for julie and the phantoms anymore, the show is cancelled (i think?) and i think i just outgrew it :(((.

An immense wave of images crashes against the exhibition wall in C/O Berlin. In his installation 24HRS in Photos, Dutch artist Erik Kessels forces viewers to wade through a sea of 350,000 standard photo prints wildly thrown onto each other. They depict the mass of images uploaded onto the image sharing site Flickr in one day fifteen years ago. Yet despite their sheer mass, the number now appears comically small. Now, the digital mountain of images on Instagram and Facebook grows by many millions of snapshots each day, images that have long ceased to be developed and printed in photo labs and instead circulate from one screen to the next via colorful ethernet cables and wireless connections.

Photography has always been a social medium that has been shared with others. But why do people communicate with each other using images? And how do the “virtual distillates” of photographs change society? The thematic exhibition Send me an Image . From Postcards to Social Media outlines the development of photography from a means of communication in the nineteenth century to its current digital representation online. The focus is on the dialogue between historical forms of traveling images from photography over the past 150 years and contemporary artists from the 1970s onwards who work with both traditional and modern photographic techniques, uses, and means of communication.

The exhibition considers the transformation of photography from an illustrative medium to one of society’s most significant means of communicating today. At the same time, the works shown illuminate phenomena such as censorship, surveillance, and the algorithmic regulation that affect many activities in a data-driven era. Today, images shared via social media not only spread rapidly but can also take on an independent newsworthiness and as “pure” messages can even spark different kinds of protests. The social dimensions of image communication is a second area of focus in Send me an Image . From Postcards to Social Media at C/O Berlin, curated by Felix Hoffmann and Dr. Kathrin Schönegg. A publication by Steidl Verlag appears on the occasion of the exhibition.

The first photo of junior ASU quarterback Jayden Daniels was taken by the Associated Press’s Matt York, the second -- of the student section -- comes from Sun Devil Athletics. Both photos merge together to create the illustration that signifies the student section behind Daniels, rooting him on to success. EL PASO, Texas – May 8, 2021 – Forward Leandro Carrijo Scores Stoppage Time Goal to End Level in Home Opener

EL PASO, Texas – May 8, 2021 – El Paso Locomotive FC hosted New Mexico United at Southwest University Park on Saturday night, stealing a point at the death of the match through a second-half stoppage goal by Forward Leandro Carrijo. Forwards Luis ‘Lucho’ Solignac and Aidan Apodaca as well as Midfielder Diego Luna made their debuts for Locomotive.

“We haven’t played a game in the first weeks,” stated Head Coach Mark Lowry. “New Mexico has been playing with a Phoenix friendly and an RGV regular-season game. We’ve been sitting at home waiting around, so I thought the guys did a great job. The resilience and the toughness of the group was fantastic. They only had one chance to score, and they scored it. We had three or four chances, better opportunities in the final third, that on another day we probably score, and they go in and the game looks different.”

What started off as a tense back and forth for both sides in the first half, quickly turned into the usual heated rivalry by the second half. Both sides opened the match testing each other’s defense as Forward Aaron Gomez rifled a shot down the middle to force United goalkeeper Alex Tambakis into a big save. Meanwhile, Amando Moreno tried to sneak past Goalkeeper Logan Ketterer but came up short as Ketterer protected the net.

The stalemate came to a quick end through New Mexico United’s Devon Sandoval who cleaned an open goal in the 57th minute. Locomotive kicked their game into high gear, making strong work of their chances with attempts that would sail just wide. Coach Lowry breathed new life into the match with late-game substitutions that ultimately led to the youngest Locomotive debut, Luna, to cross the ball to Gomez, who headed it back into the path of Carrijo in the final minute for the equalizing goal.

UP NEXT: El Paso Locomotive takes a bye week for its second week in USL Championship, returning to action on Saturday, May 22 at Southwest University Park against Rio Grande Valley FC. NM: Devon Sandoval (Harry Swartz), 57th minute: Off a quick counter, Harry Swartz brought the ball in down the left-wing, where Logan Ketterer rushed out to meet him just on the other side of the six-yard-line. Swartz used the opportunity to send the pass into the path of Sandoval, who cleaned up the open goal to put United in a second-half lead.

ELP: Leandro Carrijo (Aaron Gomez, Diego Luna), 95th minute: With his quick feet, Diego Luna out dribbled the United defenders to open himself up for a cross to the far post, finding the head of Aaron Gomez, who redirected to the center of the box into the path of Carrijo. Carrijo took the shot on the first touch, tucking the equalizing goal into the bottom corner.

- Locomotive kicked off its third season in USL Championship, hosting its Southwest rival, New Mexico United, playing to a draw with a goal apiece to open the season.

-  New faces debuted for El Paso Locomotive FC with FW Luis Solignac making an appearance in the Starting XI playing for 78 minutes while Diego Luna and Aidan Apodaca made their debuts as subs in the 78th and 63rd minute respectively.
