Ellie has explored a lot of the surface world over the last couple of years, but now she has a new place to explore, the entire ocean! Obviously to explore the ocean a little easier she changes her form to that of a mermaid so she can live out every little girl's fantasy (at least according to Jazz) At least until Aquaman finds a child mer exploring the ocean. He and Mera always wanted a daughter. His rage when he finds out she's a clone made by a man she calls "The Bastard" against her template's will will be breathtaking to see.

Okay, what parts of the movie were your FAVORITE and why? (Also sorry aquadude orm is HELLA fine af.)

you hardly need to apologise as i sob from the beauty of patrick wil.son on a daily basis… i mean have you heard that man sing??? umm but anyway let’s not go down that road…

SPOILERS AHEAD (LIKELY)

thomas and atlanna, THEY ARE MY BABIES!!! their story in the comics is an equal favourite of mine to arthur and mera tbh, it’s such a lovely fairy tale like thing, but also very bitter-sweet, their love is super important for me because it was so beautiful and its fruit was arthur! the fact that they included the detail of thomas going out on the pier every morning is 100% comic accurate and IT BREAKS MY HEART!!! but i love good sadness and that’s premium sadness right there i have a lot of feelings about thomas anyway, like props to the man he raised arthur alone but made him such a good boy.

i loved how they slipped in the depth of arthur’s character, though it annoys me that people choose to not pick up on it, and call him a dumbass, but they show that arthur is highly educated, speaks several languages and has a very good knowledge of history as well, i loved to see him be more sensitive and caring, because the justice league version made me cry but that wasn’t good sadness. THE ROSE BIT IS SO CUTE! doesn’t happen in the comics but i adored it, 10/10

i was worried about orm, because he’s not like that in the comic and i was very protective of him, not wanting him to be seen as just a stereotypical villain, but i was glad we had that small moment at the end, arthur offering the olive branch so they can reconcile

BLACK MANTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh my god yahya is literally 100% perfect, the suit made me sob tears of joy, because it’s gorgeously comic accurate and they even made a nod to his old comic helmet which is the one he first experiments on! yahya just has black manta down perfectly, he is such a dark, menacing character with so much rage and determination and also very damn intelligent and he just had absolute force to his screen presence like you couldn’t look away and with the mid-credits scene, i’m hoping to get a manta focused second film, AND NOW HE WILL HAVE HIS SCAR TOO, which also made me happy, like they got down to that detail. AND ALSO HIS THEME IN THE SOUNDTRACK, one of the best ones i just… love him. 

DOCTOR SHIN!! his role is relatively small in the comic but VERY IMPORTANT, so to actually see him become a part of it and hopefully see more of him in the second film I’M SO HERE FOR THIS!!!

mera was like the comics, from her look to her personality, she is headstrong, confident, driven and a complete badass, it was perfection!
