Mod Status ~ Patch 1.112

So after a quick check, I can’t see immediate issues with my mods so I’m going to go ahead and clear them for the patch. I haven’t had a great deal of time to check everything thoroughly so do please let me know if you encounter any issues. I do also apologise for being late but unfortunately, I’ve had a lot going on in real life lately and I’m just not around as much as I’d like to be at the moment.

Make sure you’ve got the latest version of Core Library since most of my mods require that.

CURRENT STATUS: (10/23/24: recent patch had seemingly no effect on these) - death by vampire thirst appears to be broken. you could try 🖱️this mod on mts🖱️ for now. - chocolate lethality for werewolves was broken but i updated it 🖱️here🖱️ (its still uses core library) - misc micromanagement still works - teens can fight adults still works - nerfed/no werewolf/vampire dislike was broken but is now updated 🖱️here🖱️. choose 1 package. - no negative plasma fruit buff was partially broken (a string issue with the angrywolf versions) and updated 🖱️here🖱️ - misc tweaks should still work, the hungrier/less tired werewolves, sad guilty drinker buff, and no tense buff on pets definitely do. the others are a little harder to test... - temperaments affect needs should still work but is again hard to test lol - vampire rebalance seems to be working but is also hard to test. uh

CAS Lightings for Horses

So I had a quick look today and I don't think I need to update my CAS lightings for horses (nor would I actually know how).

It seems that the CAS lighting for horses works differently than CAS lightings for other sims.

Inside CAS, horses actually have their own fancy lighting with this blue/orange glow.

Same is used for the individual household picture/travelling picture.

And only the first household picture uses the "normal" CAS lighting.

I also don't see any separate CAS lighting files for horses (unlike for cats and dogs).

Horses seem to use the same file that is used for human sims - in the first household picture.

However, it's unclear to me where the parameters for the new fancy lighting are stored.

I assumed I can/will need to update my CAS lightings for horses by adding an additional file (like for cats and dogs). But now I think I can't but also don't need to because:

It works in the first household picture (it uses the default file which is already included) and that's what matters. If it didn't, it would actually mess up the lighting as a whole in the household picture (for example, when you use a CAS lighting that doesn't support cats and dogs, the picture becomes dark for households with cats and dogs).

That new lighting actually looks nice. And as long as it's only used for the horse in CAS/for the horse in the individual picture, I don't mind, and I don't think most people will.

Mod Status

Most of my mods need an update. (Except Custom Club Interactions and Bug Fixes!) However, if you have all EPs, GPs and SPs installed, you’ll be fine.

Since the Group ID feature requires a lot of time to fix, I’ll try to fix it with a new tool instead. Expect several days until I make everything work.

Dog names: Female names finished, male names currently being updated

Horse names: Not started

Non-English names: Barely started (got medieval German surnames to replace the Japanese names)

Taking a small break from writing after posting a bunch of things to work on my other passion: messing with things. Ever since I was a little girl I came up with the Grey Warden Bellara headcanon, I wanted to give her a GW-themed recolour, and I'm finally sitting down to work on it :)

Lots of rough spots on it for now, but. I'll trust the process.

Mod Updates ~ Life & Death EP ~ Batch 1

I've got a large number of updates today, although many are not in any way related to the new EP. Updates for compatibility with the new expansion may spill over to tomorrow and possibly next week, depending on how large the updates need to be. So please bear with me while I work on them.

Batch 1 was updated Friday morning (1st November 2024) and contains small fixes and updates that were not related to the patch.

Batch 2 will be for The Big 4 (Custom Wants, Hopes & Fears, The Personality Mod and The Hobby Mod) and will be uploaded either this afternoon or tomorrow morning.

Batch 3 will contain small fixes for my careers as well as any other minor compatibility addons.

Continuing my quest for some nice short haircuts to put on Aylin, I found one that's really grown on me in the mod "Simple Hairstyles" by Cerberry on Nexus. It's the little Superman curl that gets me, I think. I just find it charming.

Target audience seems to love it, so who am I to argue.

It also holds up when you mercilessly stick Aylin in thirst trap outfits apparently intended for... shadow druids? So here we are.
