Skylar was born on a warm summer day and according to her mother, she was a complete accident. The youngest of the Jackson family... Sky was definitely not a planned baby 

That didn’t let her down - she started singing before she could even really speak but she was never allowed to express it, her parents were busy with her other siblings and their needs, Skye mostly fell to the sidelines and was raised by her other siblings and herself

Skye kept her head down and tried her best to stay out of the limelight and out of her parents way - that usually ended up going in her favour but as she got older, the less she started to care 

She started smoking weed when she was fourteen and knew that this was something she could enjoy for the rest of her life, she still smokes before bed every night to help kick the nightmares

When she was in high school, she was mean. she didn’t know how to express herself or her emotions, so she lashed out... at anyone who was around usually... she never got into physical fights but those who knew her then would call her a bully, Skye didnt care... she wasn’t getting the attention she wanted at home, so she lashed out at school 

She started writing around this time too, it was something that came naturally to her and soon, all she could think about was getting out of hidehill and become a singer.... things didn’t exactly work out in her favour, like usual. 

her father died and that really made skye want to change a new leaf, she tried to reach out to those who she bullied and attempted to make amends but most didn’t want anything to do with her

Skye attempted to rebuild a relationship with her mother but the woman didn’t really want anything to do with, they fought constantly, disagreeing on everything and anything and the final straw was when she found out her mother lied about everything that happened with her brother... she confronted her and instead of apologizing, her mother started to list everything back to her like it was Skye’s fault

Now Skye lives in Hide Square alone and works at Rose Salon... She didn’t want to go to college but she finally has started to get enough confidence to start auditioning to preform live in hidehill

To be honest, there were a lot of things I already knew before listening to the 70,000+ files but there were also some things I was unaware of. So here’s what I really learned or am glad I got confirmation on:

Contrary to popular belief, Whitehorse didn’t just turn a blind eye on what Eden’s Gate was doing. Even though, before the Reaping, they were peaceful and just stockpiling, he was suspicious and decided to write a report he sent to the state and to the FBI. Nobody did anything. Whitehorse did try to do something but no one helped him.

The bombs that destroyed the USA at the end of the game were most likely North Korean.

Absolution and New Dawn’s canonicity is… debatable. For Absolution, it makes total sense because the book was written months before the game’s release by someone who was not part of the dev team and who had to write a story based on an unfinished scenario but, for New Dawn, I really don’t understand what happened.

The Book of Joseph is mostly canon. No information about Inside Eden’s Gate, though. It kind of contradicts the game’s cinematic intro but this intro is not canon to me anyway.

Peaches was spayed. I secretly hoped she was the mother or grandmother of New Eden’s cougars in New Dawn but it’s impossible. Unless they retconned that too, of course. And she does bring dead animals as gifts.

Dutch can’t hunt or be in the woods because it reminds him of Vietnam. Grace used to be afraid of heights but managed to get over her fear by climbing a tower a little higher each day. May May says Merle drinks because his girlfriend left him but Grace thinks it’s because his high school friends died in an accident at the reservoir. Either way, it’s pretty sad. Sharky is lactose intolerant and has “ADD” but he wasn’t a furry before New Dawn. Wheaty is allergic to “pretty much anything with fur” and never washes his clothes. As a consequence and since he showers only once a week, he smells really bad.

Charles, Tweak, and Virgil are all cinnamon rolls in their own way. If Charles changes the subject every time Virgil asks why he hasn’t started a family yet, it’s not because he’s shy. Tweak might be left-handed. Casey, Chad, Sarah, Skylar, and Walker are underrated characters. According to Adelaide, whom I consider an expert in this area, Zip is a terrible, terrible lover.

We already knew about the infamous watery mac-n-cheese but Sharky also says he ate the worst potato salad in his life at one of the cult’s barbecues. Eden’s Gate members truly can’t cook.

Joseph isn’t your typical cult leader and doesn’t take advantage of his followers. He genuinely believes he is the good guy and cultists think they are doing the right thing. The Judges were his idea. Or God’s, I guess, since he got this idea in a “vision”.

John is the best interrogator and knows Jerome’s most secret secrets (whatever they are). He is also an efficient lawyer. Sadly, civilians have no respect for him and fear him less than they fear his siblings. They also say he is a “control/neat freak”. His bunker is the cult’s pantry.

John’s obsession with the Deputy is not just a figment of the fandom’s collective imagination. I’m not saying he really is “in love” or “attracted” to them because that’s still speculation but he canonically can’t function properly because of them.

And last but certainly not least, Faith is not in danger. She is the danger.

HISTORY

The Owens household had been perfect in the public eye but it was pure darkness once the doors were closed. Her father was an alcoholic and her mother was the type to turn her head whenever he had his fits. If it hadn’t been for her saving grace, her older brother, Shawn, the young blonde would have never been able to handle her childhood. Skylar idolized her older brother, wanting nothing more than to make the male proud. She did her best in school and did her best to keep herself out of trouble, knowing it would only make their lives easier in the long run, especially with the struggles the two of them had to deal with at home. Sometimes she was actually the one who was the older sibling and he was the one who was trailing down the road of trouble, but she knew the second she graduated from high school and got him out of that house, everything was going to better.

The second Skylar graduated, the two siblings packed up their bags and put them into the car. It was time for a new start for the pair and the young blonde couldn’t have been more excited for their journey to begin. Once the two of them got to Chicago, it didn’t take long for Skylar to find a job at the local diner a few blocks away from their new apartment. She even found herself enrolling in a couple of art night classes, knowing now that they were out of the grasps of their parents that the two of them were going to be able to do whatever they wanted. Her brother even enrolled in some classes to become a therapist for children who had to deal with parents the way the two of them had to. However, it didn’t take long for a shift in her brother to occur, with the male dropping out of his classes and acting shady.

Shawn would come strolling through the door at three or four in the morning with no explanation of where he had been or what he had been doing. Every time, Skylar tried to ask what was going on, the two of them would end up in screaming matches and the relationship that was once solid between them was breaking at the seams. She was finding it harder and harder to be in a room with him, because the path he was going down was a lot like their father’s. She found herself getting more and more paranoid about what Shawn could be doing that she started going through his things. In October of 2019, the blonde was finally met with the biggest fear of her life. She opened the apartment door to find cops standing in there, asking her to come with them and that there had been an accident. Her brother was spending his nights drinking and while stumbling out of a bar that night he walked right out into the road and was hit by a car… the only thing that never made sense to Skylar is if her brother was drunk the night he was hit, how come the medical records didn’t match?

Apprentice April Week 1

1. The Basics. What is your character’s name? How old are they? How tall are they? Skin color? Eye color? Hair color? Gender identification?

Skylar, 6’9”, male, dark brown skin, green eyes, curly black hair, 38 y/o

2.  Love Interest. Who does your character love? What attracted them to that particular LI?

Lucio, his main draw being that he really does have a one-of-a-kind personality. Even after meeting so many types of people Skylar still went 👀 when he first heard Lucio open his mouth. It also helps that he’s rather physically attractive. Their main bonding early on happened over their shared immense love of animals.

3. Familiar. Does your character have a familiar? How did they meet?

Skylar has Salsa, a bastard gremlin coyote. How they met is as much of an enigma as the coyote herself.

4. Hobbies. What kinds of things does your character like to do for fun?

You will never find him more than two feet away from a book and that is a threat. He gets outdoor activities in with the dogs, but isn’t a big fan of being outside unless there’s snow on the ground.

5. Hidden talents. Is there something neat that your character can do? Tie a cherry stem into a knot with their tongue? Say any word backwards perfectly?

Very good at constructing card houses, and excels at word problems.

6. Magical talents. Is there a specific type of magic that your character excels at? Any magic they aren’t so great at? Or do they actually shy away from magic altogether?

Skylar’s natural affinities are for fire magic. He does know party tricks, but doesn’t go out of his way to perform them.

7. Interaction. How does your character typically interact with people?

He likes listening to people and learning their stories. For those he becomes friends with he’s stellar at providing emotional support.

8. Romance. What is something that your character and their LI love to do together? How do they show affection?

If your shared love language is physical touch and you aren’t all up in each other’s business 24/7 are you really in a relationship?

9. Travel. Does your character like to travel outside of Vesuvia? How often? For how long? What kinds of things do they do away from home?

He loves travel! It was what he did for the bulk of his life before staying in Vesuvia. He did take a few trips here and there after coming to the city, but never as often or as long as before.

10. WTF. Has anything just…weird ever happened to your character? Something that made them stop and go “What just happened?!”

This was also the bulk of his life during his traveling years. Skylar tends not to be very observant, to the point that almost everything he had his attention drawn to could fit under this umbrella.

Staying in Vesuvia fits here as well. The most he'd ever remained in a place before then was a number of months instead of years.

11. Crime. Has your character ever been arrested? If so, what did they do? Have they ever helped stop a crime?

Never been arrested, no. But, constantly being in new places meant he accidentally busted a few minor laws he was unaware of. He has been detained, however. Thanks, Ilya.

12. Secrets. What is a secret that your character has? Are they in line for the throne in a far off land? Was there this one time at band camp…? Are they secretly involved in an assassin’s guild?

This man’s backstory is so secret I don’t know half of it. Skylar doesn’t intentionally keep secrets so much as he travels so often and meets so many people he’s fallen into the habit of not telling others deeper things about himself. Sure, he could go out of his way to make stronger connections and let people know more about him, but he’s gonna leave in a few weeks anyway.

He is from a noble household, and will tell people this if they ask, but he doesn’t bring it up on his own due to aforementioned reasons.

13. Overcompensation. Is there something that your character just HAS to do better than anyone else? Or are they just that dang good without trying? If they see someone else showing off, what is their kneejerk reaction?

Skylar’s not one for competition or proving he’s the best at anything. He knows his own worth.

14. Fight Club. Is your character a good fighter? What kind of skills do they have?

Despite his affinity for fire magic, he’s much more a defensive person than an offensive one. And he doesn’t care for violence much to begin with.

15. The Arts. Is your character a creative type? What kinds of things can they create? Can they act? Street perform?

Skylar knows a good bit about the arts, but doesn’t have an interest in doing them.

16. Goofy. Is your character a clown? Do they like to make people laugh?

Not outright goofy, but he has a dry wit and is a master of deadpan snark.

17. Language. Is your character multilingual? How many languages do they speak? Do they have an accent? Is it sexy? Is it silly? Do they have a multilingual lisp?

Skylar grew up in a multilingual home! I kept him to six (plus a smattering of words in others) because I didn’t want to outstretch Julian’s eight. His accent mostly comes out in different stresses on consonants and difficulties with some back-of-the-throat sounds. Part of the reason he has Julian’s blessing to keep calling him “Ilya” is that he had trouble with that pronunciation of J.

18. Embarrassment. What is something really embarrassing that your character has done/said?

Please give him a five hour grace period of ignoring his presence whenever he fucks up which word he meant to use.

19. Memory. Has your character gotten any of their memory back? If so, what? Did it change them?

He does get his memory back (all of it), but that being in my own AU that’s replaced game canon. In that he never got his memories back.

20. Family. Talk about your character’s family. Who were they?

Skylar’s immediate family consists of his mother, father, and two older sisters. They lived with aunts, uncles, and cousins of varying degrees: all descended from his grandmother (who he knew) and grandfather (who died early on in his childhood).

After Shawn’s death, Skylar went down the rabbit hole. She dropped out of college and there wasn’t a night that went by where the blonde wasn’t drunk and stumbling down the street. The one thing she had that was worth living for was snatched away from her due the crimes that spread through the streets and the anger she held was enough to have her starting fights with any person who looked at her the wrong way. It wasn’t until one night as she sat at the bar in the Moonlight Club when a familiar face from her past came strolling up next to her. Jay Mercer. The two of them got to talking and she took him home that night. It didn’t end there, the hooking up became more constant and eventually the two of them started seeing each other. A few months into their relationship, the woman started the male seemed to have a whole other life or something. It was until he ended up breaking down and telling her everything, bringing her into the folds of the life he was living.

The night Skylar went to Jay’s apartment to call him out on his shady behavior was when everything changed for the both of them. When she walked towards his apartment complex she heard sounds of a struggle in the alleyway and when she went around the corner she witnessed two figures fighting over something and suddenly there was a bang. It didn’t take her long to understand what she had witness, the only thing she didn’t prepare herself for was when the person who pulled the trigger looked over in her direction, it was a face she had grown to know very well. Jay’s. Instead of feeling the need to run away scared or call the cops, she jumped into gear and helped the male cover it up along with some help from another Devils member.

■ Jay Mercer: The two of them grew up next to each other back in their hometown and during one of her nights out, he happened to be her bartender. She decided to go home with him. Since that night the two of them haven’t stopped hooking up.

■ Ivanna Martinez: This woman was the person Alicia put her with to learn the ropes of the business, Iv is one of the few people she actually trusts and is willing to do whatever it takes to stay on her good side.

■ Adrian Petrov: Intrigued by him, the way he knows how to play a con. She wants to get to get know him and learn how to play a con exactly the way he does.

FATHER: CHRISTIAN LOMBARDI

Christian was born in a wealthy family of business men. They made their name in managing hotels and restaurants, making money just by breathing. He was promised to a similar future, but his parents divorced when he was still a kid and the situation was no longer the same. He spent the rest of his childhood living with his mother who wasted all the money his father saved for their future on lottery and pointless things. Through various jobs, Christian managed to pay for university tuition, but he failed to meet the required grades to pursue his studies. His biggest dream was to open a restaurant, and he was hoping a degree from the Institut d’Hôtellerie du Québec would help him out. Instead, he worked several jobs and saved as much money as possible to suffice himself, and eventually his girlfriend. He knew from their first date that he would marry that pretty waitress. There was something so magical about Monica, something that made him promise he would never let her go. And he never did. They raised two children together as best as they could and now that they’re all grown up he runs a little restaurant in La Petite Italie. He hopes he can retire soon, pass it on to his sous-chef and enjoy the last couple of good years with his wife.

MOTHER: MONICA “NIKKI” LOMBARDI née MARIANO

Monica was very different from her older brothers, Luciano and Frederico, she had no interest in big studies nor in leaving the country to find better jobs. She dropped out of high school and started working at a restaurant as a waitress alongsides Christian, who was then working in the kitchens. While still working there, she also helped her parents at the hair salon. A couple of years before Christian and Nikki welcomed their children, Nikki helped a childhood friend open her own kindergarten. She kept the three jobs for as long as she could, supporting both her own family and her mother. When Adamo was born, the parents decided that Christian would start working a little less. The decision for Christian to become a stay-at-home dad became official with the birth of Alessandra. He had to postpone his dreams so that Monica could fulfill hers. Eventually, she slowed down a bit, but it was hard for her. Nikki absolutely loved working and she did not regret it one bit, even though she sacrificed a lot of family times for the sake of providing for her children wom she loves deeply.

GRANDMOTHER (deceased): CORINNA MARIANO née SIMEONE

Born in Italy, she immigrated with her family before World War Two. The Simeone’s established in Massachussetts, precisely in Boston, where they ran an Italian delicatessen. She was born in a large family of 7 children, three sons and four daughters. Corinna, aged 18, moved to Montréal, Canada, when she met her husband, a veteran from the Canadian army named Dominic Mariano whose family were second generation italo-québécois. She started a hair salon in La Petite Italie and ran her business with the help of her husband until she hit the respectable age of 70 years-old. Corinna and Dominic had three children, Luciano, Frederico and Monica. The first two moved back to Massachussetts and opened a law firm together. Dominic died long before Corinna, whose favorite hobbies were to listen to clients at the salon and take care of her grand children.

She was especially close with Sandrine. Despite not agreeing to most of her life choices, and not knowing about Sandrine’s bisexuality, she was the closest she had ever been with her Nonna. She did not have to befriend anyone, since she had the only best friend she needed. That could explain why she is so terrible at initiating friendships nowadays. Her death was one of the saddest moments in Sandrine’s life, because she lost her confident and her mentor. She came to Boston to try and glue some puzzle pieces of her grandma’s past back together.

BROTHER: ADAMO “ADAM” LOMBARDI (faceclaim: skylar astin)

Adam Lombardi is a 35 years-old hockey player for the Boston Bruins. He graduated from the Université de Montréal in communications. He’s working on retiring from the hockey team very soon so he can go back to his roots. He was approached by a local Bostonian TV channel to join as a commentator for the games. Growing up, Adamo was a decent big brother. He would defend his little sister at school and help her learn how to skate, since he was so naturally talented at it. He was big into sports, but also in anything that demanded communication. He did improvisation in high school and that was when he knew he wanted to pursue into communications. however, life had other plans and his dedication to hockey took over his other ambitions. He was recruited by junior teams until he graduated university, and eventually by the Boston Bruins. He was not mad about it, considering how Montréal Canadiens was one of the worst teams in the whole league. He was approached by the Golden Knights of Las Vegas at some point, but the Bruins offered to increase his pay check to keep him around. And it worked.

Adamo and Alessandra have a very complex relationship. Growing up, they were extremely close. They were like soulmates. But when fame got to Adamo’s head, and when he moved to Boston for early trainings, he was never the same. He became entitled and noisy. He was not nurturing or caring, he was indiscreet and limitating. He still supports Sandrine with her projects, but they have their moments where they can’t stand each other. She loves him and could not see her life without him, but there is a lot they need to figure out in order to fix their relationship.

ABOUT THE KIDS LIVING AWAY

The Lombardi’s travelled at least twice a year to Massachussetts, so it was inevitable that Adamo and Alessandra developped a connection with this land. They appreciate the fact that Boston is not that far after all, so it’s easy for the parents to stop for a visit. They have this tradition of celebrating Christmas two times (their father is jewish, but after years of living among Italian catholics, they kind of grew to love Christmas). Mom, dad and big brother will all stop by Sandrine’s place for Christmas eve and day, leave on the 26th and the siblings will travel back to montréal from December 31st to January 2nd. This tradition might change though, but that’s usually their thing.

Alessandra visits them around once every two months and takes a whole week off to catch up with her parents. Adamo stops for a weekend less often. He grew to be more independent than his sister.

The parents respect that their children have ambitions, but they hope they will come back home eventually. Alessandra feels this pressure more than her brother, and it affects her. Even after 5 years in the states, she still does not really consider it a home. She does not understand one bit how anything works in the USA, much less the healthcare system. Her heart belongs in Montréal with her parents. She’s like homesick in her own house whilst Adamo is having the time of his life as a Bostonian. That’s another thing that causes them to drift away; he adjusted well while she is still struggling.

FUN FACTS

Adamo is surprisingly tall, compared to his sister and his parents.

When they were younger, Adamo and Alessandra used to play hockey in the street or on an ice ring. She was actually a talented shooter and, him, a terrible goalie. He taught his sister how to ice skate, focusing on speed and power rather than grace and ease. Therefore, it explains why Sandrine was the fastest student in all of her skating classes and competitions.

When she started competing across the province and needed a partner to rehearse her dances, Adamo did it. He was, again, surprisingly good at it.

In their house, there was an antique piano that belonged to Corinna’s family. She used to play it until she was too old to do it. She taught them how to sing along the melodies, hence why both can actually bat a tune.

Being a hair stylist (even without proper education), she taught Alessandra the basics of it. Quickly, Sandrine was cutting her mom’s and her brother’s hair. She got some skills that encouraged her to add a hair salon part to her business.

Adamo is very much a mama’s boy, while Alessandra gets along with both parents equally. Even if Christian and Monica tells them they have no favorite, Adamo clearly is.

The parents forced their kids to attend French speaking schools, which is unusual for italo-québécois. Historically, most Italian immigrants chose to learn English. But the Lombardi parents wanted them to fit in the province. They spoke very little Italian at home, only what their Nonna taught them, and learned French easily. All the way from elementary school to superior education school (called CÉGEP), they had second language English classes. Adamo is talented with communications, but it turns out Alessandra is better in languages. She was at the top of her class, both in French and in English. Her first career choice was not business or beauty related, it was translation.

Growing up, the siblings had the dream to build a large house in the suburbs of Montréal so they could live with their parents and eventually with their respective families.

They also had a dream to become both politicians and rule whatever they would rule together. Let’s be honest, they would fight too much and put the world into anarchy, but a dream is a dream.

Adamo is the only person who is aware of Sandrine’s bisexuality. He supports it and will not reveal this “secret” to their quite traditional parents.

Meet the little Senaviev’s because I feel like talking about this lovely family and I’m taking a break from all those asks. 

Grace Harper Senaviev nee Ryan - Born March 26th, 2010 in London, England. She is very outgoing, curious, adventurous, caring and compassionate. And has gorgeous red, wavy hair. Tachanka and Skylar adopted her after the white masks took her and her father hostage, unfortunately her father didn’t make it. And with no family of Grace’s to take her in, and since Grace knew them, they decided it was best to adopt her, knowing they could give her a loving home. 

Twins Marianna Skylar & Konstantin Alexsandr Senaviev - Born November 4th, 2021 in Elis, Greece. Marianna is the female version of her father. Blonde hair, blue eyes, blunt, very outgoing and very protective of her mother. Konstantin is the male version of Skylar. Chestnut brown hair and hazel eyes, laid back, introverted, very compassionate and loves animals. The twins were a shock at first, Skylar never thought she would have a set of twins, but no less happy and excited. She also jokes that Tachanka was right, that they would have both, a boy and a girl when they had kids and he was definitely right. 

Grayson Micheal Senaviev nee Carson - Born January 20th, 2023 in Worcester, MA. He’s very shy, kind, loving and likes to help to people. Grayson came to Skylar and Tachanka in a very unplanned way, more so than Grace did. His mother way an old friend of Skylar’s older sister Chloe that got involved with drugs, eventually leading to her son being taking away after multiple warnings and her doing jail time. Chloe called Skylar and told her about the situation and later that night after a long talk, Tachanka and Skylar decided to adopt him too. He also has an open adoption, so his birth mom can still get pictures and occasional visits when they’re in the states. 

Lubov Evelina Senaviev - Born February 14th, 2027 in Elis, Greece. Lulu is a mix of both parents, loud, compassionate, hyperactive, curious and very loving. Quite fitting for a girl born on Valentines day, which also happens to be Tachanka and Skylar’s wedding anniversary. Her name also means love and light in Russian.

Day 7- A first time

If there was one thing that Aiden learned early on in life it was that the term love was just a word people used as a way to manipulate others to look past their wrongdoings and keep them in their place. Or at least that was how his mother used it against him and his father when he was growing up and even going so far as to twist the hybrid’s perception of it from his father. So when his parents finally separated when he was 15 he chose her only to be nearly killed then left alone in the world, not really knowing how to survive.

Aiden’s beliefs, lack of trust in anyone, and hunger from both his vampiric side and the curse to feed on the life force of anyone he got close too, they all added up to mean that he made no meaningful connections for a long time because they would just end up dead. That started to change the day he met a certain vampire and mage sibling pair who began to teach him control. Zackary, to control his bloodlust and how to hunt properly. Luna, being the last full-powered nature mage taught him to control his powers of nature and how to use them both as an outlet and to steady himself. Not long after those two, he met Layla, the angel who taught him how to use her grace properly, and Plague who later became the first of his best friends. The last two people of consequence the hybrid met for nearly 100 years was Alice and Steven who, by request of his father, took him under their wings and taught him how to feed properly to satisfy the curse. Admittedly though he lost contact with Plague for a while and was in and out of it with the rest which often left to him spiral from the loss of real connection.

He tried a few times over the years but friends rarely stayed, ether calling him too much or annoying or they just wanted something. The people he let himself get closer often ended up dead or ‘fall in love’ with him, so they claimed. If they dared tell him such he just left, he wouldn’t allow himself to manipulated.

Some good things did happen though. He met his familiar, a small kitsune kit that he named Kida and she helped him greatly. He discovered his passion for animals and that he could understand them for the most part. He eventually reconnected with his father and while their relationship is still rocky somedays it was good to have him in his corner again. He met his two other best friends, though those are stories for another day. He met up with Plague again, though they had changed he didn’t mind it because they both had. There was now a home for all of them to be safe and secure, at least as much as they really could be. All of that was good and all but probably the best thing about recent years, at least to Aiden, was meeting Skylar. Their first meeting a little weird but the valkyrie soon grew on him and while he wasn’t really paying attention she was chipping away at the wall he had built up around himself.

She was kind and patent with him but didn’t put up with his self-hatred, always quick pull him out of it and remind him that it just wasn’t true. She was understanding of his past and his viewpoints, actually listening instead of dismissing them or telling him he was wrong. When storms raged outside she always checked on him, even if she knew someone else had him. Aiden honestly thought she would just be another one of his best friends and in a way she is but the connection seemed to run so much deeper and he didn’t know why.

He soon found himself missing her company when she had to leave for her missions or he had to hunt. Even on his darkest days, when all he wanted was to be alone, he found comfort just sitting in silence with her in the room doing her own thing. Her smile always put him at ease and made things more bearable. The slightest touch made his heart sore and him realize just how starved of it he was. Cuddles when they were both home became as necessary as water was to live, technically you can survive without it with a substitute but it was so much better with it.

Of course, when he voiced it to his friends Plague play like they were just as clueless while Alaric and Mason just shared a look. They knew the answer to when the hybrid was experiencing but they didn’t dare voice it because if they did then he would surely run. No, the person that finally gave him an answer was actually Skylar herself.

“I love you…..” The words left the valkyrie’s lips as if she had been holding them in for a long time. She saw the panic fill his brown eyes and she gently took his hand to ground him to the moment and out of his head. “It’s okay... I’m not looking to hear it in return, I know how you feel about it and I would never try to change that... It is probably selfish of me but I needed to say it so you knew where I am…” She supplied softly before letting go of his hand so he could leave.

Aiden stared at her for a long time, letting the words turn over in his head. Love? Was that the word for this feeling? Something he had spent his whole life hating and avoiding, so sure it was just a way to manipulate people to stay together or do what you want? Yet here Skylar was giving him her heart, trusting him not to break it and yet not wanting anything in return. That wasn’t possible, was it? Brown eyes met green ones and he couldn’t find any hidden motive or ill intent. Still, his initial reaction was to run to protect himself but he couldn’t bring himself to move. His second reaction was to assure her it was okay but he couldn’t find the words.

Skylar could see his internal conflict and sighed softly. “Sorry…” She moved to turn and walk away.

Aiden’s brain and heart were arguing but it was instinct that won out because he just knew he didn’t want her to leave. His hand moved to stop her, pulling her closer to him and into a deep kiss, her melting into it once the surprise wore off. Deep down Aiden already knew how he felt about her and that she had the correct word of it. She had broken through all of his walls and he had let himself fall hard. He pulled back to break the kiss, laying his forehead against hers.

“I love you too Skylar… More then I thought possible…”

Meet Diana Raudenfeld, a seventeen years old Artist. She is described as quiet, graceful and touchy, and looks like Astrid Berges-Frisbey. She is currently a junior at Matilda Golden’s Preparatory Academy.

Growing up was difficult when one has no time to be a child. Diana, born to an actress and a cop, was the definition of having two separate worlds. She never knew her dad, who lived in the States and probably didn’t know of her existence. And her mother was mostly absent, sleeping with directors and working in B-class movies. It was hard for Diana to have a normal life, but it was even harder when her mother decided to shove her into the limelight at the age of four.

If Diana didn’t have a life then, she definitely didn’t have a life of her own anymore. Becoming more famous than her own mother, the girl’s fans grew with every movie she made. But for Diana, this was suffocating. So the search for her dad began and it ended with him asking her to meet him. This was a chance to leave it all behind, but it didn’t come with no strings attached; her mother---more like momager, wanted her to build a fan following in America.

So the wisest thing to do to get out of her mother’s thumb was to enroll into the closest school she could find. Now, three years and counting, her mother hasn’t said a word. But apparently, her movies had a cult following in America and Diana worries her new identity will crack under all the scrutiny in this school.

Connections include:

Skylar Maxwell → Ex boyfriend. They broke up in the middle of sophmore year, after a year and half of being together. Diana doesn’t know why that even happened, just it did and it wrecked her.

Sahale Brown → She likes being on his side of the camera, as he’s been teaching her to take pictures. She’s taken by his passion and love for photography.

Lizbeth Alan  → Currently her only best friend in the school, and also the keeper of her secret. Diana happens to be the only one who hasn’t pitied Lizbeth’s condition, so that keeps them stable enough.

PROMPT 006: HEADCANONS

ABOUT SAGE

Sage wanted to become an art therapist after she received the treatment herself when she was recovering from surgery in the hospital.

Sage is an Egyptian polytheist, which means she believes in the gods of the Ancient Egyptians. She believes her cat, Nefertari, is a reincarnation of the Egyptian Queen. (Sage doesn’t have all her marbles)

Sage doesn’t really publicize the fact that she is demigirl. Once in while, she’ll prefer ze/they pronouns to she pronouns, but she doesn’t mind if she’s mis-pronouned.

Sage is extremely fit and very much in shape. She eats clean and never has anything processed. Sage meal preps every Sunday night, and her fridge is stocked with vegetables and healthy snacks.

Sage is always dressed from head to toe in black. even on the hottest days of the summer. She has a scar on the top of her head from her surgery, and always wears her hair down to cover it. You will never see her with her hair up, except when she goes to the gym. Even then, she’ll wear a baseball cap on her head to cover the scar.

Sage doesn’t live alone, but her roommate is an NPC. Said roommate is a Wiccan art major who performs voodoo spells on people. Needless to say, she and Sage get along great and they’ve had zero problems.

Sage is actually one of the most giving and selfless people on the face of the planet (see below in regards to her charity) but it’s all underneath her bitchiness.

Sage thinks everyone else’s problems are extremely petty compared to what she’s had to go through. Therefore, she has little sympathy for others and is extremely judgmental, resulting in her blunt comments.

ABOUT HER DISEASE

Sage was diagnosed with a benign ogliodengroglioma, which is a tumor found in the oligodendrocytes. These brain cells help make up the glial structures, which are supportive brain tissue. The tumor was benign, meaning non-cancerous.

These tumors grow very slowly and can take a long time to diagnose. Because Sage started showing symptoms right after her mother walked out on the family, it was assumed that she was suffering from emotional distress and would get over it. Sage didn’t go for a full diagnosis until she had a seizure at a school assembly one day. The tumor was surgically removed and Sage had no problems with the operation. She had to go through radiation therapy in order to ensure the tumor was gone.

As a result of the tumor, Sage still has seizures. Because her brain still feels the absence of the cells/tumor that was once there, it is trying to repair itself. The constant misfiring of the neurons in her brain are what cause the seizures. They are frequent enough to be considered epilepsy.

The drastic change in her personality was only evident to people who knew her before her symptoms started to develop. Because the tumor was located in the part of the brain that affected personality, Sage has been different ever since.

Despite epilepsy being on an official “disability” according to the American Disabilities Act, Sage will never refer to it as such. However, should you insult her personality, intelligence, or anything else about her, she will be certain to throw that back in your face.

The one person Sage wanted to visit her in the hospital but never did was her mother.

ABOUT HER CHARITY

Sage’s charity is called Carpe Diem, which is a play on “seize the day.” We all know she has a great sense of humor, right?

Most of the money is raised through the sales of her coloring books. Sage designs the sketches and works with several nonprofit publishers in order to get them printed. Before she went mass-market, Sage used to bind the books by hand.

Her most recent business venture was launching a deal with Crayola, and she plans to sell the books and crayon/colored pencil sets together.

The money from her charity goes to pay for people whose health insurance won’t cover expenses related to brain injury, seizure disorders, epilepsy, and brain trauma. It could be as simple as a doctor’s appointment to a full on tumor surgery. Sage herself will frequently funnel money into operations if she hears a story that moves her stone cold heart.

So with the Affordable Care Act no longer in effect, her charity is going to be really busy.

ABOUT HER HOBBIES

Despite her lack of social norms, Sage is very involved in a lot of activities. She keeps herself busy, which is probably a good thing.

Sage is an avid hiker and is extremely familiar with the trails and mountains of LA. She always wants to hike alone, but her friends will never let her. She knows how to forage and probably would prefer to live in the woods.

Art has been her saving grace and Sage loves a multitude of different mediums. Her favorite, by far, is watercolor. Her paintings are surprisingly dark while still using a lot of color.

Sage makes candles and sells them on Etsy. It’s kind of a dumb hobby but she enjoys it.

Sage is very physically fit and goes to the gym every day. Her most recent venture is in boxing, and she trains with a group of her friends.

Sage is obsessed with death and the paranormal. She meditates in graveyards because it gives her peace. Sage has a yoga instructor certificate, and she’s a very avid meditator.

She isn’t afraid of death, only of suffering. She’s looked death smack in the face and came through. When it’s her time, it’s her time.

ABOUT HER FAMILY

Sage loves her siblings even though she wants to shake them most of the time.

She does not speak of her mother and despite the psychological trauma it’s left on her, will not ever speak of her mother.

Sage is closest to Dena, even though the girl makes Sage want to shake her. See above.

Sage loves to work out with Skylar-- it’s their biggest bonding point. Sometimes, Sage doesn’t have to say anything, Skylar will just know by how hard she’s hitting the bag.

Sage tends to mother Avery, who she thinks needs it, but also strives for the girl to be independent.

Sage has little patience for Maddox and his antics. She’s the sibling who will always give him the slap in the face of tough love.

ABOUT HER RELATIONSHIPS

Sage’s sexuality is to be questioned. She prefers women (and lowkey hates men) but every once in a while will sleep with a man. She doesn’t understand it, but nobody’s pressuring her to label it, so oh well.

However, her romantic life has always been a little more clear cut: Sage is demiromantic and rarely ever feels romantic attraction.

Her best friends in the world are Cassie, Hadley, and Natalie. They’ve labeled themselves as the Bitch Squad for appropriate reasons. Mess with them and you die xo
