having to rethink everything about rosquez because what do you mean 125cc didn't race in laguna seca in 2008 and marc did not witness the vale/casey overtake live?

Just remembered that it was THIS season that we were despairing about how marc hadn't finished a race in like a year🧍

How are the statistics for motogp riders' children that biased. How do they all have daughters.

The thing I don't like about the Marquez/Acosta comparisons is that Pedro is statistically more successful than Marc is. Like you cannot compare him to anyone. Like in Marcs 4th year in grand prix racing he was making his moto2 debut, not his MotoGP debut. You cannot compare Acosta to any rider because we have never seen the likes of him before

"average motogp rider makes 3 documentaries a year" factoid actually just statistical error average motogp rider makes 0 documentaries per year. Marc Marquez, who documents every second of his life & releases 15 documentaries each year, is an outlier and should not have been counted

I was scared to even follow you at first bc you would do those stats of where everyone was in the MotoGP, moto2, moto3, championships
I swear I'm not threatening! Nor is anyone in MotoGPblr!
I did them because I'm a visual learner. I need to see them to know if a 45 points is or it isn't a big gap. I also like to see how championship has moved. See how many riders have lead them and the amount of points over the competition. I'm just that type of nerd, but I also know not everyone likes them @racingmuppett in their @racingmuppett-stats blog and @ferrarism ( @ferrarigays-moved-to-ferrarism ) do post stats and statistics if you are into those things too.
All the content I post (and mos of the MotoGPblr post) is for our enjoyment, you don't need to be afraid of us.

men talking about women in motorsport irks me so. fucking. much. "a woman wouldn't be able to drive a formula one car" why? because she's smaller? Yuki Tsunoda is small. I, 18 years old girl, am taller than him. I can train to be as strong as him. "motogp is too physical" really? I suppose I allucinated Dani riding then. He said it himself: it was harder for him. Not impossible. And when you point out that, of course, there are women that can reach this level of strenght, they hit you with "but no woman has ever scored in formula 1/rode in motogp". Yes. It's a statistical thing you fucking idiot. How many men actually reach the highest level of motoracing? I will tell you. Not a fucking lot. If out of, idk, 200 kids starting karting, 1 reaches f1, what do you think the proportion is when the girls karting are 20?

it seems that acosta is statistically more successful than marc, because he debuted in moto 3 at the age of 17. Marc was much more precocious and made his debut after a few weeks of being 15 years old, and because of his diminutive physique he would not have been able to spend the following year in moto 2, because physically he would not have been able to handle a bigger bike. In any case, he too, like Acosta, moved up in category at the age of 18, and in his two Moto2 seasons he rode 32 races compared to Acosta's 38, but his numbers for poles, podiums and victories are better(He would have won the moto2 world championship in his first year, had it not been for the accident at sepang and the subsequent diplopia that made him miss the last two races of the season) Both of them, after two years in moto2, arrived in motogp at the age of 20 (already turned 20 for marc, yet to be turned 20 for acosta).
I think there's a marquez fan whining in my asks but I'm too thinking about the AcostaGP era to come I can't be bothered to read it
Also acosta debuted at 16

Entry 1: eSport Event
In recent years, the eSport phenomenon has grown in both numbers of players and audiences, as well as in the broadcast of certain events (Llorens, 2017). It is still uncommon to think of eSport gaming as an actual sport activity, but it is an issue that deserves careful consideration (Llorens, 2017). Although it does divide people whether it's classed as a sport or not it is becoming more accepted in today's society (Jenny et al., 2016). Although eSports has been around since the 1990’s, Covid-19 only accelerated the growth of esports by providing a competition for indoor lockdowns and social isolation (Thompson et al., 2022).
There are multiple different types of eSports. FIFA videogame series and MotoGP eSports championships are examples of traditional eSports (Mudditt, 2022). In contrast, League of Legends is the most popular eSport game, which is an arena-based multiplayer battle that focuses on strategic play (Mudditt, 2022). With tens of millions of dollars in prize pools, League of Legends has changed the landscape of esports (Mudditt, 2022). It is estimated that about US$1 billion to $3 billion is generated from Esports (Mudditt, 2022). Michael Jordan, Shaquille O'Neal, and David Beckham are among the high profile esports investors (Mudditt, 2022). With being such worldwide influential sporting individuals, the investment makes sense. Also, big companies such as Coca Cola, Intel and Red bull have taken the opportunity to invest in the growing industry.

Previously reserved for arcades, eSport competitions have now taken over big arenas and live streaming makes them accessible to people across the globe (Navarre, 2019). There have been some high attendance numbers at eSport events considering its not legitimately classed as a sport. In 2015 the League of Legends world championship held a live audience of 43,000 people and 36 million viewers on the live stream over a month's competition (Navarre, 2019). Not only have the numbers of participation and viewership grown since covid, but the future is also looking promising for eSports with an estimate of another 1.8 billion dollars by 2025.
