Istg, there is some psycho shit going on between Marc and Vale, because yes, it was wet and no one does wet quite like Marc Marquez and yes he still is Marc Marquez, which means you can never write him off, but the second Vale is in the paddock: Pole.
it’s the way marc and valentino are so similar to each other, and it’s so universally acknowledged, but they are also fundamentally different in the sense that valentino’s greatest obsession is legacy, while marc’s greatest obsession is winning. both would do everything and anything for it. and that is ultimately what ended up being their destruction.
Dani saying he's surprised about being welcomed by the riders and the fans the way he is and was last year already, makes me so damn sad. People still speak so highly about him (he seems to be the only rider Pedro respects after that FP1) because he is and was an extraordinary rider and we love him so much! He's a likeable character and it's fun to watch him.
Okay, I get it, many riders just get forgotten after 5 years of retirement but Dani Pedrosa has/ had such an impact on other riders that he is still so dear to them (and the fans obviously). And he has no idea how much actually.
It's giving Sebastian Vettel being back in Suzuka 2023 vibes when he was surprised that so all riders and teams showed up.
In short (like dani) and with the words of Sebastian Vettel (with minor changes):
"Everybody is Pedrosa fan, even if they're not, they are Pedrosa fans. Even if you go to the Academy guys. Even if they say 'Oh Valentino Rossi is the greatest rider in the world' They are Dani fans."
