Best Partition Manager :
Why You Need a great and one of the best partition manager software.? Well here we gonna discuss about why having a partition manager software is really important. Nowadays almost all of the new laptops and PCs come with only one Hard Disk partition by default, C:\, the same one that has Windows OS installed on it by default. The not so tech-savvy users start using his PC the way they are presented to them; they put all of their documents, personal files, important data such as pictures, songs, movies, etc. on the same C:\, partition. Having only one partition on your entire hard disk has so many disadvantages such as:
The problem of Fragmentation: The continuous deleting and copying of data on the computer hard drive gives birth to the problem of Fragmentation. If there was only one partition on a 1TB disk, the fragmentation will scatter the fragments of data files throughout the 1TB partition space, which means that in order to use that file, the software assigned to open that file, it has to crawl all of the 1TB to assemble and completely load the file from all of its fragments. Now just imagine what if the same file was placed in a 200GB partition instead; then the software has to crawl only 1/10th of total hard disk space this time to load that file completely; the time required to open that file also reduced drastically. This all results in a quicker overall hard disk response.
Better Backups (and Cloning): Backup is the process of making and exact duplicate copy of your data. Having more than one partition allows you to make separate backups for all types of data – Operating System and Program Files, and User files. So, if you want to create a backup of Windows files and all of the installed software then you just need to backup your C: drive. Similarly, if you want to create a backup of the user files, your personal documents, then you can backup all of your drives except the C:.
Windows Reinstallation: Having a dedicated Windows drive makes reinstalling Windows easier. If your Windows is not working properly or some of your windows core files got corrupted and you want to reinstall it, or you want to perform a System OS upgrade, then it would be better if your OS and Data were in separate partitions.
Multi-Boot: Having multiple partitions allows the user install and run multiple operating systems. You may be a regular user of Windows but have to use Linux (Ubuntu, Linux Mint etc) for one particular software that is only available for Linux, and vice-versa.
Drive Errors/System Crash: If your Windows partition run into any type of critical error, and became inaccessible or unbootable, you will lose access to all of your files as well because they were also stored in the same single partition.
Malware Attack: Malware are being created to do a specific task. There are different types of malware such as Virus, Worms, Spyware, Ransomware, Trojans etc. Some malware can attack your hard disk partitions, and delete or encrypt all your data. The drive C: is the most obvious target of these malware.
Limited Productivity/ Unorganized Data: Storing all kinds of files on the same partition can make it difficult to organize or arrange the data according to your usage requirement, which is one of the causes of limited productivity of the user. You can create multiple partitions to organize different types of files, photos or other data, such as one partition titled Work stores Work related documents, another titled Personal stores Personal files another titled family pictures etc. Alternatively, you could make partitions for various types of files i.e., separate partitions for documents, music, videos, and pictures.
More control over Partitions: Even if you have already have multiple partitions on your disk, there may come a point in future when you have to perform certain partition related jobs such as resizing or extending an existing partition, merging adjacent partitions, splitting one whole partition into multiple small ones, or extending partition into unallocated space. Partition managers give the user more control over his hard disk and its partition(s).
Advanced Partitioning Features: With the third-party Partition Manager tools, you can do all those things that the default Windows Disk Management tool does not let you do or don’t have ability to perform some special tasks. These software/tools also provide many advanced features such as copy or clone the entire partition, clone OS to another HDD or SSD, convert between GPT and MBR partition tables, convert file system between FAT32 and NTFS, etc.
Additions Tools: The best partition managers also provide many additional tools as well that can perform various disk related important functions such as checking disk for errors or corrupted files, partitions having bad sectors, wipe partition, hide/unhide partition, surface test, change drive letters, set active partition, initialize a new disk, etc.
