@dancinghearts​ Has Asked: As if he hasn't just gained another year, Ramuda is crashing into the author at high speeds. Letting out a happy squeal and snuggling him, he's clearly happy to see Gentaro.

"Happy birthday! I got you tons of nice stuff! A new futon cause yours was getting worn, some comfy clothes for lazy days, a nice new notebook and a real fancy matchy pen! I'm just the bestest, I know~"

He wasn’t surprised in the slightest by the sudden snuggles. He had heard the others footsteps and was prepared. Turning he caught the other, letting out a small chuckle. Of course the other had remembered what day it was.

“Why thank you Ramuda. Tis sweet that thou would remember. I am honored. I don’t even know how to thank thee enough.”

He chuckles, setting him back onto his feet. “Would going home and snuggling up do?”

Ramuda was glad he seemed interested in the game! He knew he would be! After all, he did make it a point to know about his posse! He watched them read the instructions and then grabbed the included booklet with all the cases in it. "We both solve it! The answers to the thing are on a different page! And when we call it out, we get to look at the culprit and stuff! Ooo~! Read the case out loud, Gentaro! Read it!!" he giggled as he handed him the book and looked at the pawns. Hm. Why wasn't there a pink one? Fine. He took red and set it at the town center.

Why had he asked Gentaro to read aloud? Well, out of all of them, Gentaro had the best reading voice. So soft and smooth, it made you wanna listen to the book for hours. Ramuda figured that having him read the case would be a great opening for this game! He helped set up everything in accordance to the book and once it was, he sat back and started to fidget with his ribbon as he waited.

They both started the game, gathering notes, clues, and Gentaro fully obliged.  It was true, Gentaro’s reading voice brought the game to life. He made a spectacle out of the mystery-thriller with various ad-libbing narration of the scenes of the crime as if he were reading the mystery out of a book or a play. Someone would say he... definitely was enjoying the game more than expected, as he exaggerated some of the scenes and gave his accusations with untainted emotion.

Samatoki cares to a degree about physical appearance, mostly that you look put together and put at least a little bit of effort in. He doesn't care if you're not the type to like make-up of any sort or if you're not up to date in the latest fashions, as long as you wear what you want with confidence he'll find you attractive. He can be turned off real quick by someone who's weak-willed or has a poor morals so it's half and half for him.

Dice doesn’t really care about looks, he noticed whether your beauty was conventional or not but as long as he liked you as a person he could still find himself attracted to you. He’s surrounded by gorgeous women who want his money regularly (when he has it) at the casino so he’s used to seeing people with beauty that only ran skin deep. He thinks in the end your personality being compatible with his is what would matter most if you ended up dating.

Gentaro liked people who had a unique flair to them, who were still well-kempt but not dirty or grubby looking. He liked to know his partner was put together and cared about their outside appearance, not to mention the best way to get his attention is by him coming up with an interesting backstory for you in his head when you passed him by. Personality matters, of course, but without the initial attraction he doesn’t think he would have ever gone out of his way to speak to you. It sounded cold but it was just the way the world worked in his opinion.

@dancinghearts​ Has Asked: Feeling a little ignored, Ramuda had given Gentaro the benefit of the doubt for a while. Maybe the book he was reading was just really interesting? But he was still not paying attention to him even after a few minutes!

So he got up, Ramuda grabbing the book from him and toasing it aside. Happily getting comfy on his lap, he pulled his favorite liar into a deep kiss. Allowing his hands to wander, in the end he gave his ass a nice squeeze.

"Gentaro~ gimme attention~"

Of course he was a little preoccupied. It was rare his nose wasn’t in a book either reading or jotting down some notes. This one in particular was for pleasure, taking his time to read as he sat with the other. The last thing he expected was for the book to be ripped from his hands.

“Ramuda.....”

He blushed as he felt the squeeze, hiding his face in the other’s shoulder.

“Why does thou feel the need to act impishly.”

The snow trickled down outside the window, lighting the world in a soft glow as the white specks glistened in the lamplight. The harsh, windy snowstorm that had been raging for hours, was now beginning to die down, leaving piles of snow barricading every driveway and entrance. You were temporarily so enthralled by the beauty, that you barely heard your name being called.

“Y/N, darling,” Gentaro called out, fluffy up a pillow as he leaned in the kiss the top of your head.

“Oh, sorry, I got distracted,” you smiled, turning away from the cold window and back towards the warmth of the apartment.

You had been helping push together the chairs and bring out the blankets when you had gotten distracted by the falling snow, and in that time, Gentaro had managed to put together a decently sized fort for the two of you to sit in.

“You left me all alone to my devices, but I managed to put my best foot forward and create the perfect fort, if only so that we could spend some time together in it,” Gentaro wistfully said, taking your hand in his own and pulling you towards the entrance.

You chuckled slightly, crawling into the fort behind him and laying back on one of the pillows with a sigh. There were fairy lights adorning the interior and you found the space rather cozy as you snuggled up to your boyfriend.

“It’s perfect, Gentaro, I love it,” you said, leaning up to kiss his cheek as he sat down beside you.

“Of course, it is!” Gentaro boasted, bringing one arm to wrap around you and the other to casually pull out one of the books from the stack he had brought inside with him. “It’s a snow day after all, so we might as well get comfortable.”

“Are you going to read me a bedtime story?” you mused, poking Gentaro’s side and making him chuckle.

“Better,” Gentaro said, clearing his throat. “You get to be the first one to read my new novel I’m working on,” he told you. Your eyes lit up as you sat up slightly with excitement. Gentaro rarely ever showed you his new works until they were completely finished, so this was a first for you.

“Really? What’s it called? What’s it about?” you asked peppering him with questions. Gentaro raised an eyebrow and hummed happily.

“Well, I was just lying of course, I wouldn’t read a rough draft for you until it was perfect,” he simply said with a smile. Your happiness dissipated at once as you groaned.

“Gentaro! Don’t tease me like that,” you whined, beginning to push him away, but he simply smiled and pulled you back into his side.

“It’s sweet that you want to read all of the things I write, darling,” he said, kissing your nose. “But for now, why don’t I just read you this riveting tale of arch enemies competing in a deadly competition to see who can reach the end goal first?”

“I knew it! You are going to read me a bedtime story!”

Gentaro Yumeno Musings under the cut - these are all headcanons

I’m really thinking of what oniitaro is like, what gentaro is like with him...I’ve always headcanoned that they are twins and in a lot of ways very very similar. i think they’re both incredibly imaginative and whip-smart, i think that their love language is gently messing with people, i think for a while in their youth they were actually near identical and would mess with their friends and family by doing the “twin swap” thing. they’re both ravenously curious and getting into things they shouldn’t be.

now i think you can tell them apart easier--oniitaro’s hair is longer and he’s skinnier than gentaro (please i’m dying on the hill of chubby gentaro). i also think oniitaro is the “nicer” brother -- he’s more cordial and friendly, the kind of guy who can make friends with anyone. gentaro i think is a lot more closed off--he’ll be polite, but he doesn’t want to really make friends with anyone and keeps people at arms-length. i also think oniitaro is the “braver” one, not that gentaro is a coward because he’s not, just that gentaro is able to draw a line and knows when to retreat. he’s a better strategist, you could say. or you could say oniitaro confuses “bravery” with “brash stupidity”. 

i actually think that oniitaro’s stubborn bravery in going after chuuoku or the party of words is actually what got him sent to the hospital in the first place...when you’re ignoring the signs of where you should stop...someone is eventually going to stop you somehow. And for oniitaro that was with the party of words.
