I'm just not sure... Amane could just be dead, I guess, and Tsukasa. Or he could be alive, and old. I have a vague theory that he must be a kaii because of, whatever he or Tsukasa had done together during the shinjuu... (maybe Amane was impulsed to eat some part of Tsukasa, maybe the God blessed Amane at the last second, etc etc)... it's hard to imagine Amane would be a school mystery-- Tsukasa is his yorishiro after all... and we don't quite know what circumstances make Sumire and Tsukasa into objects, if being sacrificed to the God had something essential to do with that...

Well, so interesting, I wonder if Nene-chan will have to go even further than she did in Picture Perfect-- in that arc, she had to choose to reject a seemingly perfect, but ultimately fabricated, world; even if it was 'nicer' than the 'real world'. Now, she might be shown a world fixed of its cracks-- it could even possibly be a world Amane never had to murder his brother, like she wanted before. Nene-chan is so often getting "what she asked for" in the wrong way, at the wrong time. She fell in love with "Hanako". Is the boy she fell in love with "here"? Is he in a form she can confess to?

Furthermore, she just bonded with Tsukasa, and has knowledge of the Red House... must be essential, to write that happening before this-- just before, even. Tsukasa even inspired her to need to free herself, even if Amane isn't there to save her.

Poor Nene-chan though-- so scary!!! What an awful situation to be in HAHAHA, flung around...

I have no idea what Mitsuba's situation will be, but Tsukasa is responsible for our "Mitsuba" to even be around. He wouldn't have even managed to become the ghost about the entryway without Tsukasa kaii-ifying him through his first, vague wish.

Well, it would be funny if these things were all true now:

Okay so I googled it and apparently Season 2 hasn't been confirmed but there is plenty of material from the manga available to make a sequel. If anyone has any other information, I would LOVE for someone to reply to this with that info.

REVIEW TIME!

Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun is an anime about a ghost named Hanako-Kun, who haunts the school bathroom, being summoned by Nene Yashiro, a girl who dreams of having a boyfriend to love her for who she is. Despite how weird and crackhead-sounding the title and storyline are, the show has an amazing plot and incredible characters. Definitely high up on my list of animes I love. Overall, I have to rate Season 1 a definite 8/10. The show is awesome, but I despise the fact that all the characters keep making fun of Nene's legs as if a woman is supposed to have every single feature of her body be perfect. I feel like it would've made more sense if you had people make fun of her boobs or something rather than her ankles because for her boobs to be kinda underdeveloped in high school would be a definite target for bullying rather than a feature as random as her ankles. I am definitely a Hananene shipper, and possibly a Mitsukou shipper. I still wanna know WHY Hanako killed Tsukasa, and if my s3xu@l @$$ault theory was right or not. I can't wait for Season 2 to come out, and I hope they continue to have the show be the masterpiece it is.

Hanako sighed, "Well, we have to find out why she did this. Our first suspect, however, is Yashiro."

A few minutes later, our beloved group sat in a circle, (or square- since- you get my point-) eating donuts and drinking smoothies.

"So Yashiro..." Hanako started, "What were you doing when Aoi-San bumped into you?"

"I was about to go to the garden to check the plants, when she bumped into me" Yashiro answered.

Kou raised an eyebrow. "If you were heading to the garden, why did you have cooking books and materials?" he added to Hanako's question.

Yashiro's face turned beet red.

"W-Well..." she started, which lead to a gulp.

She covered her face with her hands and said, "I was about to make a gift for Hanako-Kun..."

Now it was Hanako-Kun's turn to be beet red.

"WH-WHAAAAA?!" he said bolting upright, nearly dropping his donut, "SERIOUSLY?!"

His smile was so wide, Yashiro also couldn't help but smile aswell.

"Anyway, back to the interview!" Kou interrupted. (WHY RUIN THE MOMENT 👀👀👀)

"What was Aoi-San wearing the time you bumped into her?" Mitsuba asked.

"She was wearing a hoodie over her uniform" Yashiro answered.

After a few more hours of interrogating Yashiro, the group decided to clean up and end the interrogation for the day.

Hanako and Yashiro left the rooftop, while Mitsuba and Kou were left.

"Do you have any lead?" Mitsuba asked after a couple minutes of silence.

Looking at the papers he did, Kou sighed, "Sadly, I don't."

Mitsuba leaned closer to Kou to see the papers closely.

"It's a huge piece of sticky note, and yet you only manage to write that?" Mitsuba scoffed.

"H-Hey!" Kou protested, "Atleast the paper isn't a waste!"

Mitsuba rolled his eyes and clapbacked, "We could've used it for the next interview."

Kou and Mitsuba then chased each other.

Meanwhile, Hanako and Nene ended up in a cuddling session, talking about their day other than what happened. (BHhavHYagzh im turning soft-)

"Hanako-Kun, did you really know about Aoi being the student who knew about my lifespan?" she asked after minutes of Hanako playing with her hair. (THIS IS TOO WHOLESOME AAAAAAA-)

"I didn't know until the hood fell off. Her disguise was really well done, so maybe that's why you didn't recognize her" Hanako answered.

Nene thought about it for a while, which led to silence.

It was a few hours of silence, until Hanako kissed Nene. (this is de crap we need UWU)

"Wh- HANAKO-KUNNNN!" Nene exclaimed, turning into a puddle of daikon tomato soup.

Hanako chuckled, "Sorry, I had the urge to."

Kou came rushing in with Mitsuba.

"OI HANAKO WHAT DID YOU DO TO SENPAI?!" Kou shouted.

Hanako shot his grin and said, "Nothing."

Feelings of isolation?? Because she’s perfect at everything she does??  It really does seem like she might be suffering feelings of depression, which was exacerbated when the minions took her ability to care? Those with depression often find themselves wanting to go far away.

When you really think about it, Aoi isn’t really seen to be interacting with anyone other than Nene or Akane? She has to keep a distance from boys or they’ll just fall for her or get threatened by Akane, and other girls are likely jealous of her.

And Nene recently has been away busy with Hanako, so she probably doesn’t see Nene that much outside of classtime or club.

There’s a loneliness in not being able to bond with anyone over shared experiences, like complaining over school together, or gossiping about love. We’ve seen that Aoi can beat Akane in academics seemingly effortlessly even when Akane goes through tremendous stress and effort. (speaking as a formal gifted student, it seems like this is what’s happening here, or I may be projecting 😂)
