What We Do In the Shadows....
That Marwa’s scenes made me cringe....
...yes I know its a comedy...
...yes I know the vampires are pretty much selfish....
Look Nanderemo aside (yes that scene made me think “Oohhhh its gonna spark). I genuinely FEEL sorry for Marwa, it was her own wedding and she was NOT allowed one thing except for her parents and Nandor made it clear she only got them maybe what two or three days? (depending what day this was)
Again I know what I stated. But I dunno if its because its a comedy/or the blind shipping, we’re kinda ignoring that Marwa is somewhat abused? Or lacking character? Look I’m just saying this were any type of show I’d hear feminists or someone criticizing this show that its overlooking how Marwa’s treated. His literal last wish was for Marwa to just do what he wants. The factor that Nadja herself was among the list to object says a lot. And yes BIG kudos to her for calling out Nandor for not really giving thought to Marwa.
I just I dunno. Characters come and go (and get killed) and I don’t want Marwa killed for Nanderemo. I want there to be some magic loopwhole where Marwa is like “why can’t I have a single THOUGHT for myself?”. I dunno let her runaway with the Djinn or even the Guide?! As for the Nanderemo... uhhh love triangles are not my happiest things with plots. Buttt like Marwa, Guillermo’s guy has not had any real screen time we know little about the other guy.
All I know is I felt REALLY bad for Marwa that she’s literally forced/brainwashed to have no real wants outside Nandor’s wishes. And poor Guillermo BD; ohgod how has he not snapped. Hope next ep he gets more of a break. Go see his long distance bf or something.
