thinking of how sonic reacts to nimue in satbk is so funny once you know that he's inadvertently missing out on a date he agreed to go on with amy

like, nimue who's a dead ringer for amy appears and says "I've been waiting for you" and sonic JUMPS out of his skin like NO WONDER DUDE he KNOWS he's screwing up not appearing for their date he prepped two chilli dogs for!!

then when he realises it's a lookalike for amy I think he starts treating her similarly to how he treats blacksmith Tails- as not his Tails but similarly enough, he initially puts an arm around nimue and praises her and only stops once caliburn tells him to back tf up and I love the implication that he would be fine to initiate skinship like that with someone who reminds him keenly of amy in the greater context of having agreed to go on a date with her 💙🩷
