札幌駅を北口から出て、東に信号2つ分だけ歩く。住所で言うと北８条西１丁目の区画。 何年も前から再開発の動きがあるのだが、ここに高層ビルが建つと、北側にある小学校の日当たりが悪くなるとか、いろいろな意見があってまだ手付かずになっている。 とは言え、街中の一等地である。このままあと何年も放置、というわけにはいかないだろう。

最近、デザイナー兼写真家の高橋俊充さんの「SNAPS ITALIA」という写真集を見た。 おそらくレンズはズミルックスで、真っ昼間から開放でスナップしまくっている。これがまたものすごく良かった。

ということで私もとりあえず真似してみようと、フォクトレンダーNOKTON 35mm f/1.4にNDフィルタを付けて開放～f/2.0くらいで撮ってみた。 当然高橋俊充さんのような雰囲気のある素晴らしい写真がパっと撮れるわけもないのだが、このレンズを昼間に開放で使ったことがほぼなかったので、ちょっと面白かった。 出てくる絵はシャープとか解像感とか、いわゆる現代的なレンズの特性は正反対。 ピント面も淡く、ボケは二線気味で、滲むようなラインが出てくる。 よく「クラシカルな写り」というレビューを見かけるが、クラシカルとはこういうことか。

ちなみにF4.0くらいからはバリっとシャープになる。 個人的にはバリっとしていたほうが好みなのだが、こういった特性を活かせるような絵を撮るような練習をするのもいいかもしれないと思った。
